In 2019, I wasn't too much of an MLB fan (though I played baseball). I looked at the standings one day and it was like the day before the playoffs started. My dad is from Virginia, so he kinda roots for the Nationals. I told him that the Nats made the playoffs. I watched them make their way through the playoffs, and they they swept the Cardinals in the NLCS. I knew the Nationals had never made the World Series before, but I thought they were the ONLY one. They won the World Series, and I search every team's World Series record. I saw the Mariners were "0-0". I honestly didn't know the Seattle Mariners existed before I saw that. So that's how I figured out the Mariners existed and how I figured out that there's STILL a team to never make the World Series.

I live in Seattle and was 4 when the Mariners had their 116win season. Trying to support this ball club is a futile effort which won't end well. Year after year after year after year after year it's painful as management wastes talent, trade prospects that thrive at other teams. We do this process where rebuild and then throw money at premier talent and still we can't do anything. At the start of this decade I have no expectations that the Mariners will be successful and if they are near a spot to reach the playoffs they will likely choke, optimism and hope is a dangerous trait for a Mariner fan to have. I have lived through and remember going to games during the bavasi zdurencik era. I saw Griffey hit his 630HR. Seeing Ichiro being traded to the Yankees was sacreligious, it was painful to watch the King Felix Hernandez succumb to injuries after years of pitching. The Mariners are a team that can't have nice things. At this rate I have stopped going to games and just know that if you have ANY expectations on the Mariners, you will be let down and disappointed many times. Thank God I'm a Sounder fan and know what winning actually feels like.

@MetalCrow448 I said hes the greatest imo u cant argue opinions cuz with all the players u named we just looked at stats and some rare clips with griffey there was more exposure to the eye test and way more clips to see how he actually played

Ken Griffey Jr, the most wasted career in mlb history 630 Homers 0 World Series appearances traded to Cincy
Edgar Martinez, 400+ career homers Hall of Famer saved the franchise
Ichiro, 3000 hits in a very short time first Asian player in Hall Of Fame once he is put on the ballet
Felix Hernandez, never pitched in a playoff game
ARod, 600 Homers and was a great player with the marineers before he left
Randy Johnson, Hall of Fame pitcher traded to Houston won a World Series with Arizona
Jay Buhner 300+ Homers Hall of Famer
A bunch of traded players who were all stars/ Hall of Famers (David Ortiz, Omar Vizquel, Adam Jones, and a whole lot more)
The Mariners have wasted so much talent it’s not even funny

If you want dedication in fans just look at cubs fans. 108 years before winning a championship. A whole generation lived and died never seeing the team go to the world series.

I can attest that being a Mariners fan is torture. The worst part is wasting so much hall of fame talent. I really feel for players like Griffey, Martinez, Ichiro, and Felix who wanted to win but the organization is so inept that it couldn't do anything but squander their talent.
