    So when you hear leaking air, that's usually this prime valve?

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  Před rokem

      Its often the case as pressure is squeezing out somewhere sounding like an air leak. When the valve cant shut off properly. Check all connections first

    Hi, I've not long had my 440, and its dripping from the priming valve, I've just had it off n its clean inside, just a bit of water, it did only drip when priming but now starting to drip when in spray position aswel, any ideas what it could be?...

      Hey. Is it dripping out of the area where it screws into the machine? Or out of the valve somewhere?
      You could knock the pin ouy and take the black cap off. Then use the pin to twist in the valve as see whats happening with the black cap off.
      It could be possible that it needs tightening a little. Or it can be useful to just use a little plumbers ptfe tape around rhe thread, then screw it back in. Dont over tighten though.
      Is it an old 440i? Possibly had an aftermarket valve fitted?

      @@fletcher-nf4pn sometimes when you get a new valve they include like a locktight paste to apply to the threads which can prevent it from leaving. If you tighten it up too hard the needle could have not worked properly. Or simply the prime valves just failed. How old is the machine and does it get alot of use?

    I replaced the prime valve but it still leaks from the return hose while spraying

    • @sprayaholic

      Is it definitely clicked into spray all the way. Sometimes you have to lift the handle higher. Are you pointing towards the spray hose in spray mode or facing the back of the machine?
      Did you look in the whole when you cjanged it for debri or something clogging the small hole at the bacm

      @nanicasillas6492 maybe take it off and inspect again. Is it genuine or a cheap alternative? If its coming out the return hose then the valve isnt closing to the off position
