M&P 2.0 Galloway Precision Trigger (Flimsy Junk)
This is in regards to the Galloway precision M&P 2.0 trigger. In my opinion is somewhat flimsy and does not have a good stout feel to it. Even after installation, it feels really tight. to be honest, I’m not even gonna shoot it. I’m gonna take it out. Throw it to the side and get an Apex put in much more quality in the Apex.

Do you need an adjustable gas block?
zhlédnutí 87Před 9 hodinami
There’s a short video on why I went to an adjustable gas block on my AR. I use a Superlative .750 low profile gas block. Before the adjustable block, my shell casings were being ejected about the 1 o’clock direction , I wanted them where they should be about three to 4 o’clock. This got me back into where the rifle is properly gassed. Wasn’t hard to set the gas block. Did it in about 12 rounds?...

This week I added shoot flat porting to my Smith & Wesson 9 mm competitor. It was done by southwest precision arms in Goodyear, Arizona. 623-300-9727 It’s one of the best things I did to this guy ran absolutely perfect last night. As stated, I had no issues with the porting affecting my site or even iron sites while shooting and daylight or night time. John info@ccwclasses.com 602-490-9523

If I remember correctly, their website even states that for best performance, a muzzle break was preferred. I’m happy with it. It exceeded my expectations greatly . I was able to fix the bolt cage for it catches every time now after the last round of fired. The magazine release has nothing to do with the bolt holding open or not holding open. It was about a 20 minute fix total. I may do a video showing how I fixed it for those of you that had the issue. John

getting into the fpc so many times…cleaning etc. you know your firearrm intimately and become very knowledgeable. thank you for sharing your information. i have an fpc as well and have used it in a few local matches. it’s a great tool. you make excellent videos. thank you for sharing
i have a new FPC. my reigger pulls is 7.5 lbs. What is your pull please? I would like to see mp2 trigger upgrade also.
Where do your tht flash hider and pop up sights from ?
Where do your tht flash hover and pop up sights from ?
Not sure on the flash can, KAK industries I believe. The magpul sights were from my local gun shop. Almost everyone has those.
I had one on a SAR, they are 3D printed. Send it back and tell them they are crappy quality. Apex all the way. Nice dudes with quality parts
It is going back. I will stick with Apex or Timney for sure.
I fixed my issue. I just folded the firearm open, and was able to use a long screwdriver and reset the trigger by pushing screwdriver back to re-cocking position. Folding firearm open and using long screwdriver will help anyone who cannot pull trigger back with finger or screwdriver in the closed position. Thank you for posting video about the trigger issue.
Watched the videos (2) and am very glad I did. However, I still cannot pull the trigger back, even with a screwdriver. I tried to do it with safety on and off and still to no avail. What should I do?
Similar to a folding knife. The blade should be resting perfectly centered between the liners/scales when closed. At least very close. 👍🇺🇸
Thanks for the info!! FJB!!!
Will the fpc accept a normal ar15 but stock?
No.
Honest question - What is the purpose of this other than asthetics? Just wondering since i've seen a few torture reviews and the reinforced nylon material in the handguard does extremely well. You are adding extra parts - steel and aluminum parts - that cant be lighter than stock config right? I mean, it's meant to be an on-the-go portable and concealable rifle. You'd want it to be as light as possible i would imagine. Great video and instructions of course. Just wondering is all.
@@ricko6514 I prefer the metal guard over plastic. The plastic guard has stuff coming loose as the plastic would crush and attachments loosen up. This gun nothing but a fun time gun, not a home defense weapon or anything. Personally if I wanted a portable rifle this would not be it, it would be in 5.56 or even 308.
@@hollowpointdefense Ok i see your point. I have had mine for a year now, close to 1500 rounds and red dot and light from day one. I haven't had any issues with the attachments so far, and yeah for portable I would easily use my BCM 11.5 AR15, but still too long to fit in a backpack which is why i brought up concealability. Even with the best of your intentions you cant just walk around with an AR15 unfortunately, but the FPC in a backpack, or even the spotting scope bag from an old scope molle strapped to the side backpack. Like you said, in your case this is just a fun time gun so it makes sense. Have fun!
What mount did you use for the buttstock?
Standard QD mount.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I wasn't pushing the hammer far enough back!!🙂
Glad it helped!
I was at my LGS looking for one to purchase end of March. I couldn’t find em online He couldn’t find one at any distributors. We were both scratching our heads. Online you’d think that when I did the search the first time that the recall would have popped up. I did another search a week later and there it was. I read the reason for the recall and I was shocked how serious it was. Then I decided naaaaaaah. I’ll spend a bit more money and get the Springfield Armory St Victor 9mm carbine. Springfield QC is obviously better since they haven’t had a recall since God knows when. Smart move too since it looks like my St Victor AR.
I had zero issues with mine, but sent it in anyways.
I’ve noticed the stand that you use for the FPC in your videos. I’ve tried to search for a product like this. Can you provide any details as to where I might be able to find one for myself?

