I encountered a bug lol: Place a vending machine clipped inside of the player in a base. It will clip you out of the base. Compatible with the cyclops storage room, although you have to move forwards whilst placing to launch yourself

i hope they make it as terrifying as possible. with more things like tsunamis and giant whirlpools and bigger more terrifying creatures so my little thalassophobic ass can shlt itself all over again like in the first one but worse.

I’ma be real for a sec. The first three concepts have WAY too much going on. One of the reasons Below Zero flopped in comparison to its predecessors was because it didn’t have that balanced mix between emptiness and beauty. The rotnest is a cool idea, but it has so much going on that it would feel more like a new natural selection game than subnautica. Those catacombs have potential, but kinda already seem to be like the lost river, just with more annoying traps, and the magnetic fields involve too many unique item requirements for one biome.

I once had a bug where i didnt lose O2 in my freedom world on ps4 and i didnt know what to really do but i feel like it was somewhat helpful :)

I found the cuttlefish egg that's under the giant mushroom tree. I didn't know how to hatch it so I used a knife to try to get open the egg to see if it would come out, and that is when it died, its eyes falling out of its body with the egg remaining on my base's foundation. I'm so stupid. 🤣🤣

I feel like we will still play on the same planet again for the 3rd game. It might take place on both 4546B and the new planet and likely connect them with a portal. It might mostly take place on 4546B with story focused segments on the other planet.

Maybe Marguerit just never got infected. I always wondered how the volcanic crater of less than 5km had all of the necessary biomes to trigger sea emperor eggs to hatch. I don't think this was just dumb luck. Mama Emperor seemed to know about the Khaara bacterium, and even hinted at understanding what microbes are. She may have cultivated the oasis of diverse life herself, like a little garden for her to spawn in. Before she was detained by the precursors, she intentionally selected healthy organisms that all served a purpose in the niche she was building. This included peepers to inoculate the population. It's of note that you don't see any infected fish at the beginning of the game, and it takes some time for the infection to start ramping up. Once it's unleashed it goes out of control very quickly. This tells me the infection hadn't kicked off yet. The infection simply hadn't reached the Emperor's garden before Marguerit floated away.

I don’t know all these biomes except for the last one sounds like there would be frequent interactions and making the whole terror vibe go away it’s not completely a bad thing, but it’s also worth noting that hostile creatures you should have interactions with them, but not frequent I like the ideas, though it’s almost as if I forgot that I was listening to you talk about what it could look like, and I thought that it was like 👍
