New rules are coming up for F1, and with one obvious dominant team at play right now it’s not difficult to figure out which team is most opposed to all the changes. But what Red Bull and it’s drivers have said about the upcoming rule changes recently is quite shocking. - Zábava
F1 engines being used like generators for the batteries is the same as seeing diesel generators charging the green electric buses and trucks of the muncipality. Clima Madness! 😅🤣
I've always thought the best power unit regulations should be to allow them a certain amount of fuel per race that is something like 50% of the amount it takes to run a full race now and let them develop what they want from there. They should have chassis regulations of much smaller cars like the 2000s. With a cost cap open up regulations or if you truly want more efficient cars let them spend what they want

its just a shame that the ICE didnt go to the 2 stroke ... that plan would have sounded great. but to win audi ... the other set of proposals were acted on.
A turbosupercharged 120 deg V6 would sound amazing. Almost like V12s of the 90s
2 stroke are almost impossible from an emission point.
My proposal for rules:
Powertrain: Anithing you can dream of, but with a limit of N Megajoules of energy in the tank. Toxic or very dangerous fuels forbiden (NO touene, no hidrazine). If you want, allow extra Mj for carbon neutral fuels. Also, if you want, cost cap, but multiplied by any customer teams you have (If you supply engines to one team, X cap. If two, 2X cap. If N, NX cap) Alternatively, fix price of the engine, and it will be counted in the team cost cap.
Aero: Design an standard airfoil. Test all cars in the wind tunel with this airfoil x meter after the car. Airfoil should not lose more than N% of downforce. Anithing compliant with this is legal.
Safety: Very strict crash tests, debris, etc....
Tyres: No mandatory pit stops, no mandatory multiple compounds. Let teams choose providers, audit the providers, and include the cost in the cost cap.
Others: Limit size of the cars. Ban urban circuits. Anything else legal.
Make F1 Group B cars!

Is any research being done regarding the use of biofuels instead of electricity? Surely that would be a better option (and sound?) than the electric nonscence that seems to be causing so many problems including implementation for the general motor industry. Surely biofuel would be a cheaper, less toxic & more readily available option to think about?? 🤔
