The last few months I was having bad pains in left shoulder. Thought it was RTC tear this whole time.
I was "hanging" which helped, however, today I tried these exercises. I can't believe how much it helped like 1000% just the first time while in gym. Something opened up and feels like the "impingement" was subdued or minimized and I went thru my workout feeling great with little to no pain.
THANK YOU FOR THESE EXERCISES!!
That is AWESOME!!!
I'm so happy this content helped you out!

I echo what other people wrote. I had been dealing with a shoulder with limited movement for the past month. Upon doing your exercises, I experienced a 90% immediate improvement. I also appreciate the knowledge regarding my posture as I think this might have caused the issue in the first place. Hope your work can reach more and more people that may be in need (and in pain) around the globe. Thank you.

Yes please Dr Yoni - your digital family member would love to see more shoulder pain relief exercises. I have been in shoulder pain for at least 7 years. I know my left shoulder is in a rounded forward position which causes poor alignment when walking resulting in chronic shoulder, upper Thoracic, low back pain and sacrum pain pain. I do have your head l lb weight which I am working on to bring head back. I am truly, truly grateful for all you do for your Digital family and I will be incorporating your shoulder workout to help me “get out of Pain”. Laura in Toronto

Thank you sooo much! Your video and one other helped me out so much! After months of being in pain I found you and did the exercises and tips over the course of a few weeks (some exercises more than others a few days per week) and my pain is 100% gone.
This is awesome, Ginger! Thank you for sharing! I absolutely love hearing stories like this - you made my day!
Thank you for the insightful and enjoyable video on Shoulder Impingement! I've personally experienced this issue before, unknowingly overworking my shoulder during a project involving painting, wall sanding, and heavy lifting. Initially, I disregarded the mild discomfort, trying to soldier on with my other arm (which turned out to be a big mistake). However, the pain escalated drastically by the second day, making any movement unbearable. Upon consulting a doctor, I was diagnosed with medium to severe inflammation in my neck, trap, and rear shoulder areas, necessitating painkillers and cortisone injections. I subsequently dealt with intermittent inner-joint discomfort, fearing it might be a permanent issue.
I'm now visiting Dr. Yoni's stretching advice and revisiting other resources to share simple steps with my mom until I can assist her personally. Since incorporating shoulder, lats, chest, and back stretches into my life routine, my shoulder issues have thankfully vanished. Additionally, using a handgun massage tool and various stretching techniques using the floor, wall, and door frame has significantly improved my range of motion. I've come to understand the importance of full-body stretching and maintaining an overall range of motion, particularly for those who work out, as tight muscles and restricted mobility can lead to such problems. Thank you again for the invaluable insights, and I wish everyone a swift recovery!

