Thank you for what you do. I'm a new gun owner and I've learned a lot from you.

I find my bolt after going to the range with Federal American Eagle 124gr so black. I used mean green like you, same scotch pad and I have to scrub and scrub to get that face where the firing pin is clean. I spray a ton of that mean green trying to break that carbon down. The channel down the side of the bolt I use pipe cleaners and its hard to get clean. Is the ammo I use really dirty ammo or something. Even when I rub on the face on the scotch pad it takes a lot of work to get that area clean. I'm trying to get it spotless. Am I doing something wrong? I lube it with ballistol when I'm done.

I find it rather easily to clean, never had an issue with carbon deposits. I shoot mainly Speer Lawman, seems to be some what clean for me. I also clean it anytime I use it, weather I shoot 1 round or 300 plus. I don't use anything but Lucas Extreme Duty gun oil when I am done. I smear it on the entire bolt.

@@hollowpointdefense I clean after every time I go to the range, usually the next day. Wonder if its the Federal Ammo because that black stuff sticks everywhere.

Any news on the response? Or did you get rid of it?

Still have it, I will jump over to it this coming week. I actually like the Response better than the FPC.
