  • CZ-75 Compact 9x19 - How To Clean And Lubricate
At 5″ tall with a barrel length of just under 4″, the Compact model shaves a little more than 3/4″ off the length and about 1/2″ off the height of the full-size CZ 75. Its reduced size allows it to readily disappear under regular clothing. The CZ 75 DA/SA action with a manual safety lever provides the user with two options for carry: hammer-back with the safety on for single action operation or manually decocked for a double action first shot with no need to remember to take off the safety before firing. Because the 75 Compact retains the steel frame of the original 75, only 2.4 oz of weight is lost, making it the softest-shooting compact in the CZ 75 line.
    Cleaning:
Best way to clean your gun FOR SHOOTING NOT FOR STORE!!! is to use alcohol and degrease all parts. After 5 minutes you can use rag and toothbrush. When the weapon is clean, all carbon and dirt is removed, use a rag to apply a small layer of oil to the weapon and lightly run all the contact surfaces with a rag.
If you want to store the weapon in a safe for a longer period of time, for example for a week, you have to use much more oil. Too much oil in the mechanism causes dirt to accumulate.

That bluing is beautiful, and the slide rails look nice and shiny. I bet that pistol is smooth, like it's on ball bearings.

Did that firearm come stock with a steel guide rod ?!?!? If not, where did you find one ???

Late to the party, but did you do any polishing (or something) to the overall finish? Looks a LOT more shiny/slick than my new compact. Also thanks for the detailed vid!

Did you polish your barrel to make it stainless or did it come that way new? Mine has bluing but I would much rather have a stainless look. Also I appreciate the video. Balistol is my preferred cleaner and lube as well so this video was a big help.

It is the original barrel without modifications.

@@Guntuber Appreciate the quick response buddy. I am considering polishing mine but I do not want to mess it up. But your barrel is sexy. Might go ahead and risk it

Softer metals are fine. U should do passes. I think those little snakes are best. The ones u just pull thru in one motion.

Pretty much like my old Baby Eagle I once had, except pushing thru that slide release was a whole lot easier on the eagle. Maybe the CZ will get better with time. BTW, I like the background music. What is it?
