Great video man, love seeing the reviews of these budget cans.
You did a great job on the video I absolutely love the 1887 hanging up in the background.
I will get one when we get rid of the NFA.
Unfortunalty, I think you'll be waiting a long time. If you want one just get it now.
@@wesleyroberts7119presently the atf is getting their PP slapped by the state of TX and the 5th circuit
The best thing to do is as many people get these as much as possible because then it can be argued in court. That they are common arms and the Supreme Court will rule in our favor to de restrict them
Nfa will never be repealed. Congress would never actually do anything sensible like that. And the dumb fuc#s in the courts have kept it so long that scotus considers it historical tradition.
Direct and to the point review. Very nice.
The Hello Kitty tape really sets it above the rest. It says, “I wanna be classy, but I am also here to party.”
I have the Mod1 in both 9mm and 5.56 and I don't think I could be more satisfied with the performance. Swapping out the Rearden mount for a Key-Mo on the 5.56 was easy. I agree entirely that these punch well above their weight.
Nice to see you have the Veridian laser. I love that thing!
If you’re looking for a dedicated 300 blk suppressor griffin has their gp7 which is pin and weld capable to make it a one stamp gun. Also I think the Odin works Moab does too. Just putting it out there. Like the Witt mod 1 and I plan on purchasing one soon!
Excited for this
Thank you 😊
Love mine!
These have been on my radar for a bit…
Very interesting.
These new Hux, CAT, and PRI cans completely defy the “more flow through = less suppression”
Yeah. Huxwrx and the likes have figured out flow rates. If you dump all the gas out initially its a blast diffuser. If you hold all of it back its just quiet but annoying because of gas and back pressure.
These used to be the best budget option IMO but now you can get a Rex Solentium, Otter Creek Labs, or YHM for the same price and they have more user data out there.
Morning and Happy 2024
Based video
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it was Curt’s take on the .223 can that lead me to purchasing the 9mm can for my 350 Legend. Could not be happier with performance. However, my gripe about it, because I’m not a machine gun shooter, is the weight. I wish it was lighter. But I also understand the cost would’ve been higher.
We need more suppressed .350 content. WE HAVE VSS AT HOME, AND BETTER.
I don’t live more than 35 mins from Curt. Maybe he could make that happen!
I say 3 lug should be standard. I have no surpressor and no experience but this is the internet and im American so ill give you my take on everything even if i know nothing of the subject...
3 lug works on low pressure rounds but that's it. It requires springs and lubrication, and generally will completely lock up becoming impossible to remove without disassembly if used on anything higher pressure than 45 super.
Wonder if she'll hold up to 8.6 out of the 9mm mod1 can
These cans looked pretty decent. But for the price you can easily get a Rex silentium can for around $300 on sale. And Rex literally has one of the best no BS warrant.
Add another 160-170 to that price for the Rearden mount and adapter so it’ll be a direct comparison
Also Witt has said that even if you fold their can in half and run it over with a truck they'll warranty it. Either way both are durable enough for anything you and I would be doing
If your 300blk SBR is becoming troublesome, maybe you could work out some kind of collaboration with SOTAR, School of the American Rifle, to get the rifle straightened out?
I need that gas block!!!
Random, but what ear pro were you using? They look badass and comfortable.
I just purchased a Thunder Chicken for my Sugar Weasel for $899. The good thing was it came with a free tax stamp so it saved me $200
id like to see a 9mm mod 1 on how it performs with 9mm, 30cal, 556
There are plenty of 9mm cans around the $500 range from a ton of different companies; YHM, GDL, JK Armament, Silencerco, Huxwrx, CGS, etc... I don't know if id consider this one being a "Budget" can, more of a standard priced one.
i highly recommend against using a 9mm can on anything other than a 9mm unless specified by the company
@@222dev That's part of the reason why I worded my response so specifically "Which cans cant shoot which types of 9mm that this can is able to shoot." I have a hard time believing that any of the other cans aren't able to handle every type of 9mm ammo that this can will.
I own one of these, and I was curious how it stacks up against the YMH R9 can? I was in the market for another for my PCC, and wasn't sure to get another Witt or an R9. It seems like the R9 performs better.
