A friend is giving me
Nope you are NOT going.... lol
Just got my first T today at NARBC in Arlington. Had to go with GBB! Thank you for helping to educate the community Richard!
Getting ready to move into a new house and it’s been a while since my old days buying off Arachnoboards. Any suggestions especially in Northern California? Would prefer a shorter shipping trip for my babies
I want a tarantula pls
I work Local for FedEx and I can assure you that at least at my location, we care about your live animals! A reptile box went missing and my manager tore the entire building apart to find it. We make sure ya critters are well taken care of when put on the vans for delivery!
wow...that is very awesome! thanks for passing this info along....it is good to hear fedex cares about our animals too!
Thank you!
❤
Thank you 🙏
Means a lot bro, real talk
I love how much this channel has grown in a couple of months, especially when it covers a topic so strange to most people
Thanks. It has been mind blowing. It was just back at the beginning of November I was celebrating 10k and now its over 24k. And I've only been making videos for a little over a year. I never thought the channel would grow like this in such a niche community.
I'm sorry if this is a really random or annoying question, but do you know of any expos near Arizona?
@@philipingvar3652 I wish! My wife and I went to Sedona for our honeymoon and I've been eager to get back out that way but havent been able to make the trip yet. Hopefully one day though!
Production value is really high as well as informational value.
Best in the scene IMHO.
@@philipingvar3652 search for Phoenix reptile expo, most reptile expos also have tarantulas.
My wife got me a stripe knee for Valentine's day and started this addiction. Now I also have a gbb and tomorrow I'm picking up a Brazilian Black and a Golden Blueleg Baboon. I might need rehab.
lol
tell me about it, nov 2019 0 t's, feb 2020 7 t's but i can stop whenever i want to honest
My first t was an aphonopelma seemani (striped knee), named her Sylvia. Still have her and now after her second molt in two years I'm gaining confidence in my keeping ability. I am waiting for fear not to get back from the expo to order a few more.
Getting a T for Valentine's day definitely is a goal
david 84 my story is the exact same and even the dates are close 😂 so I feel what your going through
I honestly enjoy watching my Pumpkin Patch grow! I know people prefer a faster growing spiderling, but I will cry the day she no longer fits in her sauce cup 😭😭
I have mine literally in a McCormick spice bottle, and it's name is Spice!
Just rehoused mine after three molts in the tiny vile she came in. They grow up so fast 😢
My father and I raised spiders together as a child and he passed away a few years ago; after a big move into my first own permanent nest and some grief therapy, I'm ready to pick up the family mantle and I'm so happy to come across this playlist, thank you so much! 🥺💜
How has it been ?? Did a T end up working well ?
thats really nice, im about to order one with my dad
this hobby is addictive but i am managing to hang on with my single curly hair juvie, it is so hard to resist buying new T's
hey man! hows your curly hair doing? i just got my sling a week ago
@@ov9ko969 I've had it for 2 years and 3 months now and he's so much bigger now I'm currently trying to rehouse him as he has had a mold outbrake in his enclosure also congrats on the new T!
The tarantula hobby is very addictive = AGREE! Went to buy one, left the specialized store with 3 and now there are 3 more I really want.
This guy seems so friendly! I just want to hang out with him and have some beers :P I sometimes feel intimidated by big men like this, but he has such a beautiful smile and he seems like he would be so nice and give really great hugs ☺️ He strikes me as a Hagrid type- may look intimidating on first glance, but is probably incredibly warm and loyal. Plus he and Hagrid both love big spiders and providing education about lesser known creatures lol
Used to be deathly afraid of the idea of tarantulas but this whole community have really changed my perspective! I currently have a T. Vagans sling and I have a GBB as well as a Salmon Pink on the way. I am so excited to learn more and get hands on experience with these beautiful creatures!
I have a couple of ideas for videos
1) Tarantula fasting
2) Tarantula behavior during different seasons (spring, summer etc especially winter)
I really enjoy your content and after Tom Moran you are my go to guy for knowledge
I really want to get my first tarantula but everyone in my life is warning me against it, like if it were radioactive. Makes me want to get one more TBH
Did you get one
Well??
Well? I wanna know!
Did you get one??
Radioactive, you are joking right 😄
I have 5 now since i first bought my first one :)
Ah this is so useful :D my first tarantula will be an arizona blonde in maybe a year
I would like to get an Arizona Blonde as well, one day. . . Living in Hawaii we cannot keep spiders or any other non-native species.
I'm very interested in this species also, I don't see them available much though. Not sure why, considering they're native to the U.S.
I would like a desert blonde too
Annnnnnd another comment, maybe talk about your favorite containers/enclosures for all ages and types.
love that idea! thanks
I just ordered my very first Tarantula after binge watching Tarantula care and species videos etc for 3 days. Not just 1 keeper but as many as I could find. I ordered from one of the breeders recommended on your site. Beasley Exotics. I am so excited and cannot wait to get my T! 😁😁 Started with jumpers that I now have 8 of that got me over my severe arachnophobia and now I'm addicted to spider keeping 😍
I started with my love of jumpers too! Now I have an E. Campestratus sling 🥰
@@_Pelagikos14 My Brachypelma hamorii should be here hopefully tomorrow. I also ordered a tliltocatl albopilosus that should be here next week too. I'm starting all new world beginner T's of course 😊😁
No dislikes so far. That's how it should be. My first T. was a Chaco Golden Knee sling someone just gave to me. That was about nine years ago and luckily, she became a cute, big and peaceful female and I still have her. Totally recommendable to begin with.
Thanks a lot...lol...
I cannot wait to move out so that I can get a few tarantulas myself. I live with my parents currently, and there is not much room. Watching videos gives me inspiration and knowledge so I can be a little more prepared. :)
That is awesome!
I saw your vid. Instant like button
thanks my friend!
Good one again . If you're a new keeper or an old hand , I'd suggest a complete package from F N T . Got my first slings a month ago . Still nervous about them . Also Fear not will send you a short list of instructions . One says if you choose to unbox them in the bathtub make sure you plug the drain . Someone learned the hard way .
Totally sending this to my friend!! He is ordering his first T soon and you have really inspired him to start this addiction. Thanks for another great video!!!!
Is there a word for a tarantula addiction? Because I for sure have it.
I have a tarantula that’s a juvenile. She was gifted to me by a friend who couldn’t keep her. I’m not gonna lie, I want a spiderling to see it grow up 😂, the spiderlings you shared are so, so cute!
Hello. I actually have arachnophobia and I am working on getting over my fear over spiders so I said, what better way than having my own baby. So I got a guatamalan tiger rump. This helped me learn more about them and reduce my anxiety and I hope to provide the best for my sling! Wish me luck!
Planning to get my first T ( Avicaluria Avicaluria) and I'd love to see a husbandry guide for these cuties!! If you could do that it would be most appreciated!!

