Never put a tool against the mating surfaces. It damages them and is a pain to repair. Never order a piston without checking the cylinder first. Get a hammer impact driver for screws. It's a screw driver that is spring loaded to rotate in a given direction when hit with a hammer. Pistons are measured down below near the wrist pin. The top of the pistons expands when hot.

I have an 04 with the Vito’s 240 kit, toomey pipe, all the extras. That thing was dangerous as hell, as it was all motor and stock suspension, it would do 73mph on 22 inch tires. My son and I are rebuilding it to her former glory.

The biggest reason those case screws strip out, is because they are not #2 Phillips. They are #2 JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard)

You should have watched more videos to learn the proper way to work on the engine. Multiple things you show are very bad and probably knocked your crank out of spec. Also never order a piston without checking the cylinder first. It usually has to be bored out and the shop will let you know what size piston to order. Unless using new cylinder with stock or other specific bore size. Too many people rebuild engines and they may work when done but don't last long. The reason usually is because they didn't follow proper rebuild procedures and put together an out of spec engine. Two very common issues are banging or prying on the crank that messes up the clearances and not having the cylinder ports chamfered after a bore job. If ports are not chamfered the rings will catch and it blows up. Hundreds of stories of rebuilt engines only lasting a couple of hours, weeks or months can be attributed to improper rebuild procedures and not crappy parts.

Measure the piston at the wrist pin ...Not the top above the rings. ..Not the bottom of the skirt .....same with the bore ..66 is stock for blaster

66mm is stock, add .5 for every .20 overbored, so a 20 thousandths overbore will take a 66.5mm piston, but you should have torn that motor down before buying parts, imo.

Not an expert but I know enough, you should try and avoid power tools when rebuilding a fresh engine. Yes, it’s ok to run long bolts in with an impact but ratchets and wrenches are what you want to do your final rebuild with. More feel, you know when you have something snug, and bolt heads that have been impacted in look like crap, in my opinion.
