I don't think I'd call myself a prodigy but I'm 13 years old and I've performed with orchestra (as concertmaster not soloist ofc) and I've gotten a offer from my teacher to play in a professional orchestra for a concert and I still have a social life, go to school, and I have a lot of extracurricular activities like basketball (which is probably not good but anyways) football, and plenty of other things so I guess its not about being a prodigy its about scheduling and managing your time for other things :)

Isn't complexity of growing up easily at first and then you hit a wall and suddenly need to practice hard to grow further are the same for any other occupation? I don't think we have a question of being prodigy here. It's more like a question of strict parents and your own motivation. Which can be a problem one or another or both. But it doesn't really touches prodigies but the growing itself. It's just bumping a wall in growing is happens later for prodigies. Not like for me after 5 minutes of tries)

This is stupid. If you enjoyed the show, why does it matter if the music is recorded? And just because he can't play the violin, doesn't mean he isn't a person in need. It's not like he is walking up to folks, forcing a CD into their hands, and then demanding money for it. Bottom line, if you give, give freely and don't expect anything in return, not even gratitude or honesty. If you want to help in a way that you know is effective, don't give on the street level, give to known, respected charitable organizations.

We only see successful musician. We cant see pain,work and tears they spend. So, dont be envious of them. They are also average people just forced to be great at something. I realize there are people who are talented, but without hardwork it is nothing

Anyone who can play stringed orchestral instruments can see the scammers are not playing the instrument, but faking it. Bow hold is wrong, bow strokes and pressure do not match the music, right arm position is wrong, left hand position is wrong, left finger positions are wrong, left wrist position is wrong: etc, etc. One of the most difficult instruments to fake - of which you cannot really fake playing violin.

Bro I have been trying to play violin 2 years ago and I still don't know how to play well any Melody.. And this idiots wining money for faking it's other level men.. Ridiculous

I just don’t agree with the idea of child exploitation. For me child exploitation is forcing children to waist 14 years of their life in school to be useless at the end. And then go to university to maybe get something out of it (mostly a mediocre career and a low salary). At least prodigies accomplished something and made a decent amount of money for their hard work. Ps. People attach their identity to their profession regardless of being a musician and loosing fingers can ruin most of careers (surgeons, dentists, hairdressers,sculptors, nailers etc).

What do you call them? How about…illegal immigrants who slithered into America for the government catering and panhandling, and the chance to sue someone wealthy here in this country.
