    My husband just got another notice for the second time this year. The first time was in April and now one for next month, he's not trying to get out of it, but damn it's annoying! I think if you're not going to be forced to do it you should get paid, it should be voluntary, or they should have the students studying to become lawyers serve for jury duty.

    I'm the most claustrophobic person & have tried 2 head MRI's recently with no luck. The scanner I think I could cope with, as it's open at the bottom. It's the head cage I can't cope with! I can't have people locking my head in a box! I screamed to get me out & just collapsed on the floor, I'll never do it if they keep wanting to lock my head in a box, it's impossible.

      I am the same way, I'm very phobic! I don't use elevators alone as I have been stuck in many of them. Also, no bridges, no tunnels, and no highways as these simply are all things that make me feel trapped. So when it comes to MRIs I refuse to go in them for a while there I was able to do them with no problem. I'm not sure what has gotten to me that I cannot get into a MRI now, I don't even know how I did it before? I was supposed to have a MRI of my brain and I am terrified of having the face piece put over that locks your head into place. I understand they don't want you to move because it blurs the picture but still! Whoever made an MRI machine needs to go back to the drawing board and try to create something that helps people who are like us that cannot do an MRI but may need one. I don't want to do a CT scan because of the radiation. There's got to be a way to make an MRI machine much smaller so you can put your head and will not cause so much anxiety to people.

      @@lindylou9792 I'm exactly the same! Can't use lifts, can't use public toilets unless there's someone with me to get me out if I get stuck! I even sleep walk in hot weather, where I'm dreaming I'm locked in a room. No idea whrre this comes. So MRI's are impossible. My GP said to try, I went, but I knew it would be a miracle. They want my GP to get funding for an open scanner, being larger, but if they're going to keep locking my head in a box then there's no point, I can't do that. They told me the head cage helps the lasers pinpoint the areas on the head, but they don't need it if they're doing other parts, so don't use it on my head! Yes, I agree, something should be made available so that we can all have one, otherwise people like us are just left.

      My dear, please don't be scared, try to practice yoga in your life to calm your mind, I can understand how you feel with a regular visitor there. Also deep breathing also helps to calm down, ask the technical to put your favourite music, and also at some point they showed me a nice cartoon film and I got absorbed in it. As they had a reflective screen and also one time they had a picture of a blue sky with some.clouds on the top and that helped aslo

      @@shantisingh4944 Nothing would help me, once they put the head cage on I feel like head is locked in and I scream to get out. I want them to let me do it without the cage on my head, but they won't, so I can't do it. I can never try it again.

      Hmm.. not sure I've seen one that focuses on the inhale. The basic concept behind most breathwork techniques (even without an assistive device) is generally to prolong exhalation to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. There are some pretty sweet higher-tech biofeedback devices out there though - it's possible one of those measures inhalation.

    Microdosing edibles works for me to avoid anxiety attacks. For newbies: start at 5 mg and wait a few hours to see how it affects you. Never underestimate edibles.

    What helps me is take a long shower ,drink some water,go for a good walk.After that walk i usually feel alot better because i got myself out of that state of constantly overthinking stuff. Seeing things outside can trigger other thoughts and your world doenst feel so small anymore ,just a tip, good luck!

Your neighbor might also have some good news or a funny story that helps you get your mind off things I mean,you wouldnt want to talk to your neighbor when you feel like that,i wouldnt!😂 but the unexpected can be a welcoming suprise during those days.. Oh well, best thing is not to drink to the point where we feel like this the next day i gues 😁 im still learning 😏

    Hi. I've had this dry sticky mouth, gums and cracked lips for a week now. Similar to dehydration but it's not. Mouth and lips constantly dry and cracked despite drinking tonnes of water.. No pain otherwise. Tongue does have a white/yellow fluffy coating on it which doesn't scrub off. . It's super dry and sticky and I'm always needing to sip water every 5 minutes to relieve it. Blood tests all 'normal'. I take no medications. Otherwise I'm physically strong and seemingly healthy diet. I do suffer from bad Health anxiety though esp the last 10 years. And Bruxisn as you mention. Probably sleep Apnea too. But how can anxiety cause this constant dryness over a period of weeks, months, years 24-7-365 day and night? Thanks.

