The penalties are applied so inconsistently they don’t work. Add to that you can save a penalty to be added to your racetime at the end and you have people who’ve been ‘punished’ ruining other people’s races. If there was gravel everywhere you would have far fewer people driving off track. Failing that, how about if all 4 wheels are off the track it should be an automatic drive through penalty. That would soon stop it. As for having to have stewards monitoring each car constantly, that is a joke of an excuse. The amount of data collected and monitored by the F1 teams shows how easy it would be to monitor remotely using sensors (and then video review to be certain). If the rules are clear, accurate and consistently applied to all what’s the downside - you can no longer manipulate the outcome of a race (or championship…)

Bottas does have an outside chance at the Williams or the Haas spot. Haas have said they don't want a rookie alongside Bearman, so either Zhou, Bottas, Sargeant (longshot), Gasly, or Ocon. All of this assumes Tsunoda doesn't want to leave RB. We'll see how Toto feels about Antonelli going immediately to Mercedes. If not, he can move Antonelli to Williams. And in the event he doesn't get Sainz, he can promote Ocon for a year to Mercedes, while Antonelli develops at Williams.

A nice 3.2 V8 with twin turbos could produce over 1000hp. Although I would rather see brake re-gen and a capacitor or small battery that the team could utilize the power as they wish. If they develop the technology enough that that bit of added weight is worth it. You have a nice package.

It’s not about being competitive, it’s about revenue! If I told any of the people advocating for Andretti to share their household income with me would they say yes, sure! Of course not! Then why should F1 reams want to loose money to accommodate Andretti? And it’s not about the USA because there is a USA team on the grid, it’s just not Andretti! And they suck by the way…. And the criticism is right, being on F1 far more benefits Andretti than they other way around.

In my opinion every driver should get points and be rewarded for finishing. However, the FIA should first and foremost sort out the different standards when applying penalties, interpretation of rules, etc, depending on what driver makes the infringements.
