    Love, love, love your clear and easily understandable videos, Dr. Whitten. At the end of this video you mention a link to a seat wedge in the comments below. I can't find it. Can you please resend? Thank you.

    I have a Wobble Chair that I love and use when on the computer. Is the chair as effective as the wedge you recommend?
    Thanks for all you do.

      Wobble chairs definitely have some benefits. I go over several in this video: czcams.com/video/lTOVNzxhuig/video.html

    Most people o not have a massage table in their home. Beds are too soft. Also it is too difficult to get on floor with bad knees and back pain!

    • @painfixprotocol
      @painfixprotocol  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Depending on the size of the person, (and the firmness of the mattress) a bed may work. Otherwise, I've had patients use a sturdy bench or coffee table with a little padding on top.

    I started seeing an osteopath to help with what I thought was sciatica. He told me I actually had scoliosis which was affecting the sciatic nerve. Anyway, after many visits I got some relief but will need to keep going of course to maintain that level of comfort which is rather costly. Any additional advice you could give? Tia

      It's great that the doctor has been able to help you during your visits. The next evolution in that process is for him/her to teach you how to help yourself outside of the clinic.

    Question - read on other red therapy companies that it can improve bone density? Do you agree? Also why do you recommend this product over a red therapy mat? Thank you

    • @painfixprotocol

      There is some interesting research on that topic. Here's a couple resources:

    You mentioned the studies participants had wearable red light devices. Do you have a recommendation for that?

    • @painfixprotocol
      @painfixprotocol  Před 3 měsíci

      Unfortunately, I do not. The units used in that study were prototypes. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them anyway. Wearable units all have the same problem - they all rely on batteries for their power supply. And battery technology at present cannot compete with machines that plug into the wall. This was evidenced in that study with treatment times of 8-10 hours. In contrast, the high powered units in the second study had treatment times lasting just a few minutes.

    I'm just back to work after 3 months off with a disc extrusion. It should be dehydrated back in place now but the neurosurgeon (he just waited and I didn't need surgery) said it could be a year and half for the nerve damage to recover. My lower back still spasms. I'm wondering if the far infra red light would help this.

    • @painfixprotocol
      @painfixprotocol  Před 3 měsíci

      It's very possible. Mulitple studies have demonstrated that light therapy can improve nerve regeneration. Here are a couple references:

    You mentioned 800-830nm, but these devices say 850nm. Is that an issue?

    • @painfixprotocol
      @painfixprotocol  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Good question! It's no issue whatsoever. Near infrared light includes wavelengths from 800 to 2,500nm. Most of the research uses 830-850nm.

    Don’t see the link for the red light therapy wearable device either!

    • @painfixprotocol
      @painfixprotocol  Před 3 měsíci

      Right now there are no wearable light therapy devices that I recommend. All the options I've tested require very long treatment times to make up for the inadequate power supplied by small portable batteries.

  • @elizabethdavis7105
    @elizabethdavis7105 Před 4 měsíci

    Probably can't afford it anyway, but don't see the link to the red light therapy wearable device. Not sure my disc is bulging - MRI seems to say narrowing of the spinal column. Yes, balance issues and leg weakness and pain. Elizabeth