Thank you very much..
Happy to help!
Wow really helpful
I'm so glad!
Thank you. I can feel a difference in pain from just following you through the video as you did it. I have been miserable for 2 weeks. I’m hoping these exercises will help. The band is helping my hurt shoulder be able to complete the rotations. My healthy shoulder is able to pull up the injured while using it. I can see how the simple use of a band makes so much sense. How it aided the hurt shoulder gave me an aha moment.
You're welcome. I'm so glad this video provided an "aha" moment for you!
Absolutely this is my biggest problem. Can’t sleep on my shoulder can’t move as much as I want. But I will start working today. Let see the results come up.
Hope it's helpful for you!
How it working out for you?
Thank you! Bless you! I haven't been able to do half of the shoulder exercises due to shoulder pain. I thought it was arthritis and that it's just the way things are now. Then I did this routine and two days later the pain is all but negligible!
That's wonderful, Rome! So glad this was helpful for you!
Couldn’t move my right arm forward or to the side at all without excruciating pain, the first exercise helped tremendously after 2 days. At 3 days I’m 80% better, thank you so much for this!!
Glad it helped!
@@painfixprotocol At the time I didn't know if I had shoulder impingement or a torn rotator cuff, I tried exercises in many videos for both. Since this exercise was so affective, I would assume I had impingement and not a torn cuff? Do these exercises not work for torn rotator cuffs as well? Thanks so much again!
Thankyou sir.
Happy to help 😊
2:47 I have a question about the first exercise. It’s hard to tell, but are you keeping your arms close to your sides as you lift up and reach back or are you stretching the band apart as you are lifting up?
Thank you so much for this video. I am about to go through all of your neck and shoulder videos. I am determined to be pain-free. 😊❤🙏🏽
I'm a dental hygienist.. I am so excited to implement these exercises/stretches!!
I hope they're very helpful for you!
Wow... Thanks.
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it!
Just what I needed - I’ve been struggling with my left shoulder. I can still lift upwards but anything out to the side is so painful😩 I’ll definitely start these exercises - THANK YOU!🙏🏼
I hope one or two of these can help speed your recovery!
@@painfixprotocol Thanks for the reply!🥹🙏🏼
Gobsmacked! you summarised everything that was wrong with me in the first minute or so. I have been telling my Doctors that I thought a lot of the problem was caused by poor body posture. I am elderly, worked in a stooped position for years over a computer, have rounded shoulders with a forward head position and a lack of strength in my upper arms and shoulders. I am diabetic so my tendons are not in best shape anyway. Not one of these exercises has been mentioned to me. I have had this for over 6 months and have difficulty sleeping so I shall definately try these for a couple of months 😀and report back. Thank You
I'm so glad this video was helpful for you, Noel!
I hope this information helps you to move with greater ease.
Hows it going ?
1st and second exercises ave very good for me however with 3.5 decades of lifting and TIGHT scapula getting arm overhead is not possible at the moment (3rd exercise)! Thanks for this tutorial!
You're most welcome!
Great information, Yoni. I underwent physical therapy for my shoulders a few years ago, but it didn't seem to effect much. Even after only one round of your exercises, judging solely on how it impacted my shoulders, it appears that your therapy will be more effective. Thank you, sir.
That's fantastic! I'm so glad this video is helpful!
Thank you so much! I’ve been dealing with shoulder pain for a year and gave up even going to PT 😭 I had no idea that it wasn’t normal to stand with the back of my hands facing front. I know I have bad posture and have been sitting in a reclined position in bed a lot because I got used to it after an abdominal surgery.
So glad this video was helpful for you, Robyn! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Ive had shoulder impingement for the last 5 months .due to being on crutches after a knee replacement .ive had physio .a course of celebrex .and a steroid injection. The only thing this all did was to get rid of the stabbing pains .then i saw this and decided to give it a go i could only do the first 2 but could feel an immediate difference !! I could lift my arm !! Its achy this morning but i will be continuing with this .maybe in time i willbe able to do the 3rd one thankyou for this🎉😄
This is great news! 🙌 I'm so glad this video was helpful for you!!!
You Good Sir are a LEGEND!
A CT Scan confirms I am in need of some "shoulder reconstruction surgery" and in a reasonable amount of constant shoulder pain. Just moving very slowly I felt a little pain relief. Thank You
Cheers, Spike! I'm so glad this was helpful for you!
I have been suffering sholder pain for more than a week and it kills me, I couldn't do anything and despite the pain I kept going to gym, since Saturday watched many videos and did many exercises and i feel much better. I admit that your exercise helped me too thank you. ❤
I'm so glad you're feeling better and that this video was helpful you!
The fact that Bob and Brad physical therapists have 5 million followers yet sound like 2 drunk guys and this channel only had 50 thousand followers shows that most people have their heads in the sand. This guy gets straight to the point and doesn't overcomplicate matters.
Those guys I'm sure have good knowledge but honestly never been helped by them, not a fan lol
This is the most helpful tutorial I’ve seen. Provided immediate relief of pain from impingement in both of my shoulders after the first set. The pain did return later in the day. Hopefully the relief will be long lasting over the next few weeks as I continue to perform these exercises consistently. Question I have is how many times a day should this routine be performed?
So glad it was helpful! The number of times per day will vary from one individual to the next. But I would typically start with with 1x/day and slowly increase to twice or even three times a day - as long as there is functional improvement and no soreness (from the exercises).
Thankyou for these videos. I have had pain in my upper arm, neck, for a few months. Like you mentioned, I can’t sleep on that arm. I also feel a small knot on the bicep area. I will be doing these today.
You're welcome! I hope it helps!
I feel the Same knot in the bicep with extreme pain . Did these exercises relieve your pain ?
External shhoulder rotation has been a weak point of mine for ages. Its best to address it while you are still young as its a real pain to fix when you are old lol. Widening the grip width on the shoulder roll exercise brings the band closer to the back of my head to the point where i risk scalping myself :)
You're absolutely right, John. As the saying goes "An ounce of prevention..." Careful with that grip though, scalping is not necessary to get good results 😄
Very much appreciate this video I did daily for 4 weeks, now doing them about 3 times a week to maintain. God bless you sir.
That's great, sdf! I'm so glad this has been helpful for you!
presently, I cannot do the third exercise at all! Ill do the first two and work my way up, thank you
You're most welcome, Glenndalf!

