good design if youre shooting for 10 years for sure. if you could keep the rain from falling on the steps they would probably settle even less; last longer. maybe consider a roof or at least calking the seams. looks nice though. you'll probably get 10 years no matter what. thanks for sharing
TIPS Slope away from the door, not sideways, it looks crooked. Mitre cut the corners. Offset joins. Color choice was just wrong. Cement in your base is good. Cement instead of glue, for easy repairs decades later.
It will continue to shift because you didn’t spend 10 bucks on a couple bags of gravel. You would have been better off skipping the sand, if it was a budget concern.

What degree of some did you use for the drainage away from your home?
I just built it with a slope to run the water off I also have the roof above the steps with gutters on it.
