I live under a rock. So I had no idea who Daisy Keech was. But I have never had SO MANY requests to react to an influencer in real life before, as I had for Daisy. Why? I don't know! Maybe because she has millions of loyal followers, maybe because she is 'body goals', maybe because she seems perfect? Let's be real guys - no one is perfect. NO ONE. Not me, not you, not Daisy. We're not dolls! We're human beings, and no one looks the same in real life as they do on Instagram. We can't all walk around with a permanent filter, sucking our bellies in and contorting our bodies into flattering angles in real life. How awkward would that be lol.
Daisy is a stunner in real life. But she's still a real human being. Let's remember that!

Okay. So why are we picking this girl apart? If there’s such an issue here, just leave it alone. Who cares if she looks different on Instagram vs in real life. Most people do. And yes, if you want to look like her, you can not eat a lot. It’s not realistic at all, but it’s a choice that we are all entitled to make. Just like drinking alcohol or smoking…your body your choice, doesn’t mean it’s good for ya. Pick your battles.

I agree. She's making bad choices for herself, and I believe that's the point of this video: to show that no, that is not a good choice for many many reasons, just like smoking or using other drugs. But doesn't make her a bad person. She didn't create the diet mentality and probably suffers herself a lot with it. So what are we battleling here? Her? Or our own mentality about beauty and bodies and happiness...? 🤔

Someone else's diet or fitness routine can possibly make you very ill because of these factors, it works for them but that doesn't mean it'll work for you. There's also the fact that some people aren't entirely transparent, they also heavily edit their pictures before sharing it on social media. Let's not forget it can also be mentally damaging, constantly comparing yourself to an unrealistic standard. Find a fitness routine that works for your body, find a healthy balanced diet that works for your body.

Sometimes forgot to eat for 3 days straight and was always scared to gain weight because i got told since i was little that i am chubby. Especially my father fed my insecurities cause he always told me when i gained a bit of weight telling me to eat less sweets and always talking about women and that they have to be small and petite so obv. if u hear that since u are small u will internalise it. I am now 21 and i still suffer from my horrible relationship to food and my fucked up body image. idk how it was in ur case ( i am sorry i am kinda trauma dumping rn i hope thats ok) but i didnt feel lovable and still struggle with acknowledging that my worth does not get defined by my body count or looks in general. I eat better now tho. thanks to my really supportive bf who made sure i ate at least one meal per day when he noticed how bad it was and now i am at a point where i actually get hungry again and also snack and even gained weight. sometimes i think a little too much but then i think to myself that when i was skinny i also wasnt happy so rather eat and work on selfconfident rather than not eat and still hate myself. I did all this without working out and lost weight (the results really shows in 6 months), I still allow myself to eat whatever I want (in moderation), no suffering needed.
Although at some point I did exercise to help myself get fit because I'm a student who sits on the chair all day. But it helped me improving my mood, my mental health, my stamina and strength, I became happier and more confident in general! It felt great and I hope others can feel that too ^^

Look up the Mifflin-St Jeor formula! It tells you fairly accurately how many calories you should eat to maintain a certain weight. That could be your current weight, or a goal weight. Obviously make sure you feel healthy. Daisy Keech doesn't look unhealthy to me, but she definitely doesn't look like someone who only eats a slice of toast and a small smoothie every day. Unless that smoothie has some hidden calorie weight gainer powder that she's not talking about. Or she snacks. I'd be very skeptical that she's only eating toast and smoothie for breakfast and lunch. I'd be skeptical of any influencer. Just disregard their "diets." I'm thin, and I eat waayyyy more than these girls do. There's just no way their diets are real.

You are such an amazing CZcamsr, you are literally saving so many people (both women and men) from following dangerous lifestyles and undergoing dangerous surgeries
As somebody who experienced both fat shaming and skinny shaming it's so weird for me now that body standards have changed and people say how amazing my body is and how they ask me how i got curves on my thighs (thunder thighs)
And guys used to bully me all the time for my looks and now they are so creepy (not all of them of course)
My boyfriend was and is the only one who truly loves me whether I'm skinny, fat or thicc
And it's kind of ironic how a former "friend" of mine told me that a guy could never fall in love with me because i look like a slut, I was 15-16
And now i am almost 22 and i have the most loving and protective boyfriend ever
No matter what people do or say, you matter
Every single good human being matters

