How EA ruined Star Wars Games

- So… EA just announced three new Star Wars Games in development, which is a great opportunity for me now to talk about how EA ruined their opportunities with their exclusive Star Wars Games license. Discussing the problems about ea as a company, Battlefront 1 (Battlefront 2015), Battlefront 2, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, Jedi Fallen Order 2 Sequel and the canceled Star Wars project Ragtag by Visceral which was closed. Also im going into Detail taking about the problems with the exclusive licese to make Star Wars Games and how Battlefront 2 was ruined. Talking about Lootboxes and the roadmap with not giving us the content we wanted like Ventress and Ahsoka. Also the 1hp bug problem Battlefront lobbys suffer right now. Hacker 1 hp Bug in battlefront 2.

EA destroys everything it touches. Look what they did to titles like Battlefield and Command & Conquer series to name a few. EA is disgustingly a greedy company which ruins good games.
Ironically founded by an artist who wanted to make games like art and dont care about the money too much, he left the project after 10 yrs and since then he was only replaced by managers who want to maximise profits

The people who created the original characters like Praul (from Jedi fallen order) should produce the SW live action series’. They possess the ability to create original compelling characters. They don’t rely on already existing characters (eg BOBF)
BOBF really bothers me right now bc its either fanservice with bringback of characters or stuff that doesnt fit like the Bike Gang....

I wouldn't say JFO was the greatest single-player Star Wars experience but it was definitely a bright spot in EA's ruination of the Star Wars IP.
Exactly, i mean it was a nice experience and i think its biggest benefit was that it came unexpected so the fans didnt build up so high expectations and pressure on the developers
Nice video! When comparing the original Star Wars battlefront 2 to EA’s version, the original will always be better in my opinion. Liked and subscribed!
really hard to answer, I mean when you think about the old games there is also much nostalgia and you only remember the positive parts but overall i would also prefer the originals. The new BF 1 & 2 have nice graphics but ironically dont feel as clean as the old ones :D

@@TheRogueOneYT Yeah BF1 and BF2 look amazing graphically I have to admit. I remember when the BF1 trailer came out I was amazed at how far technology had come since the original battlefront 2. Looking forward to the next video :)

A friend I think told me, that Star Wars:Squadrons is a great game and he loved it even though it was rather small.
Edit: also, loved the Video. You seem really confident. I was Kind of surprised by how little attention you get. You'd deserve way more

@@TheRogueOneYT It's a fun-ish flight sim, but you spend the entire game's single player (because the only way to do MP is to grind, and MP is broken by a random system unrelated to star wars at all called 'drifting' which is just.... stupid in space...)

Literally, people keep making star wars games and ignoring the simple, simple requests.

#2. Campaigns that actually involve fighting in the epic battles that happened... ie coruscant
However, if you pick it up cheap, it's great fun to fly around super fast. I'll replay in vr when I get one.

Squadrons is really fun imo and even more so if you have a VR Headset.
In the campaign you play both on the imperial and rebel side which imo is really great. Furthermore I think the non-inclusion of the "epic battles" is really good as you get to see more from the star wars universe and the battles are still really great and epic and I thought it was very refreshing not getting planets and missions I already know from the movies, series or other games.
@@stephenqueen6946 Well, you know, multiplayer I cant even play because I require PS+ for it. I hate Sony for that one, but also the EA. How can I play other games multiplayer?

EA destroyed the reputation of Star Wars games so much that I have never played any of the games simply due to the publisher. I refuse to support such a shitty company
It even hurts more when you consider that EA was founded with the intention to see programmers as artists and not think about the money so much...
Not gonna lie, as soon as I saw “EA” I ran back to my old xbox to play galactic conquest. I never even cared to bother for these game, so I never really knew *how* baaaaad it is. I mean, I knew it sucked, but I could _never_ had imagined this.
This all changes with Gamepass. I jsut got into battlefield 2 (big gears fan) and I paid nothing. NOTHING. So is it worth it now? HELL YA
You did the best trade deal in the history of trade deals. Yk i am not saying that they demand zoo much money for star wars. I think if its a nice game (what bf2 is) i can also pay them money for their efforts. But the way how bold they want to make you spend money really bothers me...

Exactly. And the BF2 campaign with Iden Versio is not really a rounded game experience
Another thing that I feel like would be a good concept is a tomb raider like game, with multiple areas and able to do either stealth, or go in guns blazing. I feel like a good example is to make the stealth like Shadow of the Tomb Raider but more leaning towards Rise of the Tomb Raider. They could take some ideas from those two games and make it into a star wars game, though if they do this EA would most likely need to make a bounty hunter game or even a ex-bounty hunter game

I don't mean to antagonize anyone who loves BF2(2017), but to anyone that said that EA learned their lesson their lesson or that the Loot box controversy was blown out out of proportion really don't understand EA. I'm pretty sure EA/Dice had to change the progression system not because they were sorry, but because they got caught; especially when Bob Iger himself got involved. Imagine if no one complained about the loot boxes and just accepted it. EA could've pushed the microtransactions even further. Worst case scenario they could've pushed Respawn to have microtransactions in Fallen Order. It is nice that the game is at a much better state. I just wished it was like this from the start. What was suppose to be the beat Star Wars shooter experience, became one of the infamous video game launches due to twin corporate greed (DIsney and EA).
The whole loot box controversy can be best summed up by Shrek, "Could you not be yourself FOR FIVE MINUTES?!?!?!"
Also too bad the single player campaign is still garbage. TIE Fighter (1994) is parsecs better. Marek Stelle FTW!

You know, i would also have paid some Bucks for a decent update. Fir something like ahsoka & ventress when i know the balancing is nice and its a stable game. But for bb8 and completely broken anakin.... hard to demand cash for that

just a random fact from my side ... the between 2018-202 many devs at dice left the company and the needed Battlefront devs to finish battlefield 2042 we all know what kinda shit that game looks like and plays like ...however i dont have any hope for ANY NEW GAME DICE/EA makes in star wars area no hope at all good that ubisoft is now on turn with an open world game if they do it right they will make more money with that game then EA with all THEIR GAMES ever made cause the fanbase of star wars is willing to pay for GOOD content not bad shit
