@@nikhilkoganti I’ve switched from Note10 to iPhone 13 Pro, and let me tell me what drove me nut
      - on second incoming call, iPhone keep vibrating and beeping all during your conversation, no way to calm that down, with a Samsun you calm that down by clicking on volume, the second call stays in background in mute mode
      - you paste a phone number on call keypad and there is no way you can modify it or delete a number, you have to paste it somewhere do your edit copy and paste again on keypad.
      - switching SIM cards : I use 2 SIM card, in Samsung you can modify where data is consumed with 2 touch. With iPhone you have to go through different menus
      - controlling volumes : with Samsung you can control your volumes for call, alarm, media… with iPhone you can’t, the volume you set works for everything
      - WhatsApp calls logs integrated with phone logs
      - gboard is more intuitive and easy to use in Android
      - and many more options that you are used to in android you won’t find them on iPhone.
This is why I am waiting for my S23+

But as someone who doesn't particularly use the ecosystem (windows pc, android phone, mac laptop) I decided that sticking to an android was the way to go. And holy cow AMOLED 120hz refresh rate is amazing, it is hard to tell the difference with my 165hz refresh rate monitor. And as a fingerprint biometric lover, the ulrasonic scanner is pressing my nerd buttons.

By the way the warning at 2:35 is not needed. The microphone is rotated 90° from the hole, as if there was a little L inside, so inserting something in there won't actually break anything, not even the waterproofing. I had the option to go either way with my replacement, but chose to stick with what I'm familiar with (I am sure that is somewhat a deciding factor for most people) It also helps that I already have everything setup on my Samsung account so everything was pretty painless transitioning process between upgrading phones.

I have been trying to switch to iOS for quite some time but the inflexibility of the iOS kept me coming back to Samsung (android). I also do not get why the tech youtubers claim that iPhone is camera king. In my experience, Samsung is leagues ahead. To give you some context, I am still rocking a S9 from 2018, since then, my GF (now wife) and friends have had iPhone X, Pixel 3, iPhoneXS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, OnePlus 8Pro, iPhone 13. I mean these are the phones we have compared our photos with. TBH, unanimously almost 90% of the time everybody prefers photos clicked with S9m even the guy who is an apple fan and rocks an iPhone13. I am not saying S9 doesn't have faults, the battery life is not good, not the fastest phone (damn you Exynos version) but there's something about the curved display and the feel of the touch (my wife has iPhone 13 now and I don't know why the screen feels more plasticky compared to S9). Not to forget, the screen is the best I have ever seen, even better than the new Samsungs, it is a QuadHD+ screen with blacks so deep, I can't find the bezels in room conditions. Sorry too much rambling.

I think the comparison should be between s23 and 14 pro. Otherwise it is a no brainer. S23 has better camera than the 14 overall. Even the 8k 30fps is very good and useable, unlike the 8k 24 fps on other phones. The Snapdragon 8gen 2 with a bit overclock for the samsung is an efficient monster. I have watched the most objective battery test from Phonearena and I would say that the s23 battery is on par. Maybe you can get 15-20min more on average with the iphone, but it is a very small difference to even discuss. Especially when nowadays you have fast charging. The display is also a lot better and I was the guy who thought 120hz is a bit overkill and not needed, but I am coming from SE2020 and jesus, the difference is huge. Its worth mentioning that the s23 even has adaptive Hz, so you save battery. It is very good build quality. I think the Pro versions of iphone have the best build quality in terms of feel, but s23 is right behind. And when you put a case, you can't notice. This is why s23 should be compared to 14pro in terms of features. If we get to the price point, then s23 even wins against 14 pro. I was able to take mine on the preorder deal from a mobile operator for 650$ for the bigger 256GB with ufs 4.0. And ufs 4.0 is a lot faster than Nvme. So if you think about the advantages that ios had over android over the years, they are gone. UFS 4.0 > Nvme, Camera is better in android , you get 4 main versions and 5 years security patches in terms of software support. The perfomance and efficiecny of the Snapdragon is right there with the a16. In terms of games, it is even better. The only reason you would get an iphone nowadays is for the Ecosystem. I don't see any other real advantage.

I've got the S23 Ultra (256GB/12GB) and a gift (Buds Pro 2) for 1049$, I have had S10+ since 1/3/2019 preordered it, and I got (A galaxy watch + duel wireless fast charger + 10000 mAh power bank) as a preorder bonus and still using them to this moment, the Ultra will be my primary phone for the next 5 years. Samsung respects its customers.

I currently have a S21 and up for an upgrade this summer. Which ever phone I can get a better deal on I'll get. I would have to say I favour Samsung but I have a galaxy tab S7+ so I'd have the best of both worlds as I enjoy each OS

Never understood the whole preference on face id, when with the ultra you get face and finger not having to look at anything, using a face/iris scanner always felt like too much work and intrusive. The ultra offers more in every aspect but you're right if function and price doesn't matter then an assessment is bad news. I think after the 22u people will began to stop upgrading every year, Apple set the market, samsung set the standard, and now its up to us to fine tune both.