I’ve been waiting for 6 months now for the two I bought to clear. One of these days I guess.
Krypton fo LYFE!!!
Does it suppress enough that you could run a few rounds without ear pro?
can u toss the entire can in a bowl of solvent to clean it?
Wonder if they have one for 9mm.
short 30 cal? I'm in heaven...
Do you think suppressors would come down in price if cans were removed from the NFA list and only required a standard 4473 background check, fee of $5-$25, and 3-5 day wait (unless you have a concealed weapons permit, then its same day pickup) instead of a $200 permission slip and 18 month wait on top of extra paperwork
Not initially, there would be a huge spike in demand. However, as that demand settled down a bit and production got ramped up, prices would then fall.
Of course, the entire NFA is unconstitutional, but if we can take it apart one salami slice at a time, I will be very happy.
As much as I want to get one of these they don't have the greatest track record amongst the people of the internet
What laser do you have?
Big question, Witt MOD 1 9mm or Rex MG7 .358 for a 9mm sub gun, but also an AR with a 14.7 and 10.5 barrels.
I have the Mod 1 9mm. I use it on everything from 9mmPCC-12.5 .308. I really think it has a better tone on my 300blk than my SandmanK
What is the shortest length barrel you can put Mount this on without voiding its warranty?
I need one for a 300 black out
I wish witt machine sold the qd muzzle break separately as well so I could get some extras for other guns
Witt doesn’t produce them, like the previous comment said, you order them thru Rearden or any of their dealers.
Thank you for the video. Commenting for the Algorithm. (:
Its this or the yhm, lamar 30... both of those are about 100 more.
Shit my recce 5 mod 4 was pretty budget friendly. I had 10 percent off, but even without , it was just over 600 beans.
Now that flow trough technology has been proven for a couple of years...has it change your stance on "flow trough" cans?
Flow through is louder, has more flash, basically does everything you want in a suppressor worse... but hey less blowback 👍 lol
Does this fall under that “made in Texas” suppressor law? That would be so awesome
@@apollow_g1025 but if I get it from primary arms? That keeps it in Texas 😉
Primary arms isnt gonna do that for you either lol. The ATF would snatch their FFL/SOT and essentially put them out of business. You might as well completely forget the "texas suppressor" law in its entirety. No suppressor worth a shit is sold without form 4 / form 1 paper trail.@@christopherkey3488
That law is not actually ‘in effect’ and probably won’t be for a few more years. The legislation states it has to go through federal appeals first
"neurotic cleaning sense"
Apt.
On Wit's site, suppressors are an MFA item, and you have to pay for a tax stamp, and wait , then you can pick it up at your local FFL.
A long time ago, I watched you guys on this channel take a Glock apart in a very horrible, incorrect manner, the first video I'd seen from you guys. Since then, I'd just ignored your channel, because you'd presented yourselves as possessing significant knowledge, yet completely fucked up the take-down of a Glock, or whatever it was that you did that pissed me off. I very recently saw someone who looked like you on a short who was trying to hype up a "super SEAL killmaster awesomeness AR setup prototype extravaganza buy one now" or something, excitement coming from the dude was like a nerd getting his hands on the latest Warhammer 40K character. And then you show up again with a video about this little gem. Didn't know they came out with a $300 .30cal shorty. Thanks. Maybe I didn't find it because I wasn't as interested in .30cal cans when I found them before, I don't know. And that's a good example of sound comparison, by the way, with the mic so far away. Better for the viewer to imagine the sound with the can on/off. Would be nice to know the distance to use as a benchmark, maybe for more nerdy shit if there's anything around the mic that can bounce the sound around, like a tin tractor shed, or my mom.
Poppy would not approve. Wahoo.
Can this "can" be used with a Trilug barrel?
If you stick to subsonic only yes. Supersonic rifle rounds are too much for trilug
@@KyleSmith-bp2fe Well that's good to know but what I was trying to understand was how/what adapter or whatever is used with a Trilug.... I recently purchased a 16" barrel with a pin/welded Trilug for my Stribog PCC 9mm.....and when you say "subsonic" , you are referring to the heavier/slower bullets like 147 grain for 9mm right?
