    Following the first Sprint weekend of the season in China, another one is scheduled for Miami, and it will be the first time the track around Hard Rock Stadium has hosted the action-packed two-race event. But there will also be plenty of struggles and problems for the drivers in Miami.

    F1 needs to be more about the relationship between the driver and the team. This minimal practice format is perfect to test both driver and team in their communication and ability to understand their cars and set them up. When a team has two days to set up the cars, it makes it only about the quality of the car instead of the driver and setup.

      COTA is fine. There just needs to be a good track for use built in the Midwest, say Iowa or Nebraska for a fall race. Something central that isn’t going to be full of stupidity. A down to earth race with a well designed track. Regular people would go to that race and COTA, then keep Vegas. Miami can fuck itself.

    • @BionicBurke
      @BionicBurke Před měsícem +1

      @@buggus0034 There are so many tracks around the USA they could potentially go to... yet they have 2 ridiculous street races. As an American, I find that insulting that they would rather fuck up my city than go to an actual race track. Why not Sebring? Is it because they can't stand racing at more than one location that IndyCar also races?

      @@VBshredder Monaco stands out for tradition, it is the ONLY race that was present in EVERY season, but apart from that, street circuits should be kept to a minimum as they are NOT racing tracks, do not account for RACING opportunities, only for the excitement to see who's gonna crash.

      Oh shut up we gave you arguably BEST race of the season in Vegas,when you guys cried about the track for a year. Also don't pretend as if COTA is bad. Miami just needs to change a few corners like Abudabi did and it's automatically a 3 hit schedule in the states. In Other words your welcome

    Every time Miami comes up they always talk about the surface of the track. Being a new track could it be that there is not enough data for the teams to find the perfect setup. And not to mention being knew drivers may not be as familiar with the track. I like F1 but its rare to see a driver or team say I messed up(Stroll). I want to see good racing and less complaining.

    Weil, I am not a fan of sprint races in general the current format is far away the best that the FIA has come up with. The reopening of parc firme is probably the most important change. that means that a team that didn’t get its initial set up right has an opportunity to correct the errors in time for the Grand Prix. This can only lead to better racing on Sunday.

    • @zarethd

      Two qualifying sessions is a bit weird

    What is the big incentive for teams to run in the sprint? If I were one of the top teams, the potential costs of an engine/trans would outweigh the benefits of a few points. Can a team sit out and not enter the sprint or maybe just run at their own pace and use it for practice/testing? When watching the Sprint, I am constantly wondering why in the world Red Bull or Max is even out there.

    Honestly this is the track i really dont like. IMO it is not a well designed track. There are some good mid speed corners and such, But the transition from mid to the low speed third sector of the track is awkwardly disrupting for the drivers (so far as i can tell). Just doesn't have a smooth flow. Im a born and bred American and a motorsports fan. Been an F1 fan looong before that show on netflix which ive never seen. Im here for the racing. The whole "pomp" spectacle stuff we do here in the states annoys me to no end. Im sure it does the drivers as well when they have to do introductory crap like the Superbowl just before a race. At least COTA is not as bad..yet. Vegas? omg that was stupid, felt like a Superbowl show. So lame. Difference is the track in Vegas is actually awesome. Miami? i would never spend money to go to that GP. Two cents.

    F1 is so lost. They want less carbon emissions...there's a series called Formula E for that...they basically want a spec series...there's Indy for that. For MANY YEARS, F1 was the pinnacle of motorsport and engineering, now, come 2026, it's basically a hybrid of Indy and Formula E. Every car needs to run a tiny turbo V6, with HALF the total power being delivered by battery...they must be heavy pigs with a full fuel load because of the refueling ban. WHAT is going on with F1??? They're killing the sport
