    I use alcohol to clean all parts other than the barrel. Hoppes #9 for the barrel. Once the gun is clean, I lubricate with a high quality gun oil. Breakfree CLP and Ballistol are my other go to options when I’m feeling lazy. Otherwise, it’s alcohol and Hoppes to get the gun spotless.

    I noticed that the barrel moves quite a bit when racking the slide on mine. It is like the barrel drops down some and then when the slick moves forward it picks the barrel up and aligns is correctly.

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  Před 2 lety +6

      That is normal as the barrel is designed to tilt and lose tension as you pull the slide back and then re tenses when you release. This design assists with spent case extraction.

    I prefer a stainless guide rode over the polymer ones. It makes a big difference on the performance.

      I have upgraded on some of my other pistols and I have noticed the gun functioning with way less slop and going much better into battery with authority.

    Quick question. I bout one of these guns brand new and there’s a brownish hue on some parts inside the slide. My first thought was rust. I was like how? It’s never even been wet. I have taken it into bathroom when showering but it was wrapped in a towel for steam. Is that some kind of coating out there by CZ, or could it be rust? I’ve read it’s some kind of phosphate coating. How could it be rust? It has to be there by CZ. What are your thoughts?

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  Před 6 měsíci

      You don’t alway get the same uniform coating under the slide that you do on the outside but you may want to send some photos to CZ to be sure it isn’t some type of manufacturing defect.

  • @Bujienla
    @Bujienla Před 2 lety +6

    Thanks for the detailed process. But, my god, might as well dip your gun in oil. Why are you oiling the outside including the handle?

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  Před 2 lety

      I went over the outside with a dry patch Ad soaked up all of the excess. I don’t even remember wiping off the grips but it I did it was optional.

    safety version must have Hammer all the way back for safety to engage. Also on the safety is engaged it also disables the slide so you won't be able to disassemble your gun
