I hope this stream of logic makes sense, one of the symptoms difficulty voicing plans concepts or logic that makes perfect sense in your head. I'm not sure if I've properly done that here but I am having a lot of trouble finishing and staying organized within my projects and wide scope of my video subjects is reflecting that.

I don't rreally give a rats you know what about what youtube thinks I want to watch. I like your channel. You are a very good finish carpenter and detail it what it takes. As far as your medical issues TMI buddy, I don't judge people like that and don't think anyone else here does. You are who you are. I like your channel. I'm not a carpenter but I like doing my own work no matter what it is. I learn things from your videos. Currently I'm helping a neighbor building a house. His contractor needed help putting up tongue and groove on the ceiling and I'm learning by doing. If I knew you Id be going with you to the cabin to help and learn your craft. Take care. Don't change anything I like you the way you are. So does your wife.

Actually my husband ALSO has ADHD and Executive Dysfunction, and yeah, I can see you also having that. And as someone with Dyslexia, I can understand a learning disability seeming normal to the person that has it. Just like it seems normal to me to rearrange things in my head till they make sense. When you have problems you've lived with all your life, you learn coping skills.
And I watch everything you put up. Your tastes seem to be pretty compatible with mine, since even the LEAST interesting things you do are STILL worth watching. I find your shows interesting, informative, and entertaining. Just do you, and take us along for the ride, it'll be fine.

And if you skip a few weeks, well, life happens! I don’t rely on the algorithm to watch your channel - and I’ve been following you for a few years now. It’s your channel, do it how you want to.

    • @brianscott9749
      @brianscott9749 Před rokem +2

@@IceMan0003 - I hear you. I’ve had someone ask me if I was ADHD before because I start projects, stop them, move onto another one, come back to the earlier one. It’s not that I can’t focus, it’s that I need to give something more thought, so while I do that I work on something else to fill my time. I really don’t see it as an issue. Of course, this is for my personal projects, at work (where I get paid) I like to be as efficient as possible, finish the task at hand and move onto the next one.
I’m not a fan of labeling everything - no one is perfect, everyone is different. If we were all the same the world would be a very boring place indeed.

It really doesn't matter WHAT you're doing so much as HOW you do it. Your explanations, close up examinations of how you're doing it, and your amazing creativity. So if you're building a pond, we watch YOU do it YOUR way. And we LEARN from it. Again, Sharon and I just enjoy visiting you on CZcams and learning something new each time we do. Mike your tendency to jump from topic to topic as it all relates to your cabin, is actually what I like about this channel. You built your wood shop because you lost access to the shop you used to build beautiful items for our cabin, the pond is a long term project by its design, the apartment at the shop is part of that. These are the elements that I enjoy. You missi g a week to three, prevents video burnout.

The pond build really interests me in that I would love to see it how you've imagined it and to see you enjoying it. You have accomplished so much and have much to be proud of. I taught students with various learning disabilities in high school for twenty years. Over that time I learned that most students with any kind of function issue “worked twice as hard to get half as far.” You pretty much summarized this in your commentary this week. With that being said, it creates frustration in the worker, or student as you seek to accomplish a task. However, others who do not understand this generally do not value the work or effort that is required to perform the tasks. I am a subscriber and tip my hat to your work, skill and efforts. Keep up the great work.

There are ups and downs - failures and success. Life often interrupts. I was a teacher. We all learn differently - that’s not a disability, that’s just the way humans are made. You have accomplished a great deal and should be proud of your outcomes. Many people would not have the determination and skill to follow through with building a cabin or shop.

This is my favorite youtube channel, I wake up on weekends hoping to see a new upload.
I like your laid back personality and your normal cadence when speaking.
I appreciate that you don't use annoying timelapse footage.
The cabin is amazing, your quality of work is top notch.

You shouldn't care about what so-called experts say about you. We all have different gifts and talents. You certainly have very many and you are enjoyable to watch. Don't let CZcams mold you into something you're not. Your unpretentious, genuine manner appeals to the same kind of people and that's a good audience to have. The cabin looks great, and I am looking forward to the pond work and other landscaping you will do in the future. Thanks, Mike.

I love the walnut trim. It really pops with the light stained wood walls. Concerning your jumping from projects to projects, my wife can attest that I do the same thing except I don't have the attention to detail you have. I'm envious.

Hey Mike. Your story is my Story. I remember vividly hearing "you need to focus", "you have a problem with commitment", "why don't you finish anything", and ultimately "You'll never amount to anything". Half my life I lived under other peoples OPINIONS. Just consider......You have a wonderful Wife, You have property and have constructed a Dream Cabin people would die for not to mention your Insane Killer Creative skills and a Beautiful old building you are transforming!!!! I would bet that you ooze kindness, live a life helping others and see a bigger picture that many will never see. I get the downsides of living with challenges. Our personality types are creative, out of the box thinkers with a depth of compassion that many will never know. Just go with knowing we are "MANY". 81,000 Subscribers think you are awesome. Cheers my Friend. BTW, I go find your videos if I don't see one pop up.....Yeah, they are that good!

There is just a lot happening in the world at the moment brother, don't take it to heart, just do the things you enjoy doing, for those who appreciate your work and the satisfaction of helping someone out by sharing your accrued knowledge. We all don't have to agree on everything or be right all the time.

PLEASE Know - everytime I get a new vid alert - I see it. It makes NO difference what the subject is and makes no difference how it falls in line. I do not care about what issues you seems to be having - what's imprtant is that you are aware and make an effort to deal with it - that is progress and learning. I enjoy seeing the good quality work that you do - ALWAYS looks nice and well done. This is YOUR channel - do it like you can and want. I will always visit - you are nice, decent and it feels like visiting a good friend when I catch a vid. To me that is what matters You and vids bring enjoyment to an old man at 73Y.

I think the reason I enjoy l your channel is because you function like most adults. We rarely have time (or inclination) start a project and only work on that one project until it is finished. I think i have 7 different projects in my shop that are in various stages of completion. You keep doing you. BTW, your measurement skills are top notch 😂

If you're into CZcams for the money, than where CZcams puts you in the exposure category will matter to a greater extent. However, if you're making content because you think others will enjoy it, maybe learn something, and because you like sharing your life with others, than it shouldn't mater what CZcams does. I am reminded of the quote... "if you build it, they will come". If folks like your content, they will find you !