Thank you for the information about the gun stand!
@@LarryMuszynski Anytime.
Thanks man. I just sent mine off yesterday. I don't know what S&W's fix is, but my fix is to sell the gun as soon as it gets back. I should have known better to buy a polymer upper. BTW, the out of battery discharge happened to MrGunsAndGear on video as he was reviewing it. It is on CZcams. He got plastic bits in the left hand and neck.
As a veteran LEO firearms instructor & detective investigated OIS, After reading the new azpost firearm training purpose statement "skills are assessed at distance likely encountered through analysis of officer involved shooting incidents nationwide" obviously never worked in a rural areas where distances with pistols have benefit from the 25 yard qualification course thus saving the officers life. After qualification, we'll continue to train at 25 yards to benefit our department
I assist at my agency range on a regular basis, we still do 25 yard exercises. I like the new qual a lot better than the one it replaced. It has weeded out more people that should NOT have a gun than the previous qual.
We’re did get that from

I slapped a Vortex scout on mine and the eye relief is perfect. Balances out the 2 mags in the stock too.
Response is a fun gun. Thanks for all your focus on these.
You're welcome.
You need a new gun. You have pretty much run out of stuff to do with the FPC
You are right!!! There is one more thing I will discuss next weekend.
@@hollowpointdefense dammit, a cliffhanger 😜 thanks for the insight!! I’ve got a red dot on my fpc. FJB!!
I've got a Monstrum S330P 3X Prism Scope | Black from my MCK chassis that I'm going to use when I get the FPC. That should work quite well. You can use it with the power on or off. Small footprint as well
I have the Monstrum Panzer LPVO. I like it.
I field strip and clean every new gun I get before a shot is ever fired. I totally agree with your video.
@@craigroberts6439 it will save a ton of headaches.
You still using the same buffer spring on your response? After recall.
@@toddsprosky4732 I am still using what ever they put in it. I was sent another one by S&W that would be quieter but I haven’t used it yet.
How many yards would you suggest bore sighting a dot on the FPC? thank you for all of these videos you take your time to educate us on.
That is really personal preference. I use 15 yards as it is neutral for my distances out to 35 yards. Now on bore sighting with a laser, I do that first as it does save on ammo usage when zeroing.
I concur. I don’t hunt, a dot in the home is kickass
I got the FPC cause its honestly one of the best home defense options in CA. Since we're limited to 10 rd mags here (at least law abiding citizens are) having 30 on board instead of just 10 is something no other gun here can give you. So for me the in stock mag storage is the biggest feature whereas its kind of whatever to others. I guess another Cali specific pro is that this is the most compact PCC we can get given that it folds. We can't have anything under 16 inches here.
Thanks for taking time to create and post this video.
My pleasure!
Thank you!!! I was ready to take my FPC to a shop or send it to S&W. I was positive it was something I'd done while cleaning but after taking the FPC apart and putting back together 10-15 times was so frustrated. I was stuck on it not cycling but finally did a search for one of the other issue in that a magazine wouldn't seat in place either and hallelujah I found your videos on magazine issue and then this one on trigger resettiing. Fixed my problem. Thanks again, so much!
You're welcome, glad it helped you out and saved you money.
Muzzle brake?
Yes, it works best with a brake per the instructions. I use brakes anyways.
@@hollowpointdefense What brand is the one you're using in the video?
@@carlosdaniels9515 Strike Industries King Comp.
Where do you put the spacer? In the buffer tube? My instructions where not clear
The spacer goes in first, to the back of the buffer tube.
@@hollowpointdefense Ah! Thanks for the info
@@dsgtjordan You’re welcome, anytime.
Who makes the hand guard?
Nordic Components.
What’s the purpose of changing the hand guard?
I prefer metal guards over the plastic.
Which plate and screws for the Holosun??
You would need a Holosun RMR (for a507c or 407c) plate and the Holosun should have the correct screws with it.
Get a muzzle device in the correct caliber? Seriously?
Yes.... There are plenty of new firearms owners that don't know this. It is a simple mistake that can be and does get made.
Push the hammer back not the trigger back. You cock the hammer.
@@davejones67 yep, noted months ago.
Where did you get the stand that you are using in this video?

