Ooh. Looks like I’m going to try some of your choices based on your review! Newtown sounds intriguing. A place to hang the moon has been on my radar. Thanks for a great video!!

A Place to Hang the Moon was truly a beautiful story. Definitely a kid friendly book too.

Have heard a lot of good things about The Travelling Cat Chronicles. I think it sounds like a book I'd enjoy.
I have The Familiars in some box. 😂 I have read another book by Stacy Halls that I really liked.
Don't think I have heard about Newtown, but here we are baffled by all the school shootings in the US. (Don't think there has been a single one here).
The Only One Left seems to be one of those books «everyone» is reading.
It's fascinating that you react so strongly to the F-word. My partner is Irish, and the Irish use the F-word a LOT. So much it's not really swearing.
The Fíre on High is on my TBR, has read a couple of the author's other books and liked them a lot.
We say «hygge» i Norwegian as well.
Howl’s Moving Castle is my current read!
I agree with the saying «Ban guns, not bools». Taking weapons and making them into garden tools is cool. I live in a country with SUPER strict gun laws, and don't get what the Americans are so worried about. 😅

Oh here where I live people say the F word while they are taking a breath in thought. I just am not a fan of swearing and don't at all myself, but I don't know many who are the same.
There was a law made here after our Revolutionary War where citizens had the right to bear arms to protect their land and defend themselves because of how England had treated them, but it is very old and the amount of citizens were so small. We only had 13 colonies at that time rather than 50+ states. Also, assault weapons didn't exist back then, just rifles, handguns, and cannons that took time to load. Many people feel that if citizens don't have guns here, the government can just take them out and control having power in their hands and also many people feel that illegal guns will still be sold and used while citizens wouldn't be able to protect themselves. Those are the only arguments I have heard anyway.
I think this is the only Stacy Halls book I read. Which other ones did you read?

@@TheMennomilist I have heard the illegal gun argument before, but they're really hard to get. Probably another discussion for our letters?
I have read Mrs England by Stacy Halls, and enjoyed it.