    I remember back in March 2018 that I was cutting onions at work. I had gloves on. I remember the side of the blade "slightly touching" my side of my finger and I thought that I cut myself. So a little afterwards, I checked my finger OCD like, a thousand times or so, just to make sure that i didn't cut my finger. I didn't cut my finger. I remember about 3 years later when I quit that job, I wrote a letter to two crappy bosses regarding the panic incident and that relieved some of the tension. I also have to get rid of my obsession of "HIV/AIDS" because if one person does their research, they'll realize that this sect of science is the biggest medical fraud of all time. You have to do your research. Don't take my word for it. Watch documentaries on CZcams called House of Numbers and Behind The Fear. I realize that fear stands for false evidence appearing real. 6 years later, I'm feeling slightly better but I'm still going through negative thoughts almost on a consistent basis. I've been a hypochondriac since January 2005 because I accidentally touched someone's blood at a bank counter and then I had these thoughts of fear. A decade later, I talked to a medical professional about the incident in 2005 and she told me that, "I'm a fine, healthy young man". I have to keep telling that affirmation to myself. That's why my life feels upside down. January 2005 is the "mother" of my main fear that stripped me of my self worth and self confidence and March 2018 is the "wild child" from that panic attack or whatever that resembles that disorder. I have a crazy habit of over sanitizing surfaces. I already know the truths and horrors of the medical industry btw. That's why I'm staying vigilant. I decided to attack this problem holistically and if that doesn't work, then I'll see a professional.

    How do you know when it’s anxiety vs not being attracted to? I don’t remember having this issue in the past maybe a few times but not like it is with my wife currently I have issues almost every time

      Hmm.. That's a fair question. Is the desire still there for you? I think many people with performance anxiety DO sexually desire their partner, but their anxious thoughts are getting in the way of making things happen. If you're feeling no desire at all, that might be something to work through with a sex therapist or couples counselor. I'm definitely no expert in those things, but I don't think it's uncommon. Relationships change and evolve over time, so eventually they naturally go from being more "passionate" where you can't keep your hands off each other in the honeymoon phase - to a more familial relationship where you're strongly bonded but not necessarily pouncing on each other anymore. I suggest talking to a professional, as well as your wife, about how to spice things up and reignite that passion a bit.

As for the contrast dye, I'm not a medical professional so that would definitely be a question for your doctor! But my assumption would be that (as long as you make sure they are aware it is two days in a row) they wouldn't have you do it if it were unsafe.

    Gonna get a little personal here but I quit smoking about 10 years ago I started having panic attacks after I overdosed on acid mixed with the whole bunch of other stuff i was always smoking all day everyday(i was wild back in my teens) anyway I still have panic attacks all the time. The only thing that helps calm me down is hydroxyzine and tea. I never wanted to stop smoking, but I felt every time I did it triggered a massive panic attack and I couldn’t even enjoy it anymore. 10 years later, I don’t smoke or do anything anymore, I only have a couple drinks very occasionally at social gatherings mostly family gatherings, but other than that completely drug-free, however, my panic attacks have been out of control to the point that they are crippling I guess it’s why they call it crippling anxiety, anyways I’m looking into the possibility of maybe trying smoking again because I hear a bunch of anecdotal stories of people smoking to help their anxiety. After my overdose MJ Affected me very differently I no longer enjoyed it.     I've always had pretty bad anxiety with or without cannabis, but I also tend to get a little paranoid (especially on more energizing cultivar) but it's always been pretty manageable. I've noticed some of the absolute worst cases I've seen have almost always been because they mixed cannabis with other substances like alcohol.

    I had an extreme extreme panic paranoia anxiety attacks non stop for about 2 hours just a few days ago, it's when I started feeling as if I had no control and felt like falling, and tripping heavy on everything, very very unpleasant, I decided to quit, I do have anxiety that's why I smoked in first place