You're most welcome, Harley! These are the bands I use: amzn.to/4dHwqcR

Thank you for the many well explained healing videos you make for us. My impingement occurs when my arm moves behind me, as in the 1st exercise. I do the 1st with a set up aiming for no discomfort. Thoughts on where the shoulder weakness might be. Cheers.
Thanks for your kind words, Alison! Pain with reaching behind you is very common with shoulder impingement. Unfortunately, without an examination it's difficult to say exactly which structure are affected. However, skipping that 1st movement may be a better option for you.
Even if you dont suffer from shoulder impingement, these are also great warm-up exercises before working out with weights.
Absolutely right, Nexus!
Hello, thanks for this great video.
I've had shoulder impingement pain for years. Even if i rest completely, and the pain is gone, it comes back very quickly when i start doing pushes again. That's why I don't dare to do them anymore, even if I'm not in pain.
If i do the exercises you suggest, when will i know I'm "good to go" to start doing pushes again?
If there's a different shoulder problem that you'd like to see a video about, please leave your suggestion in the comments below. Thanks for watching!
I've had shoulder issues for many years. It comes and goes. The inflammation of the shoulder prevents me from having full mobility and I'm only 41 yrs old. Also, my neck gets tensed and I often feel I have to crack it. (Right shoulder). This video helped quite a bit. Any other stretches or suggestions for me? Thank you very much in advance!
@@andylaz.83 you might not have a different problem than the one already addressed here.. but check with a doctor to make it clear, what type of problem you might have; also look for general exercises for correction of posture and recovering from shoulder impingement, either here or from other creators on the topic, or other trainers outside the yt realm. one name comes to my mind : "Precision movement" channel, might already be in the related videos here..
i had a similar need after injuring my shoulder in my mid 30's (i am 41 as well), i tried those kind of exercises in addition to isometric hanging (activating back, lats.. not necessarily turning it into pull ups movement), you can go gradual at it (not full weight directly), you can start at an accessible angle (helped by you feet), according to how bad is your current state. whatever you try, start with lowest intensity, so you "catch" yourself before doing harm with some weird angle of action...

Thank you for this video. I think this is my problem so I'm going to try these exercises for a couple months as you suggest. However, if you happen to read this, can you please let me know if the following description of my particular issue sounds like this video does indeed apply to it?
My issue: If I throw something small very hard with my right hand, my right shoulder will hurt immediately and it will take several days to return to "normal". The same pain can be caused by doing certain repetitive motions for 20+ minutes with my right hand (sanding wood by hand or playing the electric guitar). When it's in a "normal" state, certain movements are still uncomfortable and can cause a grinding/popping feel/sound. The movement that causes the grinding/popping starts with my right hand in front of my sternum, elbow raised to be parallel with the floor, and with my thumb pointing at my sternum. Then if I raise my elbow up and slighly to the right (my thumb changes from parallel to the ground to pointing down a bit), the pain/grinding/popping occurs. The other scenario that causes pain but not grinding is if my hand is at my side with palm facing out and I raise my arm straight out in front of me. This only happens if there is resistance as I raise my arm.
Hard to say for certain without an examination. These symptoms could be caused by several different things.
AC joint and Labrum tear rehab without surgery would be great Doc!
Good suggestions! Thanks ABPK!
