I used to play violin for 11 years - but you gotta take into account this is his first time doing something like this. and ngl for a first-timer he has a very high level of understanding of music
There actually is a violinist, Michael Prince, who is doing a project called "Hood orchestra." His arrangements sounds pretty good.

He said they were already working on it and that he knows they’re tired and he even apologized for not knowing the correct terminology… when he entered the room… So it sounds like they already started making the song, he’s just arranging how they come in and the tempo. Seems legit to me honestly 🤷🏾♂️ To me, it seems like what happens when a millionaire has enough money to hire a professional orchestra for a day to make a song simply so they could possibly sample parts of it later… Kanye did similar things multiple times to make songs…
This is why I like looping. You just build layers. But the challenge is to keep the arrangements interesting by losing them and bringing them back.

So, justin even says hes out of his element and trying something new. All he's done at such a young age is pretty incredible. Hes amazing.
It’s fun watching people who know what they’re talking about talk about these videos. I learn so much and it’s always fun to watch and read the discourse in the comments. I don’t know anything about that , basic terms and soft from chorus , so it’s always cool to see more in depth explanations. JB is deff not from the hood tho 😂 imagine Snoop? Now that’s a g 😂

Talking smack about others because it's improvised? I love it when people indulge in their passions, like Justin does here. He seems to have been somewhat prepared, who wouldn't be when booking an orchestra. Yet, he's opened a new chapter in his life and created something new, and that's exactly what life should be about. Trying, playing around, learning from one's own actions, that's life. A great musical experience. 🎶🌟👍

I like his "hood" verbage directing the orchestra. It allows the lay person (me) to understand his thought process, & follow along. I also liked Beibers arrangement more.

Could be improvised and they are writing down the notes on a blank stave paper? The harpist could’ve been writing down their notes/flipping that paper

Bro I'm just watching ur channel for the first time. I mean I'm no musician... not like that anyway but u made me think. Iv watched this video before and to me its seems real.. but so do most ghost vids too. By ur reaction it's a free style. Did some research into it and kinda going with yh it's 100% real. He's in training mode..ie still learning.. hence the yesss ( which I feel was a true thought of his.) Just happened as a great job he was doing. I think he surprised himself tbh.. im gonna sub as I love music and like all aspects. I'm not a Bieber fan at all but thought he done a brilliant job on that if it was 100% no pressure stuff. Thx for the feedback on his performance as I seen a short at first couple weeks back then loved the performance and just went to check it out and seen this. Safe bro

Does anyone know what would i have to type in to find videos of orchestra playing that kind of sound? Like what would that be called? Ive tried "upbeat orchestra" and stuff like that and no success. I want cool modern sounds like this one Justin beaber made.

My friends used to practice "conducting" recordings with hip hop style movements. It's a good time, and actually not that hard to make readable conducting movements inspired by hip hop.

I thought that too. But many believed that everything was “invented” on the spot, which is why i mentioned that it was pre-arranged.

I guess Bieber is a pretty talented musician indeed. the problem here is all his work is focused on good seeling gargabe pop so he has not enough artistic freedom to create some really impressive music. i think he could easely be a classical music musician.
But he has the beat and people that knew what he wanted so overall good team

It is much more simple than it looks. He has a lot of experience programming basic arrangements and beats using midi. So he is literally doing that but much more expensive. You don’t pay midi by an hour.😂
If he had let someone else Conduct like in the later video you showed I think it may have it been better received.
They literally could’ve wrote done the key of the song and the foundation so it can help them
