Love Powers Gold label It is my Everday whiskey. However, I am a little confused as the label on mine claims 43.2 proof. If I remember, correctly, they increased it to that a number of years ago. and while they raised the price...it is an improvement. Possibly, Ireland's didn't change???
Respect for the irish people. You have a great product.
Have you tried the Slane Extra Sherry Wood? 45%
Sorry to bother you mate, but I think this whiskey tastes like scotch whiskey which I don't like. Irish whiskey is usually my favourite because it is so clean and doesn't have the scotch after taste. Could you possibly tell me what it is about this whiskey, that makes me taste scotch?
I wish I could get this in the states. I love black barrel. The 100 proof would just be amazing
Bulleit is a tad too spicy / peppery for my tastes, probably wont be buying another bottle any time soon. I like smooth bourbons more.
Juicy Fruit gum. Loads of it. It’s a very friendly, easy-sipper. Good value.
Just picked one up for St. Patrick day. I love powers gold.
Outstanding!!
Love this Irish Whiskey!! Fabulous video!! Thanks so much!!
I’m not sure if this guys still going given the frequency of his posts but I’m just starting to explore Irish more and he has a great personable style, lots of great research and info. Exactly what I look for in a whisky tuber. Hope he pick its back up again.
Would you consider doing a review of The Sexton Irish Whiskey please? I really would love to hear your opinion of The Sexton!
Just got back from a trip to Dublin. Powers was my favorite Irish whiskey. Brought a bottle home. Great stuff.
How does it compare to Redbreast 12?
10 year plus aged el dorado rum tastes very good, tastes better than capt morgan rum
My go to whiskey !! It’s fabulous
Great review. I got a bottle of the Luna 1.1 way over here in Gibsons, British Columbia. It's the most I've paid for a whiskey, and I really like it.
Sorry to say how ang bhi kab lmdvmm.
its smooth and buttery. First time drinking it and I am very impressed. It is cheap and commonly available. I am new to whisky but this is the first one I really liked. Vanilla, butter and that's about it. It isn't complex but a fine choice.
Jameson was probably the first decent whiskey I recall enjoying many years ago. I've long since moved on and expanded my taste but I always keep a bottle of Jameson on the shelf. Its not top shelf Irish by any means but it's a nice easy drinker to have on hand. One thing though, $20 a bottle US is long gone, it's around $30 now.
More videos please 👍
Hi John, which whiskey is nicer jameson black barrel proof or redbreast 15 . Thanks
The Redbreast 15 is more interesting, but almost twice the price here in Ireland!
My favorite sipper on a spring day hear in Vegas
I agree with your opinion 👍
You can't go wrong with a good old bottle of Jameson for an every day dram. Inexpensive, smooth, more than good enough to drink neat/on the rocks and great tasting for the price. For an affordable every day whisk(e)y that can be sipped, my go to is either Jameson or Johnnie Black. However, recently I found Bushmills 10 year single malt on offer at £25, so I thought I'd see what all the fuss is about... honestly... give me a dram of Jameson anyday; it's just so smooth and easy to drink. The best tasting whisk(e)y's are those that taste best to you, and although it's slighly off subject I'd take a bottle of Johnnie Green or Gold over a most single malt scotch of a similar price any day. Again, The best tasting whisk(e)y's are those that taste best to you. Thanks for your review; I really enjoyed watching.
Love sipping tequila from the tuath.
Are you saying leather?
John I know you've been busy but I'd love to know what you think of the Johns Lane Cask Strength

Welcome back!
Happy belated birthday! Just came across this channel. Your explanations are impeccable.
I’m glad I searched on Powers review as it led me to your channel. Excellent review channel. I’ll be checking you out from here on. Thanks for the great vids. From an American Irishman, Grant McNerney… sláinte
Cheers
Have a bunch of Kentucky Bourbons you should try… I’m a Kentucky Native and worked at Churchill Downs for a few years in the beverage department… a Bourbon and whiskey connoisseur… would love to have some conversations with you.. always loved Irish whiskey as well.
Enjoyed this video. I tried this whiskey several times on a recent trip to Ireland and picked up a bottle at the Dublin duty free on the way home. I agree with your assessment. I enjoy it very much.
Hi mate from Australia first time watching your reviews, I enjoy when people like yourself put words to the smells and tastes that I can’t, just bought a bottle (65aud)and opened it while you were reviewing. I agree nice notes from the sherry barrel, a great drop at a great price Cheers. I also bought a bottle of Loch Lomond 18 on to it now. Be well take care.
Amazing video. Thanks for the info.
$400 in Illinois
😲
bought a bottle of the three swallows today, loved it
Dead channel. Rest in peace
Super happy I bought this at the duty free in Dublin air port, definitely very enjoyable flavour profile
Awesome review! Love your style and concise information!
I should've picked this up when I had the chance, especially since it's seventy percent Potstill. My only consolation is that, as an American, finding rye whiskey is no problem.
I hope you are not gone for good. How about a brief update on what you have been doing and when you will be producing videos again.
I'm not gone for good, I'm just so busy with work I haven't had a minute to make any content
The Garda is looking for you again.
Great review, and great info about the Midleton influence on the definition of "single pot still". That 's good to know! Thanks, from Gibsons, B.C., Canada.
i might pick up a bottle of it it is on sale for 26 euro thanks
hi would you recommend this whiskey
One of my favorites when I drink Irish, but I have to say I’m more partial to Redbrest or Knappogue. With that said, they are substantially more expensive.

A 12 year old, 92 proof whiskey for $60 in my neck of the woods. Great bang for your buck and it’s delicious to boot. Cheers! 😋