Face ID on the iPhone is fantastic. The second your eyes look at the screen it unlocks 95% of the time my iPhone will unlock before I even notice it’s unlocked, if you don’t look at the phone and are looking even half an inch beside it then it won’t unlock. It’s the only thing I prefer on the iPhone and I actually genuinely miss on my iPhone.

Samsung is just more fun tho, more options and not as limited in terms of personalizing the phone. And the camera on almost any modern Samsung puts my iPhone to shame.

I wish they would just give the Pro a decent telephoto and i'd be sorted. The S23 to me seems more competitive with the current pro judging by the camera system - not sure about anything else.

Just an FYI: You can't hurt your mic if you stick your tool in the wrong hole. The engineers have tought of this mishap beforehand, and placed the mic off the side on the inside, you can't poke it. :)

It's 2024 and m still using a S22+, everything apart from performance is flagship level. But the newer S23 doesn't have that problem. Soon gonna look at S24 and decide should I upgrade or not.
    Anyways happy new year 🎊

Been waiting to buy a full ecosystem set, and have been torn between going apple or going android. Im using an android now but have used an Iphone before and I loved it, something about the feel of the software and the device is so alluring, but I realized that allure isnt so much in practicality, its in polish. Apple is the better looking device and feels better in the hand, but ultimately android and windows together do so much more. the biggest deciding point for me is Macbook compared to the new Samsung laptop. youll spend 2000dollars for a Macbook and cant do more than basically work and content creation, whereas with the samsung galaxy book particularly the Ultra, you can actually game, and have all the power to do professional grade video editing and document creation, which is great because I do game on very selective titles, like the new Resident Evil 4 emake and the dead sace remake and a few of the top games, in short im not a hardcore gamer but I have been a lifelong gamer and enjoy really good quality games, on top of the other work that I do, and having a laptop that can handle all that is a no brainer.

By the way, I want to point out that the ultra-sonic fingerprint is actively better since you can use it any senior compete to face where you can't wear a mask, and ultrasonic fingerprint can be used even when your phone screen is off you don't have to wake the screen to launch your phone

You're the reason why I upgraded from my iPhone 12 Pro Max to the Samsung Galaxy S23, it's faster, better display, much more portable, better comfort. I don't have any regrets.

I mean you still need to swipe the screen up after logging in with face id. It's just similar effort with touching your thumb on the screen

To be honest, any one of those will probably be enough to make you happy. If not, then the issue runs deeper than mere incremental specs... It becomes more about not knowing what to want in life, rather than an optimization problem...

I am due an upgrade very soon and I am totally torn on whether to switch to the Samsung S23 or stick with Apple. In my country Apple jacked up the prices so the base iPhone 14 is way overpriced at $250 at $70/month for 2 years. That's insane for what is a marginally better iPhone 13 with a different name. Samsung S23 is $100 cheaper. It just seems that the Samsung S23 is better value for what is offers over a barely changed iPhone 14. I have been with iPhone now for years and don't particularly fancy going to Android.

In the end I ended up taking a risk and got the S23. I am really happy I did. It is an amazing device. The display is so bright, clear and buttery smooth. The battery life is simply outstanding. Such a wonderful phone for the price. My main concern was Android but having used it now for over 2 weeks I can say it is not a concern now. Android has definitely improved a lot since I last used it.

My main thing is having the dedicated back button on a Galaxy. I currently have a S21 (upgraded from S8). Background: I grew up with Samsung phones. My first phone was the Samsung T429. Then the Gravity 3. TMobile MyTouch. I never owned an iPhone. My aversion to iPhones started with the easily cracked screens era. Fast-forward, I'm a graphic designer with a 2021 MacBook Pro and will always preach Mac laptops regardless of profession but I just do not like iPhones and no I dnt care abt FaceTime and iMessage ecosystem. I dont care abt the blue/green drama. I love the interface on Galaxy more than iPhone. I like to manually pay with my credit cards, not my phone. I've always been sort of hybrid.
Granted, I don't embrace a lot of great features on any of the devices (I never use Siri or Google voice, multi-tasking, etc) but my most minimal usage peace of mind has always been with Samsung. Also yes, Samsung Galaxy phones are just more beautiful and reliable design-wise and durability-wise to me.
LongBeachGriffy was right that the typical person getting an iPhone is only getting an iPhone...because it's an iPhone. Apple is King overall, yes. But that doesn't mean the common man will always agree with his ways.

They are both very similar but I have to go with the s23 for the display. I recently got an s21 fe and 60hz feels slow and choppy now.
