Micro Apartment Build Out in a Work/Live Mixed Use Building - In this video I work on a tiny apartment in our mixed use building. I install the frameless shaker maple cabinets I built in the last video. I use a template to make and install some window trim above a knee wall. We also install the Corian solid surface countertops.

I put shelves in my base cabinets well actually I installed drawers with soft close slides. My wife loved them and it really gives you more usable space.

Mike, in 1983 I purchased a strip mall shopping center. Part of the second floor was four two-bedroom apartments. Commercial leases are handled by my attorney, I put together apartment leases that as I call bulletproof. Basically, apartment leases are telling the tenants just how they will live by my rules. If you want a copy of the apartment lease I would be happy to email you one. I sold that property in 2014 prior to retiring to South Florida,

Beautiful!! you forgot the shelves because you were meant to put Pull Out Shelves in there 😉 just very shallow drawers with sliders and it is easier to get to the stuff stored in the back. had them put in when i had a deep island built. loved them!!

Building pullout shelves are fantastic as it allows you to use all the available space without having to stand on your head to reach stuff in the back.

also i wanted to say that built in ovens are installed flush with the counter.. so no fillet on top.. this means no upper front detail between two sides of the cabinet and this makes many don't want to do it... but it looks much better and it doesn't matter if the sides are not connected in front.. you just leave a 3mm gap from the counter for air movement and all the doors should also have 3mm gap from the counter.. for esthetics also when the oven is up next to the counter you get best size drawer below it

As a guy whose harddrive is full i forget things all the time. I started using microsoft ToDo and its been awesome for keeping multiple projects and properties organized. You can set deadlines and recuring tasks on a schedule. Highly recommend as it integrates with outlook.
Oh nice I will have to check that out. I started to use an old school planner but I still have to force myself to check it and my lists.
