Happy Anniversary! 💜 My partner and I met each other first time ten years ago, been together nine years, and lived together for seven (we had a long distance relationship for two years). So we got together in our 40's. Also, we don't argue, we have similar views on a lot of stuff, and communication is good. Also, we don't stress or get irritated about small, insignificant things. The growing together vs growing apart thing, is something I think depends on the people. My ex and I got together when we were very young, and we definitively grew apart. The twenties are very formative years. Even though we had good communication, we just changed in different directions. And that's OK. For me it's super important to have enough alone time, and do my own things. If we were "glued to the hip", I would get annoyed and grumpy (not fun to be with). I don't think there's one answer how to make it work, it really depends on the persons in the relationship and their personalities. I don't talk about marriage, as to me marriage is simply a written contract. And I don't plan on ever marrying anyone. ;-)

I'm curious to what that high pitched sound is? Could it be crickets? Something else?

Agree 100% on the dates. I think the couples who say that aren't actually friends with their spouse, which I think is so weird! My husband and I spend the majority of our free time together doing simple things like taking walks, talking, cooking, watching movies or playing games. There is really no need to go on an expensive date to reconnect when we're connecting nonstop! Good enough for us! We've been together 16 years😊 Happy Anniversary!

I find it baffling that so many eat frozen pizzas. It's super popular here. They don't taste nice, making your own is so much better. We're privileged, and can drink water straight from the tap. ❤ I actually think brown pasta so much better than white pasta. It's more flavourful. I never pay much attention to expiry dates. I rather smell and such. I get less food waste that way. Why do you think canola oil is bad?

Congrats to Micah! Don't use your energy on being angry with other people's mess. People are different. Also, sometimes it may be other things behind what you see. When I was suffering from depression, where I lived was very untidy - I had no capacity mentally to tidy. I used all my strength to go to work and get through the day.

🤗 hello from Poland 🇵🇱 and rural living channel and Christianity!

I have never thought I had my life figured out. I usually say "life happens", because you can't control how your life turns out, and unexpected things happen all the time. Especially after the car accident in 2008, I know life can be cut short in an instance. I have never been afraid of change, and tend to mostly live in the moment. I don't believe in any gods, so I just try to live my life as it is, and make the best of things, and make what I think are ethical choices. Maybe I'll take a walk in the woods today. We'll see.

How do you define "bad words"? I find it fascinating that some words are considered not OK in some countries, while totally fine in others. Like the word f*ck, which is super common to use in Ireland, and not really seen as particularry bad, but I know it's seen as swering in the US. Also, I remember when I wokred in "the bible belt" here in Norway, and someone asked me, "is it swearing in the book?" I wasn't able to reply to that question, as I honestly don't notice. The Night Diary sounds really interesting!

I have the impression that recycling is more common here than in the US. Terracycle is not really an option here. We have them, but... it's pretty much nothing. Most people I know buy the clothes for their kids second hand. Some of my favourite items are hand-me-downs or bought second hand.

Did yall know God's Son Jesus Christ Died On The Cross and Rose Again From The Dead out of The Tomb on The 3rd Day. He Died for Everyones Sins even Mine. He Paid the Horrible Price we should have Paid. But He Paid it So We Would Have A Way into Heaven. if We Repent for Our Sins and Believe in Him and Serve Him and Obey Him. So I Encourage Those We Are Living In The Last Days I Encourage Anyone Not Saved Now Its the Time To Repent And Live For The Lord Before Its To Late and God's Final Judgment Comes. After you accept Jesus Christ into your heart and you Repent for Your Sins Your Name Gets Written Down in The Lamb's Book Of Life. and You Gotta Continue to Serve the Lord and Repent for Your Sins all the days of your life until Jesus comes back to call His Church home. Because No Ones Perfect we all Sin. but we need to Not Willfully Sin. and i will admit i have willfully sinned multiple times and I feel Guilty About it So I Repent we Were Made sinners because of Adam And Eve. but we dont need to Sin on Purpose. But We Sin All The Time Because we Humans get Angry and hurt people. and Are Hateful toward people when God commands us to Love Our Neighbors. and Pray for Our Enemies. there is all kinds of Sins. We Are Allowed to Be Frustrated at Peoples Actions. Without getting Angry and injuring People and breaking Stuff. Or Name Calling thats Wrong to. Heaven And Hell Are Real... and after Jesus Christ comes back and calls His Church home. Alot of people will be left behind because of being to caught up with the world and not believing in God. and other stuff And During that time the Anti Christ will reveal himself and Lie to People and Say Hes Jesus Christ. and he will try and Deceive the ones in Israel. and in turn Try and And Deceive the Entire World. and he will try to force People to Receive a Chip in their Right Hand or Foreheads.The Anti Christ hasn't Revealed Himself yet Though. and If you havent noticed they are trying to push for digital currency but we dont know who the Anti Christ Is. Only the ones left behind will know unless people make things right with GOD. Revelation 20:11 KJV And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. I feel like I add value to people's life through my job as a librarian in a public library. I am not a minimalist, and don't think it's for me, at all.

Interesting to hear WHY you are a minimalist and it makes sense, but HOW do you do it in practice? I like all my stuff around me and do tend to go for antiques/secondhand. But i do accept that today’s society is very much a throwaway one and goods are not created nowadays with a view to longevity.l 😏

The baby is almost a toddler now! Time flies. I find minimalism fascinating, but it's definitively not for me.
