How Fix Leaks In Basement Concrete Walls
Watched your video. I just bought one 2 was ago. But mine is a salt water system which I am not loving. Is your salt water but you use chlorine instead of salt?
@@mbknoch67 no I do not have a salt water tub I use chlorine.
But all these cameras have buttons on top, you can press them and all your footage and accounts gonna be deleted.
@@Tundra71 That's why I have a separate POE camera system with a hardwired NVR. I use these cameras as alert cameras. I don't use then for footage. If this is your only system however then you need to mount them way out of reach.
I did an egress window myself, the digging was the hardest work. I have concrete block and it was easy to cut with just a masonry blade on a cheap circular saw (doing cuts on both sides). Lots of dust so I used plastic to try to seal in the space and a fan blowing out, but with a respirator it wasn't bad. My costs were just some pressured treated lumber, a couple masonry blades, the new egress window well, some decorative gravel, and the window...a few hundred dollars total.
"Installing a Egress Window" is not correct English. The title to this video should read "Installing an Egress Window".
Great job man, I'm a chick and I totally want to build my own steps on my back brick porch. WELL DONE! How fun do to things yourself and afford it, just watch your back!
Same as any other heat pump/mini split over the last 20 years. Nothing new here....
I do believe they heat better in the cold now than they did 20 years ago however. That's why I think they were really popular in countries like Malaysia, and places in Central America, where they needed cooling but the heat pump was a nice additional feature to have.
Great
Great. Tool
It really goes through a 6 amp battery that fast? If that’s the case, I’ll just stick with my oscillating tool
I guess it really depends if you need it for a big job or not.
@@CrazyRick250 I’m sheet rocking an entire 1400 sq ft house lol. I’m just shocked it drains a 6 amp battery that fast. Considering it takes about 10 seconds to zip around one work box. So if 5 work boxes drains a 6 amp battery that’s only about 60 seconds of use per battery 😳
What kind of saw is that?
Which one? The mansory saw? If so I'm not sure. It's a cold cut saw that's all I know.
Great video!
Why didn’t you lay the top bricks the opposite way?
Didn't see a need for it.
Can it work on a refrigerator
Not even going to try
A guy at Home Depot steered me to Sika Concrete Fix as my construction adhesive for the cinderblocks and pavers. It's sikaflez + polyurethane crack repair sealant. Seems its intended purpose is crack repair and it has high elasticity. Is this the wrong thing to use here? I'm clueless. Thanks for your help, great video!
I am not quiet sure I just used general construction adhesive.
What if there is snow blocking the out swinging window??
I will cover over it plus the eve of the building should keep snow away from it.
Excuse me, I have a question, mine doesn't turn on the fan when I turn it on or is it when it needs to cool down???
It only turns on when you are pulling a heavy load off of it. If it doesn't then you have a problem as the device could overheat and start a fire.
@@CrazyRick250 So the fan only activates when it is hot or before??? I'm bad with English, sorry
@@CrazyRick250 I'm just trying it, I haven't used it hard yet, thanks for answering
Window flashing is so overrated, especially for windows below grade that will rarely if ever see any sort of moisture.
How much is it cost to do one window like that?
Check out the pinned comment to on this video to the answer to your question.
"Unless you've got slopes, you don't really need a self-propelled model" - Dude, I'm 55 and got the self-propelled model because I have a hard time walking from one end of my property to the other. 😂💀
Also, there is no water hose connection because... this is an ELECTRIC mower. There are electronics all up in that thing. The manual clearly says to not get it wet or use a hose to rinse out the grass debris.
@@DarrenNeupert oh I know now it's just a pain to clean.
Any steps should have a nosing.you needn’t cut the slabs but should build for the nosing for proper construction
Why does it need a nosing? Is it just for looks or is it a safety deal?
How well has the blower and batteries held up?
Still holding strong! However I only use the blower a few times a year.
@@CrazyRick250 thanks I just ordered 9ne on Amazon and comes with a second smaller 56volt 2.5 Battery all for $300.