3:22 WARNING! that little metal piece dropped out while I was cleaning didnt know where it fit until I used deductive reasoning although I thought any word fit I had to watch this video to verify but it falls out really easily so be careful when cleaning a gun as it might fall out quietly and and unknowingly in your situation. Just share my thoughts. To be clear it fits right at 3:37 and it slides under 4:21
Ooooooo, so many questions Can you feel a difference? Is there something better about porting in the middle? Does it run just as good? I’m guessing there was no great flash? I’ve been reading that crap for years, so then I went out and shot my Speer HP pre dawn, and I wasn’t blinded like the Internet said I would be
The difference felt is there, not overly great but it is there. This is ported to where the factory cuts in the slide are at. The Competitor runs just like it did before, other than my dot stays inn the window when shooting, that is the goal I had, nothing else. I was assisting with a SWORN academy class this week on a night shoot and I didn't notice any flash while shooting. I have several ported gun and the flash has NOT been any problem at all for me. Although, I am not shooting any hot loads (+P or +P+), mainly Speer Lawman 124Gr.
@@hollowpointdefense yes, several years ago, I stopped listening to the internet and went out and tested my own self defense Speer ammo predawn, and amazingly, I wasn’t blinded. Super low flash, but I’ve always read that hollow points have higher quality components anyways. At least with a good brands, I’m not sure about Ammo Inc. or shit like that.
Can’t help but think they had the correct assemblies waiting. 🤔
I am sure they did, turn around on mine was quick.
You did not say why you installed it. Does it make it easier to get the mags out? If so, I'll try one.
I just wanted to try it, I don’t store mags in the butt stock. The device I got was NOT better.

I'm unable to eject an unfired round from S&W FPC. Seems to stick in the firing chamber. Some Federal 9mm rounds stick, others do not. Any suggestions appreciated.
I have had that issue too, I use a 1/4" wooden dowel and insert through the muzzle and tap it out. Make sure the gun is in the folded position when doing so.
@@hollowpointdefense Thanks. I will be watching for any further developments as to the cause, be it something like the firing chamber dimensions or variations in the various bullet manufacturers.
@@BrandononIce-sk7fx I am willing to bet, it is all ammo manufacturer issues. Try changing your ammo to a different manufacturer.
I was worried that it would be a pain to strip for cleaning. not anymore ty!
It is really easy, looks worse than it actually is.
Thanks for making a review
You're welcome.
Why would this not work with Response? I’d be interested if they do make one for Response but I know market is not big for it.
I haven't tried to use on the Response. I doubt I will as it really has zero recoil anyways. I am not spending $165 for something that has virtually zero recoil anyways.
Can you tell me what you replaced the plastic handrail/fore end with?
The black FPC I used the Nordic Components hand-guard.
