It's a good question, Jocelyn. While I cannot say definitively because I don't have experience with that specific machine, my suspicion is that most of these movements would be very challenging (and potentially unsafe) to perform on an oscillating platform.

Good question! I was very interested in this myself going into this conversation. My clinical experience matches up with what Dr. Yunis said - once a hernia has occurred, the only way to fix it completely, is with surgery.
Hello, thanks for this great video. I've had shoulder impingement pain for years. Even if i rest completely, and the pain is gone, it comes back very quickly when i start doing pushes again. That's why I don't dare to do them anymore, even if I'm not in pain. If i do the exercises you suggest, when will i know I'm "good to go" to start doing pushes again?
how often do you recommend doing these exercises?
The weekly volume will vary from one individual to the next. A good rule of thumb is to find a volume that creates an increase in functionality without causing any fatigue or soreness afterwards.

Give the info & all the pageantry later (allowing rhe audience to decide if they even WANT the excess). We can eat vegetables because they're good for us without a dissertation on botany.

I damaged my shoulder several years ago by overdoing weights wrongly and martial arts, these exercises are excellent and I feel like I'm getting somewhere, I know my posture isn't right, is there more I can do to get shoulders strong please so I can hopefully return to martial arts

Does cortisol play a role in chronic pain? What test is used to measure cortisol levels?
Cortisol and pain can be related, but not directly. Cortisol is secreted during times of stress and pain is often highly stressful - so elevated cortisol levels are often seen with pain. Cortisol can be measured using blood, urine or saliva testing.

Nice reviews, but I’ve tried wearing flat sandals and flat shoes and so forth and they always hurt no matter what training or chiropractic or osteoporosis treatments . I still need arch support and I’ve always had a very high arches, narrow and very long, thin feet. Super hard to find anything that fits and then the ones just make it even worse. That’s unfortunate. I would love to wear one of those sandals.
Excellent point, Lisa! While appropriate for most people, minimalist footwear is not right for every foot type. And a rigid foot with high arches is one such case.

When you perform that final exercise, do you try to keep your back spread wide as possible when your arm rotate behind your back? Or do you allow your back to shrug together and collapse? For these videos it helps if you take your shirt off so we can see the muscles that are engaging.
This is the smartest video I’ve ever seen about plantar fasciitis and the root cause of it! I had a feeling my foot pain was due to my forward head posture, and it’s nice to know that someone has actually verified that for me! Treatment times will vary depending on the power output of the device your using and the distance of the target tissue from the device. Typically with skin treatments, the device is farther from the body/face so times are little longer. This study on acne therapy used 15 min treatment times - pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20166163/
If I can't perform some of these, could I start with a dowel or isometric IR/ER on a doorframe as. passive exercise and then progress myself to d these 3? or should I just do these and modify them to ultimately do them just the way you are doing them? Thank you for posting!
A good rule of thumb is to modify as needed to make the movements more workable for you. Throw out anything that's not a good fit.
My impingement is in the right shoulder. When I do the second exercise, there is a pulling, painful sensation on my left side from the top of my neck to the shoulder. I've had that for over 10 years. Do you know what that is? Thanks!

1st and second exercises ave very good for me however with 3.5 decades of lifting and TIGHT scapula getting arm overhead is not possible at the moment (3rd exercise)! Thanks for this tutorial!

Do any of these shoes help with flat feet? Im 33 years old, and my foot pain has gotten worse. I've noticed all 3 of my kids feet seem to be flat or have collapsed arch. My oldest is 8 and he does complain that his feet hurt. I usually buy him sketchers or puma. I think he would need something more beneficial?

I started this pain about a couple of months back. My sleeping pattern has changed, i sleep on my sides since covid as it had affected my lungs and easy breathing was either in prone position or sideways. That was in 2022. I now start getting the shoulder pain. Also i have to carry my laptop (15.6") which has further aggravated the pain, probably. Doc has just adviced ice pack and some paracetamol which reduces the pain for a few hours only. Rest for a week and thereafter he would advice some ecercises. Does this comply with the treatment? I think some exercises would surely help.
Hard to offer specific advice without more information. But I'm glad to hear your doctor plans on moving to a more active rehab approach quickly.
