What is Mixed Reality?
It´s a way to record and show game play to serve a better understanding of how it feels to use Virtual Reality. It uses a green screen to later blend out the room you are playing in and instead blending in the virtual environment life or in video editing. So it´s only a way to show to the viewers, while playing i can´t see my wheel and real hands. So it´s not like Augmented Reality, which will maybe come in a few years and will look similar.
If you wan't to support my channel, you can do that by disabling the ad-blocker if you have one or by donating the lowest amount you wan't via this link paypal.me/MixedRealitySR but don't forget to place a little suggestion in the message, I will try to make it happen.
How you've recorded?
Real life footage is recorded with a Garmin Virb Ultra 30
In-game footage is recorded with OBS Streamlabs
My specs:
Fanatec Podium DD2
Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel Porsche GT3-R
Fanatec Advanced Paddle Module
Fanatec Clubsport Shifter SQ
Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V3
Fanatec Clubsport Handbrake
Sim-Lab Cockpit
Valve Index VR Headset
AMD Ryzen 3900x
Nvidia RTX 2080ti - Hry
That, was some fine driving.
Thanks!
This track is crazy without VR so I can imagine with 😳😬
Its so much easier in VR
Yeah it's more intense in VR but also easier because you have depth perception and can look around the hairpins better
So good!!! What headset are you using these days?
I'm using the valve index since about a year. It's a great headset to use and I'm very happy with it but recording was a bit easier and straight forward with the Oculus before. The angled lenses of the index make the view tilted to the side which adds fov while in the headset but looks a bit weard when recording and I have more alignment and distortion issues to deal with.
To quote that "semi-famous" line from the original animated movie, SHREK :- "That's a nice Boulder", hahahaha --- and a great video to boot, Marcel. [;]-)
At least I don't have donkey in the back asking constantly when we arrive 😂
Awesome, and great driving!👌
Thank you!
Dude no joke 1 week ago i tried this stage and had to restart 13 times before finally finishing it lol
:-D I restarted a couple of times as well when I was in a situation which broke the flow of the video.
How can you be that fast on a rally stage with a rally car and this big steering wheel?
Great stage man!
Thanks, I think 320mm is pretty standard for a rally wheel?!
so cool! how do you think dirt 2.0 compares to dirt (1.0) physics wise?
It improved quite well. Tarmac is still not perfect but better than before. One thing I still don't like is the feeling around the center, it's quite vague and uninformative but then gets nicer the more you are on the limit at least
Is it possible to capture both eyes in OBS and then compose both videos into a single wide-screen video?
With the right camera(s) theoretically yes
@@MixedRealitySimRacing Sorry about the bad wording. I didn't mean with actual cameras but the OBS software (reworded the original comment). Aren't all of your VR videos showing OBS captures of left eye gameplay only?
@@prltqdf9 i use shadow play most of the time and sometimes OBS. Yes it's always only the left eye, blending both together generally works and increases fov but as both perspectives are separated it creates an obvious offset which doesn't look nice
Titans? What is he talking about? I don't see any titans :)
LOL
