  • People get shocked when they visit and see my empty fridge or pantry, but I assure you, we eat full meals and are doing fine! I tend to meal plan, but here is what I would typically buy from Trader Joe's once a month (sometimes every 6-8 weeks). I spent $150.54 total!
I usually cook many meals by scratch, but this was for an easier simpler week with less workload to give me some breathing room. I like doing that from time to time.

I like the Ben and Jerry's dairy-free ice cream 🍨
With the corn masa, you could try making arepas. There are several recipes on CZcams and Pinterest, just pick an easy one 🕜

I find it baffling that so many eat frozen pizzas. It's super popular here. They don't taste nice, making your own is so much better.
We're privileged, and can drink water straight from the tap. ❤
I actually think brown pasta so much better than white pasta. It's more flavourful.
I never pay much attention to expiry dates. I rather smell and such. I get less food waste that way.
Why do you think canola oil is bad?

Frozen pizza does taste not so good. My fresh handmade pizza tastes soooo good and it really is not hard to make, while being inexpensive and much cheaper to make than buy elsewhere. Buying two pizza pies here costs 35-40 bucks when I can make two pizza pies of my own for about 6 bucks!
Canola oil has a lot of trans fats, has solvent residue, lacks vitamins that other oils have, leads to heart disease, which is common in my bloodline, and can make immflamation. Avocado oil is good for your heart and has better vitamins in it.
I think we are just not really used to brown pasta here. We tried.
