    Mixed Reality Tutorial/Explanation: • 💡 Mixed Reality / Gree...
    What is Mixed Reality?
    It´s a way to record and show game play to serve a better understanding of how it feels to use Virtual Reality. It uses a green screen to later blend out the room you are playing in and instead blending in the virtual environment life or in video editing. So it´s only a way to show to the viewers, while playing i can´t see my wheel and real hands. So it´s not like Augmented Reality, which will maybe come in a few years and will look similar.
    If you wan't to support my channel, you can do that by disabling the ad-blocker if you have one or by donating the lowest amount you wan't via this link paypal.me/MixedRealitySR but don't forget to place a little suggestion in the message, I will try to make it happen.
    How you've recorded?
    Real life footage is recorded with a Garmin Virb Ultra 30
    In-game footage is recorded with nVidia Shadowplay and OBS Streamlabs

    What do you think about the new thumbnail? The usual cockpit thumbnail would have been very dark and it was impossible to capture the action so I thought about mixing it in a completely new way, making the real steering wheel and hands even more obvious.

    Really love this kind of mixed reality content, been learning to drift on playground recently and it's so satisfying to watch somebody be so consistent on it. Top job mate.

      Thanks, I struggled a bit to adapt to the others driving styles though. It's a lot easier to be the first car and do your own thing but everyone drifts a bit different, goes for other lines and you need to learn and remember how others approach a corner to properly get next to him. For example I usually go more for the apex and the guys on that server where going more for the outside line which took me a while to understand and adapt to, that's also why I tend to accidentally overtake them on the inside.

    I need mixed reality videos like these. Still, other channels don’t do it like you.

    so is this from a replay or is this how your graphics look while you are playing? specifically the 3rd person shots.
    I have a 1080ti and there is no way I can have my graphics look like this in an online lobby haha
    solo play? yeah & I always have it looking crazy. But online my game would look like a powerpoint lol

      The 3rd person shots are from the replay yes but also while driving I have the graphics relatively high. Using a 2080ti

    Wanting to do some mixed reality content and watched your old tutorial. Very helpful. Just brainstorming though, would it work with a motion rig, or only with motion off? I'm assuming your original setup with the steering axle coming through the curtain wouldn't work too well as the rig would just be tugging the curtain all around.

      You would need motion compensation for VR to still be able to get everything in sync. Should be possible but will probably make it even more difficult

    Looks nice, I've got the same vr and pc setup but I can't seem to dial in my settings... What settings do you use?

    • @MixedRealitySimRacing
      @MixedRealitySimRacing  Před 3 lety +1

      Besides reflections and things like motion blur and other stuff no one really needs I have it pretty much maxed out with most of the shader patch things of content manager active. 90hz and 140% resolution scale I think

    @emidex8721 Před 3 lety

    Yooo I’m pretty sure that there exists a light bulb that can match the darkness in the cockpit so the videos feel cooler

    • @MixedRealitySimRacing
      @MixedRealitySimRacing  Před 3 lety

      The video editing needs good light and contrast to make the greenscreen transparent, all I can do is make it darker during editing

      I have only these ones. Performance was not great, that's why I don't record much
