Scaring My Friend with the GARGANTUAN LEVIATHAN in VR! | Subnautica

- A little over a year ago, my friend HighWay starred in one of my videos where I scared him with some of Subnautica’s scariest biomes and the terrifying creatures that call them home. But the other day, I had an amazing idea. What if we scared him again only this time with arguably the most terrifying Subnautica mod: the Gargantuan Leviathan mod? Since last time, HighWay also purchased a VR headset, so he’ll also be doing this in VR! This is his first time ever experiencing this mod, so ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be hilarious…

This mod is currently unreleased so there is no way to download it for the time being. When it is finished, it will be available for free. Right now, it is only available to select CZcamsrs like Aci, Anthomnia, IGP, and The Last Bacon. In other words, you can't get it yet.

how did you get the mod?
VR makes all the creatures look bigger...but that's because you're seeing them in proper perspective compared to the not-so-good perspective in non-VR subnautica. You're seeing things as you'd see them if you were actually there.

I’m pretty sure the issue is the normal POV makes creatures look small so they adjusted the sizes to be bigger

There's nothing more terryfying that seeing a reaper get suddenly devoured by a larger and more dangerous beast

I saw a comment once and I can't quit thinking about it. They noted the gargantuan leviathan has eyes on the SIDES of it's head. A trait common in PREY animals. .... What in the world makes prey of a garg?! How true that is idk im not exactly a biologist or anything. But it's something that makes me stop and think
That's only really a trait with land animals. Think apex predators in the ocean like Orca's and sharks and neither have forward facing eyes. @@Guardian-of-Light137

I love how he's freaking out and somehow having a good time despite that.
It's a good terrifying game that the horror is mostly in you're head and when u compare that to watching any horror movie it tops them by a long shot so it's actually fun getting some scary entertainment

As a person with thallassophobia, Subnautica is one of my favorite games. And I totally feel that whole "oh that's cool" while also "AAAA"
What I love about the Garg is that it in lore uses it's bioluminescense to confuse prey, as well it being an ambush predator capable of hiding well!
This is perfectly showcased at 6:45 onwards!

but in vr it is incredibly terrorfying
and it also solves the perspective problem with subnautica , where big things dont appear to be as big as they actually are

I am terrified of large bodies of open water.....but for some reason I can't stop playing this game. I'm a big horror genre fan so I think in some way it's the most psychologically challenging game I've ever played. Running through below zero next!
well apparently that one takes an enormous amount of run time on land actually. so it wont be as bad for the body of water thing. apparently its not well received and they kind of ruin what the first game had going for it. ALso a voiced character gets kind of cringe the way it was handled. So dont expect too much.