WOW!! Nice vacuum.
Still using it today, still runs like a clock!
I have steps leading up to my house using pavers like these, but I have the issue with steps near the edges wobbling. The blocks themselves don't come off, but I'd like more stability on them nonetheless. What's a good way to keep them together?
Find a type a construction adhesive that's rated for outdoor use, that will fit in any caulk gun. Once you have it, see if you can lift those loose blocks off clean the area and apply the adhesive and press them into place. You may want to put some kind of weight on it to hold it in place overnight while it cures. For best results read the instructions on the adhesive and make sure it fits the scope of your project BEFORE buying it.
May I ask what the cost was?
Good question! The cost to do this back on 10/5/2023 was exactly $4840.00 without tax, and was 5227.20 with tax. I bet it would be slightly higher today with inflation. I got several bids to do this project ranging from $10,000 to as low as $3000. I went with the middle option as cost was not the only factor in my decision.
@@CrazyRick250 thanks
@@CrazyRick250 do you pay taxes on labor in your state? I assume a majority of that cost was for the labor and only a small portion of it was for purchasing an actual good.
@@saidtheblueknight Actually a big chunk of it was taxes.
Always install drain tile for window egresses.
Not always necessary.
Amigo yo compré uno y hace un sonido como manecilla de reloj estando apagado
Are you still on the original pump? Ive heard mixed reviews on the motor going bad prematurely
I have heard that as well, I have also heard of the plastic fan inside the pump snaping off often after 5 years of use. As to your question I have had no issues with the pump currently however last winter was the first winter I did not set it up as I had other priorities.
I've never seen masonry laid on top of dirt and not using a concrete foundation.....
I have many times I would not do a driveway like that thou haha
Where did you buy the windows?
JELD-WEN from Home Depot
@@CrazyRick250 can you give a model number or a link please?
Dude you need a differnet set of sunglasses. Aviators 100% do not look good on ya
Nice Star Trek font.
Nice, should help with radon too, if I'm not mistaken.
Hmm I didn't even think about that nice catch!
Nicely done!
Where did you get the anchors for the floor? I have anchors for the wall portion (1" xmas trees) but those floor ones you used look perfect . I want them. Got a link?

Great job, and great video! I am a landscaper in Philly, we don't get a lot of calls for steps per se but as we do paver projects, we are getting more and more inquiries for steps. Lots of the paver projects are just pavers, no steps onto the pavers. Always good to see how other craftsmen work!

Is this the saltwater tub? The one I have is saltwater- not sure if tablet is safe
I am not aware, I have never put saltwater in it.
Looks good. Well done..better than wood
Great series of tests. It would be interesting to see if the inverter-created alternating 110V output works well on electronics? Was specifically thinking router/wife and other stuff that might be sensitive to the inverter output....
This dude sounds EXACTLY like Patrick Mahomes!
good job
This is sick! Made it all look super easy.
Yea the dudes he hired to do it for him really did a bang up job here
Straight forward footage! Nice job! Thank you for sharing! But you could have done the entire thing by yourself using a grinder with a 5” masonry blade!!!
Notice one room went to DF mode for 1 min not even 30 outside yet. Ill give it another week & see
I own the same one. Only concern I have my set for heat 73 blows good heat for about 5 min then blows cool air? Not cold just cool maybe about 2 min or more then back to high heat? Idk if this a save energy issue or normal?.
It depends sometimes its just blowing the last heated air out from the system before shutting off.
@CrazyRick250 Yeah, I had concerns about the brand new system, They came 2 months after the installation to check it out. They said is normal to blow room temperature air once in a while also the df. Is crazy to me because this is our first source of heat & not great at all lol. But does blows cold ice ac lol
Looking forward to this project. Keep in mind - we all learn to crawl before we learn to walk.
You can put a smaller size battery on that to make it lighter from what I read about it.
Yes 2.5 amp can.