I think a lot of women have a problematic relationship with food or are orthorexic (e.g counting calories, having many „rules“, no sugar, no carbs, afraid of carbs) without realising it, because they think it’s just „healthy“. I did that for a very long time till it was so crazy that I needed therapy. And let me tell you: EVEN though I ate almost only fruits and vegetables, I NEVER looked like I wanted to look, never had „that body“. Now I know that my whole body isn’t meant to be that way, I’ll never have a tiny waist, my body structure is just different. I know it might sound crazy, but get rid of the scale for a while. Don't weigh yourself every day, or even every week. I don't weight myself 5 days before my period or during my period. I can swing 8-12 lbs from the week before to the week after, it is mostly all water weight and mostly in the stomach area. Just worry about how your clothing fits, if it is getting a little tight, then worry about eating a little less. Make sure your meals are balanced, I eat 2500(or more) calories a day, but I only about 20-25% of that is carbs, the rest is protein, healthy fats and fruits/veggies. I do use an app to keep track, but only to make sure that I eat enough and I get enough macro nutrients in my diet. I waisted all my middle school and HS days(11 to 17) focusing on what the scale said, starving myself and stressing to fit into a size 0/2. Spoiler alert: my body was not meant to be that small, I am naturally muscular and larger chested/hips/tights. A size 4/6 on me is small. I stay a 6/8 now that I'm in my mid 30s and have had a child, and I'm not starting and miserable all the time. I'm sure it isn't easy growing up in the Instagram/tik tok world now, but judt remember that your body has to last you for a long time, so be good to it. I messed my teeth up btwn not eating properly and then getting cancer at 19. I've spent the last 5 years having teeth removed, root canaled, crowned, filled and now I'm looking into getting partial dentures until I hsve to hsve them all removed and have implants(which will coat about $20k). No one told me about all the horrible long term effects of starving yourself. I hope you doend a little time and look into the long term effects, and see that it isn't worth it. The inky thing that got me to stop was meeting other girls who had completely ruined their bodies permanently. An ED took up so much of my life and time that I wish I coukd get bsck. I don't hsve any pictures of myself from 14 to 20 and my mother only has a few, because I though I was so fat I couldn't stand to have them taken. Not even prom or senior pics! I got some head shots done for my mom but that was it. I'm not trying to scare you, just trying to have you see a little bit of the other side. I don't know you, but I know I want you to be happy with you. I wish you the best in life! I hope everyday is a good day, full of happiness! Too many people are unhappy and it makes the world a darker, sadder, scarier place. I hope you can be one of the people who try to be happy everyday. I try everyday, I don't always succeed, but I try my best.

@@funsizedi88 First let me say I appreciate your comment very much and reading it was very helpful and eye opening. I am very sorry to hear about all of your struggles but am thankful you are in a better place mentally! You are a very wise and compassionate person, especially for sharing your story to uplift others and help them avoid some of the hardships you went through. I am trying hard not to let my weight be such a primary focus in my life. You’re so right about all of it, it’s not worth it. Mentally or physically. None of what you said sounded crazy at all!

Watching you has helped me a lot. Espically when you were talking about how everyone has different body structures. That has been the biggest problem for me since I was young. I would watch those videos about how people did this and that and got certain results in this amount of time, and that has damaged my self esttem and mental health. That is one of the reasons that after all these years of still trying to get my body goals, I still give up after a few months of working out. I've got better and have to remind myself that I'm me and they're them, and we're all different and beautiful in our own way.

7:50 it is so sad to hear that diet culture still exists. all these ‘influencers’ should’ve been banned a long time ago.

Diet itself it's not bad, it is bad when is perform by people with insufficient knowledge. Diet isn't bad, people are.

Thank you Stephanie for making this video! You really helped me today! I know that this isn’t healthy but if I stay to log on social media I forgett it/ ignore it and start struggling extremely with my body and with eating. So it really helps when you’re making videos like this.

I am happy your video came my way this morning. Thank you. I've been working out this past month, "consistently" and I felt so bad this morning because even though I did get up and go to the gym (5am) I was upset with myself because I enjoyed eating pizza last night. Thank you for reminding me that it's ok as long as I am moving I am on the right track. ❤

I’m so grateful for these videos honestly! I live with eating disorders and a very distorted body image and these videos help me see things more clearly. I am so used to feeling guilty for eating as much as my body asks, thinking it’s too much and blaming myself for overeating.
This series of videos is so helpful for me and my body image. I salute you for it, thank you so much!!!!
