- After over a year of promises, I finally have an anitube video out. Carole & Tuesday is a show that has been on my mind since I watched it back in 2019, for better and especially for worse. I may find the work to be shallow and woefully insufficient in tackling the themes and real world conflicts it wishes to discuss, but damn did it give me some stuff to talk about.

Ok, so there is an error at 9:23 where I accidentally repeated a text commentary from earlier when I meant to put "ok culture is generous, bordering on lies, this show hardly features any culture. I am so mad but I don't wanna reupload to fix that. This vid was a bit rushed as I wanted to finally get this damn thing out so I can start working on other projects for the channel.
Anyways, thanks for watching, and I promise the next video won't take nearly as long to get out. Hopefully I can get these out every 1-2 months.

Thanks! I know the next vid will be more of an intermission or transition video, focusing on understanding perspectives, and I'll use it to bridge the gap to a video defending Fate/Extra Last Encore while also explaining why it has its undeservedly low rep in the first place.
Hopefully I can get both of those out within the next 3 or so months.

Thanks! I def had fun (and a little bit of frustration) trying to make each and every track have some remote relevance to some aspect of the series. The "I Love Music" one was my absolute favorite to work with, all things considered tho.
A fun watch for a debut video - makes me not want to watch C&T. Can't wait for the day you'll upload a Fate/Extra Last: Encore video. It's gonna go down in history.

Genuinely good look at what makes this show so shallow. It makes me feel like it was meant to be an America's Got Talent sort of narrative in a way, where you have all these little inspirational kind of characters and motivations, but ultimately, it doesn't matter who wins as most will be forgotten anyway.
It bugs me when peope praise this show for talking about societal issues when, really, it only just briefly acknowledges a wide bunch of things without elaborating all that much. The music's okay though I suppose, a couple of the songs are earworms. Even my brother who hasn't seen any part of this show other than the Mermaid Sisters clip memes that one back to me sometimes.
As for your editing work, it's really well done. It's very apparent this one has been in the oven for a while. I especially love the lot of editing shorthands, especially those outside of anime references (hello there YMS). Good job!

Yeah, the show often does a surface level at best look at what it wants to extensively comment on in terms of hot-button issues or anything in general. It's ultimately pretty vapid and misguided, even boorish.

It pains to see how Carole and Tuesday turned out to be a colossal disappointment for me.
It is frankly one of the most disappointing show's I've seen from the late 2010s.

Megalo Box does fantastic job utulizing the subject of immigration. It may not give huge societal answers to these problems, but they do present them in a way that is believable, furthers the story and enhances the themes.
Good to hear. I didn't care for S1 all that much but I might get around to Nomad at some point.

i like alot of things in carole and tuseday but it is one of the most aggressively neo libral anime ive ever seen. least art is real nice.
Yea it's very much a twitter liberal type anime, trying desperately to be inclisive and act knowledgeable while fumbling the ball at both to varying degrees. It looks relatively good and I did like some of the side-stories, I just wish I found much good to say about any of the main stuff.
