S&W FPC Last Round Bolt Hold Open

- This video is just a demonstration of moving your Mac release to either the right or left side to see if it has any impact on the last round and the bolt not holding open.
In short, what I found is, it does not have any impact whether the bolt holds open or closes on the last round.

I have fixed the issue on mine, it took less than 3 seconds to correct it. From start to finish it took about 15 minutes. More tomorrow.
Might have found the reason, stay tuned video coming tonight.
Thank you for your verification. Mine does not work when I switch mag release to the ejection side (right). But it works when I switch back to the left.
Working on a possible solution to this. I will try to find out tomorrow, depending on how things go.

Interesting enough mine stays open every time after the last round and I have 4 mags (NJ 10 rounders). Hope I don't jinx myself with that statement and I have well over a 1000 rounds through it at this point.
Amy the buffer tube spring diagnosis seems quite logical in Johns latest video..good to know but so far no problems with my FPC.
If the bolt hid open fails when you move it from one side to the other, then wouldn’t it make sense it is the problem?
Yes, if that was the case. It was NOT the case on mine. The mag release did not affect the operation at all.
Get a new mag rease, send it back to Smith
I will leave it as it is. Mag release has nothing to do with this on mine at least.
600rnds on my FPC and it holds open every time... all I use is 23rnd mags... I wonder why yours doesn't hold open? WTF wierd
Same 2000 rounds on my FPC with factory 10 round NJ compliant mags🤷♂️🤷♂️
I have over 4000 rounds through it.
His gun has had 40%ish of the original parts changed out with aftermarket. Which is fine, it's his gun...but his "problem videos" do make S&W look bad to those unclear.
@@shaker3459 I haven’t changed 40% of the parts at all. I only changed the hand guard, butt stock mag retention device and buffer plug. No internal receiver parts have been replaced.
My FCP is totally factory. I put a Red Dot on and thats it. I have shot the shit out of this gem with zero headaches.
