Mi-26 Slings a CH-47F back to Mustang Ramp; Kandahar 2009

A contract Mi-26 Halo brings back a crash-damaged CH-47F to Kandahar Air Field in 2009.
The CH-47F was damaged from a hard landing, and was unflyable.

The Russians must have found a lot of humor in this turn of events. First we used to a CH-47 to sling load one of their Mi-25s out of Northern Chad. Then they sling load one of our CH-47s out of a different dusty, third world nation with a Mi-26. I'm sure there is a "In Soviet Russia..." joke in there somewhere.
