- Today we take a look at this amazing CZ and compare it to the CZ Shadow 2 and the 75 SP-01 Phantom. The Target II is a competition-ready Pre-B style SP-01 Shadow, featuring a CZ Custom trigger job with the new short reset single-action trigger, fully-adjustable rear sight, fiber optic front sight, stainless steel guide rod, lighter springs for competition (11 lb recoil and 13 lb main springs), extended magazine release, drop-free magazines and checkered aluminum grips. Created by champion shooter Angus Hobdell’s CZ Custom Shop to have trigger pulls of 3.0-4.0 lbs in SA and 7.5-8.5 lbs in DA. Thanks for watching!

This is a great review! I have this custom pistol and I love it. I put the standard rubber grips from the CZ shop on and it’s my favorite gun, the smooth action is second to none, I’m so glad I got one, it will stay in the family forever. And again great review, I’ve never been able to find any good reviews, idk why this hasn’t popped up sooner due to the amount of research I do on CZcams. But it’s the best review I’ve found by far. I really love th dainty look of the standard trigger . delicate an sensitive as opposed to allot of other trigger configurations..really good

Love my SP01 (I put the 85 Combat trigger in mine, LOK palm-swell grips and changed the main/recoil springs to a 12#/15# combo I believe) would LOVE to have a Shadow Target. Awesome review.

Your right about the grips getting hot, but this gun can be carried safely in DA.
I live relatively close to CZ Custom and just picked one up last night. Can’t wait to take it to the range! I might use it for home defense after it proves reliable since it has a rail.

I was lucky enough to find one of these used at Sportsmans Warehouse and I don't believe they knew what they had because the price was $950 and it looked unused. Actually I also had no idea what it was, but I tried the trigger and knew something was special about it. I also noticed the CZ Custom stamp on the right side so I bought it.

Are the grips and the grip frame of the gun different from the regular Shadow 2? In the video it almost looks like they are different profiles.
+Simpson Rd Larry - good eye, yes they are. The grip geometry of the SP01 Target 2 is different. It allows for a more natural hold of the pistol and your hand can go deeper and higher into the grip.
What's the difference between the shadow target 2 and the accu shadow?
Back in Christmas, I had received a CZ-75 Shadow 2 Blue, and when I picked it up it melted into my hand like shaking hands with an old friend. I prefer the Shadow 2 ergonomics (with the extended safety) over the SP-01 Shadow but not by a gigantic amount. The trigger on the Shadow 1 Target 2 however did make me incredibly jealous, so I decided to order a Cajun Gun Works Pro-Package for my S2 with the T5 disconnector, CZ Custom hammer, and a polished hammer strut to go with a reduced power trigger return spring, 13lbs mainspring, and 11lbs recoil spring.
After matching my Shadow 2 to the SP-01 Shadow 1 Target 2’s trigger specs (different custom shop parts), I have to say that I agree..
That trigger is THE best trigger I’ve ever felt my entire life… The pre-travel is almost non existent, the trigger poundage is perfect, the double action is like butter smooth, and the reset is 1911 short… CZ Custom and Cajun Gun Works make phenomenal parts to turn already decent pistols into the Top 5 of all time maybe!

I recently bought a p10c. Now I want this too. Any difference between this gun and the CZ 75 sp-01 shadow?

Can anyone give some suggestions for the shadow target ii model please? I have been having a hard time finding a good fit. I do also use Safariland els belt but willing to switch my rig belt out if needed. Appreciate any help or suggestions for some holster options.

beautiful ergonomics,design an style....understated...flashy firearms don't do it for me.....ive been researching for sumtime now for my 1st time acquisition,an I'm constantly drawn to thr CZ RANGE......as a newby to sidearms I'm impressed ,even with my limited knowledge al, lack of expertise an experience....im hoping with advice from methods. Can make a good choice for my 1st aquisition...obviously i wld hope to make a purchase that is a lifetime investment......

Is it considerably better than the Shadow 2 ?
The word considerably can have different meanings to different people. But I can tell you that for me, I am sure he shooting it better than the S2. Thank you for watching.

My Shadow 2 came with the large safety and the normal flush FIT safety yes the Shadow 2 weighs 46 Oz compared to spo1 Shadow Target 2 at 41 Oz

Lovely firearm amazing firearm yet the Phillips screw head on the grip is a truly horrendous aesthetic blunder however small....😢
Non of those SP01's have original grips
1600 bucks and the grips don't fit right, those are clearly grips for a CZ 75b frame not the spo1 frame.
