      Hello man,
A few months ago I left a comment and we never really finished a conversation about a specific T. The issue that has been on my heart for a long time is that you ignored me which I really didnt appreciate but I understand with family, holidays, personal life, etc.....it can overwhelm you. You have alot of followers and subscribers including myself but I feel like more veteran subscribers get more attention

@@bensbugz5574 I'm sorry you fell that way my friend. It is difficult to keep up with hundreds of comments of videos as well as FB, instagram, Twitter, etc. I do my best to respond to messages and comments. But having conversations in youtube comments can be difficult to keep up with. It is very easy for comments notifications to get buried under other notifications. It isnt like there is an inbox like Instagram has where I can check through it on my free time to see what messages need responded to. And please take into consideration this isnt my full time job. I work at least 45 hours a week at a business that has nothing to do with video or Tarantulas. I also have a wife and kids and family that need my attention as well. I'm sorry you felt like I abandoned the conversation as that was not my intent. But I am well aware I am not able to answer every single question and help out every person individually as I am just one person. That is part of the reason I created the Tarantula Collective faceboom group. So there is a platform and community of people with expereince and knowledge that can help people out and answer questions if I dont have the answer or just dont have the time to respond as quickly as the situation demands.

Tarantulas or any other arachnid for that matter, are highly under appreciated for the value they bring in maintaining a balanced ecosystem. All tarantulas have a uniqueness to them, and the different paint jobs created by nature can be pretty spectacular. Where else in the arachnid family are you going to see female lifespans with a wide range upward of forty years or more?

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. There is just too much uncertainty and legal issues surrounding the T. seladonia being sold in the states. I dont want any negative attention from the USFWS and I dont want to recomend people buy a species that is in a legal gray area. Once all that Lacey Act stuff gets figured out and there are some official statements from the USFWS about legally selling them in the US, I may have to update the list. But for nownthats a political and legal quagmire I dont want to step in.

Brazilian jewel tarantula could've maybe been on this list as I've seen adults go for £750/$1000 and they are probably the most colourful tarantula I've seen plus they make a trapdoor in tree trunks which is really unique for tarantulas, birupes simoroxigorum can also be very expensive.

@lanckie I'll be honest I think they should remain off the hobby market as they are endangered in the wild and they are being poorly affected buy people capturing them in the wild for sale, they are also hard to breed, and need fairly unique housing requirements, many if them die in captivity because their care sheet is complicated

That's a great idea! And is there a difference from sling to juvie and juvie to adult? Sling to juvie from what I have I would nominate GBB for NW mine was 1/2" when I got it in August of 2019 and now pushing 2 1/2" now in February(currently in the den webbed up moullting again). OW my OBT RCF got in October 2019 at 3/4" is now 2" plus, as well as the Pokies sp. Lowland got in October 2019 at 1" are pushing 2 3/4" already. Would love to see what you come up with Richard?

Ok at the honourable mentions I thouht: "neat. I have a D. diamantinensis."
And then came number 1. I'll have you know I actually have a T. sp. Panama sling!
I actually bought two for 50 bucks each but unfortunately one died shortly after I recieved it. Must've been injured during the shipping. Really sucks :(
Species I missed on this list are T. seladonia (though I understand the reasoning for not including it) and the B. simoroxigorum.
Nonetheless a nice video to come back too. Very high quality as usual from you.

The bulk of the price (for most T's) comes when they've reached juvenile maturity and have been properly sexed as females. And then know they aren't fated to die in a few years (or less).

They are very rare to find for sale and often very expensive so I hope you find one, you probably have already done your research but they also require very specific housing in order to be comfortable, its also worth mentioning that once they make a retreat they rarely come out except to eat but it's definitely worth it as they are gorgeous

    Hello, newbie here!
Thank you for your clear, level-headed videos. I enjoy your relatively neutral stance on many topics, including pros and cons on various subjects. As I am still working to overcome my arachnophobia, I find these misunderstood critters to be much more fascinating than I once thought. I don't think I will be purchasing my first tarantula anytime soon, as I want to make sure I am truly ready when I make that move, in order to be a responsible owner. (In that regard, your videos have helped me a tremendous amount in figuring out what I need to take into consideration. Thanks again!) It will likely take at least a few years, but I recently made up my mind that if I ever feel ready to own a tarantula, I would start with a Gramostola Pulchra. If all goes well, maybe I would then add a Bumba Cabocla (admitedly, one of the main reasons would be to call it ''Boombox'', but I wouldn't do it if it didn't match my criterias, so I guess it's still fair...). I will admit that I love the looks of the Gooty Sapphire, but I doubt I'll ever feel confident enough with my tarantula-keeping skills to ever get an Old World, so...I'll stick to pictures, for now... ;)
Thanks again, and have a great day!
