Great capture of the Northern Belle Pullman Bill . Two of the original virgin trains rescue locomotives-named after thunderbirds 57313 (Tracey island) -57315. ( The mole) fitted with Dellner coupling to rescue the pendalino’s on the west coast mainline and they had 16 in the fleet. Both originally class 47s and built in the 60s at Brush falcon works-re-manufactured at Brush works Loughborough between 98 -2004 into class 57s

Great and I have to admit I wasn't aware of this smallish class i.e. the 57s, shame on me. As rebuilds of the 47s I suppose the new number is appropriate when you think of Heinz 57😸. 😺
I was just down there a lot longer than usual - Left early to get the 1040 tamper you told me about, then stayed out till nearly 2 - So many more trains than usual and a couple of unexpected ones too 👍
