Hi Bill, like the shot of Mayflower coming out of the tunnel, did you see the steam ejecting from the whistle then the delay before your heard it.

Lovely video Bill. I love watching the old steam trains. We were hoping to see one come through today, but I think I got my dates wrong.

Those slide pics are brilliant, love the 125! The footage of all those trains really captures how terrifying being on the sea wall is when there's a fast one on the down line...I'm sure we'll get used to it eventually haha. Cheers (and glad to see Rufus so well fed)

Nice photos Bill , my favourite class and in the first picture class 52 western,diesel hydraulic and very popular on the seawall, I was with you earlier in the year when we filmed one’s return to our region . The second a English Electric class 50 ( hoover) you’ve filmed them a few times in GBRF livery ,now in large BR logo livery. Western Region HST inter city 125 with a screaming Valenta at both ends … lovely. Great photos!. Great content as usual mate!

The photos were taken throughout the 70's whilst staying in Teignmouth on holiday. The first is a class 52 'Western', then a class 50 'Hoover', and finally a HST.

Nice video Bill, I remember the Sea point, not sure I ever went in. I think you meant the Life boat pub? Ferry boat is over the other side as you know. My go to cafe with my mates in the 1980's was the Riverside cafe when it was owned by the Thomas family. The family and their rockabilly sons, rockabilly friends ran it, so it was the place for me to get a good deal on a hot dog or pie. Have you done a then and now on it?

Hi Bill hope you're well, a rather damp and dull virtual walk around Teignmouth and along the sea wall, but still most enjoyable. Driving to work this morning it was raining very windy and dull, I thought too myself it looked and felt more like a march day than a mid August day, I think we've had our summer this year or at least a few summer days. Our first visit to Teignmouth was our honeymoon in 1967 where we watched the film Sound of music at the cinema. Teignmouth has always been our holiday destination and pleased to say we will be returning on August 24th for a week to stay with Kathy at the Victoria apartments. We hopefully will be able to give you a wave Bill 👍

Saw last night's then and now. Be aware bill you can visit Haldon airport but you cannot fly your drone there. There are night jars nesting in the area so all rc flying is banned. For many years the council tried to stop our flying until they came up with the night jar reason.
