The Jedi code is to not get too attached, but they’re all far too attached to being Jedi. Kenobi didn’t leave for Sabine, Anakin didn’t leave for Padme - and it robbed them of so much potential happiness (albeit Anakin’s draw was more for gaining power)

It’s interesting to think about how many more Jedi there would have been were they allowed to be in relationships, given how hereditary the force seems to be in the series

The tragedy of Anakin is that he was probably the most loved of any of the Jedi and it would have taken so little to stop him falling to darkness, but it happened anyway.

Kenobi gives them space consistently but loses Anakin’s full trust with “and friends you must remain”. Quai-gon would’ve better guided Anakin through balancing being a Jedi and his relationship. Not that Vader is Kenobi’s fault (as Vader himself says)

To be fair, on the thirteenth count, I am pretty sure the battle is still going on while thay are negotiating, unlike the previous two counts of Fake Surrender made by Anakin. This one would probably be fine. They were negotiating terms of surrender while the battle was still happening, therefore there was no pretense of surrender beyond that one area.
