on a rotating object, the axis will be at the center of mass, which won't necessarily be the geometric center where the hub is. the center of mass will be between the hub and heavy part of the tire. the tire will try and rotate around that point instead of the hub. so it will push against the hub via the steering and/or suspension to rotate around it's center of mass as much as mechanically possible. the counter effect is that the light side of the tire, travels in a larger circle than the heavy side of the tire. and the beads just accumulate in the point farthest away from the center axis. it only takes a few seconds for the beads to pull the center of mass back to the geometric center at the hub. this technique works exceeding well with 0 offset wheels. but with large offsets, the results can be less predictable. we used to use high density air soft pellets to balance large offroad tires on our rigs back in the day. a quart size jar was usually enough for 38 inch tires to roll smooth-ish on the street. once you reach about 30mph.

That engine was NOT firing on ALL cylinders. If you are some sort of ace with these engines, ... you would have heard and known that. That HT lead sparking out like that should have told you there is a problem with the spark plug, ie: no gap or just bad leads. Your title leaves a LOT to the imagination.

May I ask something? Why did you cnced a griffith block make all this mess and the pour copper and machined it again? And you didnt cast from the first time just a block of copper (easy casting) and then machine the copper??

One of my engineering college professors was giving his take on difficult fields of engineering. Some people proposed rocket science, aerospace, etc. he claimed that tire engineering took the best engineers because it was insane how many calculations and modeling goes into designing a new tire.
