The issue with HK is that they were supposed to be quasi-independent for 50 years after the British returned the city to China. The CCP started it by passing a law enabling extraditions from HK back to mainland China, since that they've really laid the smackdown with "national security" laws essentially ending Hong Kongers civil rights. That and the CCP puts minorities in concentration camps, harvest their organs and make a killing on the international market.

As a guy who lives in Houston, Texas, this is very accurate. The only sliver of hope we had up until now was the Houston Roughnecks and the covid-19 bullshit basically messed it all up because they were about to take up the mantle as Houston's best football team. Although I will say this, the Astros won a little bit of our respect on their playoff run before they lost the Tampa Bay and Game Seven. As much as I hate to say it, they will be back.
Houston Dynamo also managed to finish bottom of the MLS Western Division with only Cincinatti in the MLS East having a worse record!

I grew up in Indiana and lived in Houston for two years. Not saying our sports market is awesome, but what a... different market that is. Who knows how many rockets fans there are cause they don’t let them buy tickets in the lower sections. It’s all for corporate heads.
They aren’t fans, their just their for the sake of being at a thing. That leaves what you what you can see and hear on TV seemingly 90% empty. It’s sad
It’s sad that the Houston name is being tarnished by the scandal and just by having bad teams. The best thing that happened in 2020 was the Houston Dash (a women’s soccer team) winning the NWSL challenge cup, yet everyone tends to focus on the negatives of the Astros, Rockets, and Texans.
And plus the dynamo aren’t that important in the long run, I’m betting..

TBF The Texans have had an absolutely horrible schedule this season...They've only played 3 teams with records below 500.
They've beaten the Jags twice and the Patriots and they lost to the Vikings who also had a horrible schedule to start the season.
The rest of their games have been vs the Steelers, the Ravens, the Titans, the Browns, The Packers and the Chiefs!!!
And they still have to play the Titans again and the Colts twice!
They should beat the Bengals and they do have two more winnable games coming up against the Lions and the Bears but if they manage to get even to 7-9 for the season it will be a miracle!

As an Angeleno [from Los Angeles, of course], this is what they get when they sold their soul for a measily World Series Championship in 2017, and what's making every baseball fan still hopping mad is that unlike the eight men banned from ever qualifying for the Hall of Fame [not to mention, the cheapskate of an owner has since been in because corruption], players who were or still on the Astros during the 2017 season & postseason have gotten away virtually unscathed, including Justin Verlander!!!! I wonder if he gets in the Hall of Fame in his first ballot?
