Yes! I grew up around 2nd gen Cummins trucks, but when I could, I bought a LMM. That was 09 and I still own today, along with a 6.7 Cummins dually. Can’t wait for duramax content
Cheap to do.use the xotic studs, and obviously new valve seals and resurface the heads. Sometimes they have to cut a lot off and have to recess the valves, but get a wc fab y bridge and a lml driver side manifold and lb7 pass side up pipe while it’s apart. And ditch the coolant pipe that goes from the turbo to the oil cooler and use the dhd t and convert it to the style the lbz uses and you know lol but a danville 68 and some 100 over nozzles and a dual fueler kit and a trans
If you got a awesome deal on it and know how to fix it your self, just keep it. That way you know what you got.
I picked up a 2006 GMC Sierra SLT loaded leather seats has a 6.6 Duramax LLY 365.000km I was told the head gaskets were gone to my surprise it was actually the drivers side exhaust bracket that was broken and the exhaust fumes were going into the cab. I was lucky no blow by but the frame was good and the rocker panels and cab corners needed to be replaced the truck runs amazing well needed basic maintenance but very happy with it.

I have the exact to the t truck had it for a year so far. it's my dream truck so close to getting the full delete delete I want to do myself. Smooth truck pain in the butt at times but well worth the headache. It will rust in my yard before it leaves
Same thing happened to me. 2011 LML with bad head gaskets. It's my first diesel so it wasn't a great start. You can't go wrong with keeping it and doing what you want or selling to Josh. Good thing about you keeping it is that you learn and get a bigger viewing base to follow this build. Good luck, hope to see the truck getting worked on soon.
I would fix the truck . Because you can do it yourself. You are in love with it. I brought a 2009 duramax in June. I have put new glow plugs, clearance lights and new batteries. It was a southern truck and rust free. We have put a spray on bed liner, undercoating and a topper on it. If you love the truck keep it, because the next one could be worst than the one you have.
Just bought a 2011 lml LTZ.. clean as a whistle black and chrome all over.. black leather interior.. everything.. found out it had a blown head gasket a few days ago.
I found your channel through Truck Master. That is a nice truck I hate to see that the head gaskets are bad. But would be a good time to do some upgrades to it an never have to worry about it again. It would be a video i would definitely watch.
It wasn’t the heads it was a clogged radiator
I actually went through the same thing I spent $27,900 on a 2013 lml Ltz and on the way home found out the head gaskets were bad and the dealer I bought it from said they never had any issues and stopped messaging me. Hopefully all goes well and thinking about doing the gaskets myself and a good detailed video would be greatly appreciated!
Hey man I have a question on the crankshaft pulley, it has a mark to put the cp3 in time if you could teach me or put some specification because I want to assemble everything and I do not want to remove the distribution cover and if I have no alternative I have to do it and sorry for bothering but since I'm new to diesel
Damn sure thing the seller was aware of the head gasket issue! He should at least give you back the cost of the parts to repair or you bust him out on the channel! Keep the truck because your video of the stud and gasket job will be the best on youtube. Thanks for putting out such great content.

Hey sorry to hear the head gaskets are gone. But if you want to keep that truck rust free undercoat it. 150-200 bucks every other year will save you so much down the road
Fix it! I have same truck, but a 07.5 red CCLB 3500hd, may be doing the same thing eventually, so the content would be much help for me personally ! Haha
I'd keep it, replace the head gaskets, and stud it. But that's me.
i just bought an 03 duramax and it drove fine i bought it and drove it back home to indiana about 1:30, then started blowing coolant out the overflow and now i can’t go a couple minutes without starting it and coolant comes out. i messaged the guy and he ended up blocking me so im taking a big loss that i can’t pay for… its definitely blown headgaskets
About to by an 07 lmm. Appears to be deleted has 213k. They want $13,5k is the price. Is this a good deal? What should I look for as issues when buying. This is my first full size truck ever and I would really appreciate any productive and helpful advice. Thank you to anyone whose responding.

I have a 2007.5 LMM Sierra with 98k. I’m in Maryland. It’s pretty much a “city truck”. What do you think it’s worth. It’s just as clean and no issues
In Indiana it would pull 20K-30K

Why didn’t you check that before you bought it?That’s like checking the engine oil level 🤷♂️Well my LLY didn’t blow a head gasket until 340k miles so i studded it at the same time & kept all the same ppe tunes on it-keep it & fix it-takes 4days by yourself moving slow & you will know your truck like you know your wife👍🏼

because I have a low fuel code and the truth is that the truck can hear the engine well but some say that it has two pumps, the truth is I don't know and I think it does not inject diesel

Blue devil head gasket fix. Try it, nothing to lose. I’d prefer new gaskets but for a personal truck with some miles I’d try blue devil HG repair.
