Can I Survive a Bike Park On My Canyon Stoic Hardtail??? // Little Switz Bike Park

- I took my SICK Canyon Stoic 2 hardtail to Little Switz Bike Park - my first downhill park ever! And it was the BEST DAY EVER! I SENT IT on some awesome and gnarly features and had a blast doing it!
My name's Tyler and I love mountain biking! I live in the Midwest United States (not typically known for great MTB riding) and I want people to know that us riders here in the Midwest are awesome too! We don't need huge downhill trails to have a good time! I just got a brand new 2021 Canyon Stoic 2, and this bike has got to be the best hardtail of the year! At least for the price. So I'd at least say the best budget-friendly hardtail of the year! I'm stoked to be able to share it with you guys. I'm also stoked to ride it this summer and let you guys know how it goes!
If you enjoyed this video free to like, comment, and subscribe. I really like making these videos and would be so pumped if the channel grew!
If you live in Southwest Michigan/Northwest Indiana (or really anywhere in the Midwest) let me know. I’d love to hear about any awesome mountain bike spots that you know of.
Cheers!
Tyler

Came on here to watch you video review of the Canyon Stoic 2 which in turn led me to this video and so glad I did. I just got my 2023 Stoic 2 this afternoon and for it being my first mountain bike I must say you got me pretty hyped and feeling I made a good purchase. I look forward to hitting the trails. Great videos
Hey man I'm watching you here from Belgium while waiting for my Stoic 4 to be delivered tomorrow and I must say, you're doing better and better with the bike and with the camera !! Nice to follow your evolution :-) If I could give you one piece of advice (don't take it bad, I'm not criticizing, just sharing my own experience), it would be to move more on the bike, be more flexible and less rigid, you'll feel more at ease to do your tricks :-) Keep up with the good job !!
Hey Eric! Thanks so much for watching and thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely try that! it’s something I know in my mind but it’s much harder to do when I’m actually flying off jumps and stuff! lol Cheers man! 👍
Waar besteld ?
Maar zeker wachten waard!
Zeer tevreden van.
How's the bike?
Siiiick riding. You made it look easy.
Awesome job! That stoic is so capable. Thanks for the Video!
Sick video by the way! I love little switz!
Thanks so much!! Yea it was AWESOME!! Can't wait to get back there.
Well done for 300 sub 🔥🎉
Thanks Emile!!!
Sick 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man!!! 🤙
Sick man
Thanks bro! 🤘
Thanks for the vid i had to subscribe it was so good. It helped me choosing if i should get a canyon or not.
Awesome! Thanks so much!! I’m glad it was helpful 👍
I had to watch this one a few times. It looks like you had a blast. Great job with the videos. Thanks to Brandon too for getting some of that footage for you. I drove by the park in Silver Lake yesterday and I was actually wondering if I could make it through any of the basic trails. Hmmm?!!??
Yea it was the best! I think I’m gonna drive out again on September 12th! Hopefully……. And yea I think you definitely could! There’s a couple of flat trails in there that you’d enjoy. You’d just need to take it slow the first time just to watch out for a couple of rough patches. Maybe we could go sometime 😁
Congrats man! it is interesting watching you growing on your techniques! i also realize your friend has the nukeproof scout, how does it compares to yours overall???
Thanks man! It’s hard to directly compare mine with his Scout since mines stock 29er and he’s got the Scout 275 that he built custom from the ground up. But yea it’s a sick bike! I love my Stoic but I’m be equally happy to have the Scout.
@@MidwestMountainBike Wow! So that's how different they ride! Thank you very much!!!
Congrats for 300 subs!
Thanks bro!!
Are you going to little swiss next weekend? Hope to see you out there!!!
🔥🔥🔥, greeting from Chile!!
Keep pushing!!
Greetings from Indiana, US man! Thanks for watching!!
awesome stuff! you just gained a new subscriber
Thanks so much!! Welcome to the channel! 🤙
Wow! 😮That was so inspiring dude.
I crashed on the Gauntlet on the step down. Gotta have my revenge once I recover
Haha thanks man! I was pretty nervous about that one too. But I finally worked up to it. I’m sure you’ll nail it next time! 🤘
That place looks awesome!
It was! It reaaaaally was!!
I only have hardtails and ride there all time and have blast 160 mm on commencal meta no problems ever keep up good job 👍
That’s sick dude! I was definitely looking at the Meta too. I ended up getting the Stoic because I could get it sooner, but I would have been stoked either way. Hardtails are the best!
👌
siiiicckkk!!! 300 up! up! up! up!
Oh yea!!! 🤘 Thanks Roger!
Dang you hit all the stuff on black and blue I noped out on! Nice one.
Haha thanks! Yea I was definitely a bit nervous, especially on the big drop! But I finally sent that one tight at the end of the day! 🤙 I’m sure you could hit those to if you just set your mind on it! Thanks for watching!
I just had a super similar experience on my Santa Cruz Chameleon at Spirit Mountain for my first ever downhill bike park day. Totally addicted and need to get a gravity bike now and go see what the other DH parks in Minnesota and Wisconsin have to offer.
That’s awesome man! Yep I’m addicted too. I’m heading back out to this place in September. Wish it could be sooner! haha
9:10 ...Huck yeah!
Haha thanks bro! 🤘
uffff 💥💪
Nice video and sick skills
Thanks bro! 🤙
@@MidwestMountainBike i recently found your Channel and you are a freaking legend
Best video and edit bro! I would like to go back and I think I could hit some things I didn’t last time!
Thanks bro! Let’s do it!! Yea you definitely could and I want to try some more stuff too!
So much fun to watch you two!
I am here before you hit 1 million
Haha for sure! here before I even hit 1,000! lol 🤣 Thanks for watching!!
How did the 2 pot brakes hold up at the park?
Just ordered a Stoic 4 and was a bit skeptical but watching this is looks like it can take a beating :-). How are the Alexrims holding up for you?
I’ve had no issues whatsoever 👍 I set mine up tubeless so I can run lower pressures. Maybe that helps, but yea the rims, and the bike in general has been great!
I rode every feature there on my Nukeproof Scout before upgrading to full sus!!
Have you been to Heritage Trails? I'm trying to find some good trails in WI.
Greets from nl amazing progression
Hey Mark! Thanks man!
Your brother also running a Stoic? More of a gravel rider these days, but looking for a dedicated "park" bike. And Little Switz is the closest park. Used gravel bikes at parks on the green lines. Stoic 2 + Dropper looks a good option to hit the blue lines as well. Temptation is definitely there for the Stoic 4 though. Tempted by the brakes.
He’s got a Nukeproof Scout which is also a great bike. his is the 27.5” version though. Yea I love the Stoic 2, it’s the best I could afford and I’ve been super happy with it. I’m sure the Stoic 4 would be sick too!
Rip Little Switzerland

What's the wall mount for your bike?
It's a Vibrelli Bike Wall Mount: amzn.to/3uuPUJD
It's really nice, I like it a lot!
