This is super cool in so many ways! It's a piece of history, and an insight into what your guys lives are actually like. It must of been kinda surreal flying over all those ancient buildings, so much history in that part of the world.

Had some Kiowa's cover a few missions we did up that way during that time. Was based out of TQ in 04. One particular mission one of the little birds dropped down when we were on the west side of the lake. Next thing ya know both crew got out and took a piss haha. I got pictures of it. Wouldn't be a chance it was you?

I was a combat cameraman throughout 2004-2007 in Iraq. 2007 was my last trip with the Green Berets, and it was always a relief to hear aircrafts above our heads to let us know we were never alone. Nice clip Sir!

"Procured"

We had a bombed out building, sun showers, baby wipes, and cardboard in Fallujah. It always enraged us to go back to air bases and get lit up for being covered in dirt and blood when trying to get hot food. We hated most air wingers.

I wish i would have taken more photos and videos when i was deployed to iraq. I remember not wanting to take many pics or videos. just wanted to get it over and forget my time there. But now the many years later. All i have are the memories and not much more then a few pics and items. Really wish i had taken more pics and videos to remember that time in my life.

My first deployment was at Anaconda from Jan 04 thru Mar 05, we ran convoy & route security with our craptastic guntrucks up Tampa to Tikrit regularly. Many times you guys were flying over us, especially around the Samarra bypass & around Balad. Also a pair of OH-58s smoked some hajis at night who trying to breach the wire near our hooches, which was an awesome fireworks show on my birthday. I always saluted whenever I felt like y'all were watching. Good times. I just wish I had taken more pictures, and not lost most of the ones I had.

Just got the new Kiowa module in DCS. Really enjoying this aircraft. Very beautiful and cool!!

My step dad died in Iraq, August 2004 in a helicopter crash. He was the same age that I turned this year, which really put a lot into perspective after my birthday. I've always been into aviation and can often find myself envious of you and other people I know that joined. I don't think I will ever join the military, but I hope one day I can have a job that allows me to fly and also help people. Thank you for sharing this video. I'm glad you're safe.

I served from 2000-2013 in the Army. As one of those guys on the ground I can't tell you how good it felt when y'all were covering our movements, THANKS! I was in Tikrit, Adwar, Poliwada in Balad, Joint Base Balad back in 08-09.
