Throttle, brake and clutch on the handlebar have cables which pull a pedal on a pedal set (Fanatec Clubsport V3) . The button inputs I've wired to the Fanatec Universal Hub. That way I didn't need any additional electronics while having a loadcell based brake with good resistance.

@@MixedRealitySimRacing how did you mount the bars? Do the torques feel like a real bike?

It's a naked bike like handlebar screwed to the universal hub, I just drilled some extra holes in the front plate. Generally the FFB and steering tries to be accurate and gets most fundamentals right like counter steering but there is some jank to it like vibration, oscillations and Sometimes feels a bit too indirect, I think because it's hard to make it act stable and realistic. Generally it's quite hard to use, more difficult than real life, also because of not feeling the balance.

I just enabled it in the game menu with "Rider Lean Tracking" on the first input page

I do have a follow-up question regarding the settings in GP Bikes: In the Simulation tab under "Riding Aids," there are options for: - Automatic Rider F/B Lean - Automatic Rider L/R Lean If I enable "Rider Lean Tracking" in the Input tab as you suggested, should I uncheck these options under Riding Aids to ensure accurate tracking of my body position for rider lean? Or do these settings function independently of the "Rider Lean Tracking" feature? @@DimchanskyLive yes, you should deactivate the help for it to work correctly as the help doesn't work correctly with direct steering, especially the one for front and back tends to lean the wrong way.

However, I've run into a snag with the direct steer mode. I've enabled direct steer mode 2 in my profile with the following settings: [hardcore] directsteer=2 directsteer_maxangle=50 Additionally, I've reduced the sensitivity of my Fanatec steering wheel to 90 degrees to better manage the steering input, but still, I find it extremely challenging to even exit the pit stop with these settings. I’ve come across discussions online indicating that direct steer has become significantly harder to manage in versions of GP Bikes released after beta19a. I am on the latest version of GP Bikes. Have you also experienced increased difficulty with direct steer in recent versions? Are there any specific settings or adjustments you would recommend to make direct steer more manageable? I unfortunately never did a video about the setup, but when clicking on my channel and scrolling down the community section, there is a picture of the handlebar mounted to a Fanatec Universal Hub and wires which control the pedals remotely from the handlebar for throttle, brake and clutch.

It's done in post, recorded both separately and merged it afterwards, while driving I only see what's in-game without wheel

Yes, FPS are very good and stable most of the time. Only on a few not so well optimized stages I've noticed frame drops. I have 5800x3d and 3080ti

Its a DIY handlebar with controls mounted to a Fanatec universal hub. In the community section of my channel is a picture of it, you just need to scroll down a bit to find it. Cables from throttle, brake and clutch are linked to Fanatec pedals.