@@ecobasetech4558 yeah subsonic are rounds that don’t break the sound barrier (less than 1000fps) if it’s 9mm you can use supersonic with trilug fine. You’ll need a trilug adapter/housing for the size of the suppressor you have. What suppressor do you have or looking at?
@@KyleSmith-bp2fe I don't know what suppressor I'll get. It likely won't be for a while. I'm hoping by the time I do, the NFA will have been repealed by then.I know wishful thinking. I was asking about what adapter I'd need for this Witt Machine that is shown in this video or a suitable variant for my Stribog.
@@ecobasetech4558 I think this is a 30 cal suppressor which I don’t recommend putting on a 9mm gun
Made in Childress Texas. Armpit of the west.
Why even waist the money
Every wit machine can is over the safe hearing threshold
It’s like 150 DB it’s genuinly not worth the wait and investment
Tax season is almost here...🤔
If you don’t clean your suppressor, it gets buildup in it, becomes less effective and runs the risk of “grenadine” due to fouling causing the round to strike the baffles. So... if you want an eventual catastrophic failure? By all means... don’t clean it. Or your rifle. It’s the same thing.
Take care of your gear, and it will take care of your target.
@@uptownscenery9175 cool stories and scars 😎.... not stupidity. 🤯 It just wastes money you clearly don’t have because you bought a “budget” suppressor and didn’t spend the time or few bucks to clean it every few hundred rounds. 🤓
I’d rather save a touch more and get a aero lahar 30, those actually sounded better than the ga Recce 7s I have on 300blk and 308s. I get they are a sponsor, but witt machine products never impressed me.
@@Gunoke-fd6bc it’s cheaper and lighter, but how does it compare to the lahar 30? The lahar punches above its price point, compared to my Recce 7 and on third party testing (PewScience)
@@ja0298 I have two AB Warthogs and shot the 5.56 can as well. I did see a comment the other day where someone said they tested the AB Warthog to a Lahar .30 and also against the Q Trash Panda and they felt it was better. Personally, I really like the AB cans, super value for what it does. I have B&T .30 and a Silencer Omega .300 and a Gemtech can on the way and I've shot alot of other cans, but for value/sound I would get a Warthog. I've shot the DDC cans they are really good as well, super quiet, they are made in Pennsylvania. I personally, prefer a smaller can for weight and maneuverability.
@@Gunoke-fd6bc I just got stamps back on my enticer ti-s and ti-l. The absolutely blow the recce 7s I have out of the water. I have yet to try a ab can in person. The design looks very close the the early maxim cans.
Oh brother another .300blk guy😂 goofiest round ever made
7:53 The deal BREAKER,, the however, the but...
Definitely a NO GO.
Good video and sell pitch though.
Free men dont ask for permission
So if we’re not asking permission how to we go about obtaining one without it? I’m pro 2A but I see these comments a lot and it seems to be just oratory
Interesting but based on the comments, the price is average and NOT affordable Lol 😂 I’d imagine that’s the case tho. China can do a can that “works” for little of nothing yet we can’t Lol 😂
I am not trying to be funny, this is a multi caliber can that’s hub threaded is 5 inch’s long and under a pound. But people call them junk, it’s all over the
Forums and Facebook…. And it 499$ the owner took the MOD 1 put it a 375 H&H and said if it fits it ships! What am I missing? Sorry if you read my post earlier…… I made a mistake, I have been researching suppressors for about a month now. Starting to think some this is a gimmick. Someone builds a suppressor that can fire 9mm full auto and 762x39 and 556 with no barrel restrictions and it cost less than 500 dollars and people say it’s junk.
Bend the knee and get on the government list like all the guntubers are.
We're already on a list, man.
It's ultimately up to the individual. You want sound suppression, better recoil control and some gas in your face? Fine. Pay the $200 and wait.
Why judge? No 2A loving American WANTS to comply, but suppression is a great for many reasons.
Besides, I appreciate the guys doing this so the rest of us can make informed decisions.
