Really enjoyed this video. Love how you assess the course management aspect of the game. For most of us men amateurs this is the type of style we should emulate. Like you I tend to aim a little right and play a draw. My biggest leak is with the driver. Just don't get enough distance compared to my iron carry distances which are comparable to yours. End up with too long of a second shot on par 4's. Any advice for the driver? I think because I practice almost every day hitting irons I put too much back spin on the ball. Usually very little roll.Hitting the driver farther would definitely help lower my scores. Great shot with that 3 wood!

Your confidence and skill with the 3 wood is inspiring. So much power and accuracy from those clean strikes -brilliant!
The other thing i noticed this time is that your short irons always take a large divot... Do you ever play on hard baked courses where this isn't possible, and do you have to adjust?
Keep up the high quality play and content! đŸ˜ŠđŸ‘ŒđŸŸđŸ‘đŸżđŸ€đŸŸ

Predictably they are long par 3's with significant hazards and long par 4's I need to hit a long club into. Holes that I am unlikely to improve on. So I focus on making birdies on the short holes.

    Great round Gen
A technical point, you have been talking a lot about aiming right but your shoulders seem to be straight so it seems to be your step when you set up. I'm in no position to offer any coaching but maybe someone, more qualified, can comment on that... This is more of a draw set up without drawing, you may be constricting yourself...
Secondly regarding your dispersion, and I don't know whether your app does this anyway, I think there are a couple of the shots you need to exclude from the averages - the 18th tee shot for example will skew the average - it was a mishit rather than your 'mode' average.
Another interesting point is you need to determine whether you are hitting the ball right or just aiming right and actually hitting where you are aiming. The difference is if you change your swing because your dispersion is right or you adjust your aim because you're hitting the ball where you are aiming....

Great posture great setup at address! You tend to straighten the angle of your right knee in the backswing. This will alter the club path, could be fitness issue, leg strength. Look at Lee6 for example on video. Maintains the knee angle as she loads in the backswing. Just a thought.

    • @lltb67
      @lltb67 Pƙed 3 lety

Dean if you didn't realize most golf pros straighten the rear knee to facilitate extension in the back swing. Yes you can play without much flex but this is not how the hips are designed to move and will stress the right hip joint. Long term it is not a good idea unless you want injuries and a short career.

    • @deanf5524

@@lltb67 Sorry I wasn't talking about most pros, none of the top 10 players on the LPGA straighten that knee, none. No doubt causes higher stress but not sure how concerned about longevity they are since many are ranked top 10 in the world before they are 22.

Unless your clubs are wrongly fitted, working your way up starting from chipping with the right technique should progressively help the rest of your game! I don't really believe in working specifically on 1 or 2 irons. If they really feel different from the rest of your clubs, consider a hybrid or maybe getting them fitted! (especially if you hit every club good other than those 2!) In general of course they will not be as solid as say, hitting a 9 iron but they should still feel good! 😊

    LINK doesn't work.
Really learned a lot from this video. Never try to over power a hole, you don't take bigger risks when your next show is still reachable. Thank you! Happy New Year!

Just a FYI, the upgame link is returning 'Site Not Found' for me, I am in europe if that has anything to do with it failing. Is the link working for others?

Please don’t take this the wrong way because your English is better than any 2nd language I’ll ever know. But when you said river I think you meant stream or creek. We all knew what you meant but thought you might like to know.
Stream - A small natural waterway, larger than a brook, but smaller than a creek. Creek - A medium natural waterway, larger than a stream. Often a tributary to a river. “

Biggest Takeaway on this video. Playing back eliminates most of the hazards off the tee. Generally wider landing areas which means hitting the next shot from the fairway. It showed in your game that not having to worry about narrow landing areas or bunkers/water off the tee made you more aggressive. Think everyone can take a lot from this video.
