While I was maybe 14, I saw some video of a kiowa chasing a couple taliban dudes on a motorcycle. Co pilot was shooting his m4 out the window like a badass. I saw it and said, "thats what I want to do." Fast forward 9 years I'm headed to Rucker next month to start sere as a 67J. Just want to thank you for uploading videos like this! The kiowa seemed so fun! Thank you for your service!

      Sadly those days are long-gone.
History has a way of making fools of all of us, but it's doubtful there'll ever be flying like that again.
      Thanks for your comments.
      Good luck in school!

    Hah.
I just realized; for someone that doesn't know that Abad is short for Asadabad...
"ABAD" might look like "a bad approach", lol.

Good times. I had to go there with the TF Saber AMO and one of Charlie Troop’s MTPs to change out a *broken KFLEX* right there at the FARP. I got a cool photo of some UH-60s approaching from the other direction lemme find it.

Abad was pretty safe. It was out past there where it became Indian country.

I wonder why they had the balloon low that day? Weather looks fine. Would they lower it if a lot of air traffic present?