@@gretchellestout3879 yep. I learned that the hard way
Man you channel is amazing, I'm glad to have someone so passionate about tarantula producing amazing contents like this, thanks!
It never gets old to get spiderlings and see them grow up 🥰
great video bro!
Very Well Explained!
Very cool, Thank you!
This was so helpful. Thank you!
I recently got my first tarantula in the mail. I ordered from Ken the bug guy. She came in perfect condition. I highly recommend ordering them online as you have a MUCH bigger selection of tarantulas you can buy. My pet store only has b. smithi slings nothing more
love your explanations👍👍
I’m finally expecting, thank you for all your info!!!
I love your videos! I look forward to them!!!
Ive learned a lot and I keep learning!!!
Thank you!!!
An excellent source of information! Thanks!!
Just found your channel I love how informative you are keep up the good work!!!

Love your nursery for the spiderlings!
Good On .... Your rocking it! Richard!!
Dude your videos are amazing
Thank you for doing these videos!! I'm looking into getting my first T and it's really nice to have so much good info in one place.
You helped ease any anxiety over my first t purchase back in October, and I’m happy to say I got 10 absolutely gorgeous t’s as of today👍🕷
Such an informative video and exactly what I need to see. Thanks bro.
I love your videos! Super fascinated by tarantulas!
Love you’re channel :) hello from uk
Your video's are verder informative. Thanks for the dedication
Just ordered my first Tarantula tonight. It should be here Tuesday. So excited!
That was a great video! I plan on getting my first T sometime soon, and this helped.
Fear not tarantulas is an amazing company!!! Great t’s and people. Nice vid Richard 👍🏽
This is like the 4th time I've watched this! This channel is so helpful! Thanks Richard! 🔥
i've been wanting a tarantula and i found your channel while doing research on them and you've helped so much!! i'll be getting one sometime within the next few months, thank you for all of the info you spread! the way you put your videos together too is amazing- entertaining and i love seeing all the different shots you get. your basement would be the coolest thing ever to walk into, so well put together! keep up the amazing work!
Great, thanks!

im so happy i found your channel i just got back into the hobby after i last my gooty a few years ago and now im trying to remember everything. I just went out and bought 4 slings 2 OW 2 NW and its been a while so thanks for the refresher, very cool channel
Really informative and helpful since I plan to enter the hobby in May.
I really want to get my first T, iv just stumbled across this video and its so educational! Thanks alot this has tons of advice and stuff for me to learn from! Im gonna check your other videos now too!
You got a big fat sub from me
I've been a member of the collective for a while (under another channel name), and I still come back to watch these videos over and over. That says something about how informative they are. You're a stand up dude, and I appreciate that.
Thank you so much! My daughter will be getting one in about a month and a half, she is so excited!
This was very helpful! The quality of your videos is awesome, you teach us so much. This channel has helped me so much as a new T keeper!!
Great video! We just got our first T today, a Caribena versicolor sling :).
Hey yall! Richard thanks for another great video! I'm about to get my T. SALEDONIA tomorrow I'm hoping. It's been cold so I've had to wait ..I'm so excited!
I just got my very first T, a G. pulchra sling! thank you for sharing all this information, I'm going to watch the whole new keeper recommended playlist!
Thanks so much for this playlist! I've wanted some type of pet spider or tarantula for years, and these videos are helping push me to that edge 🤣
you’re so dope man !!
I love all of your videos! 🖤 This is so helpful! I'm hoping to get a Rose Hair (my very first tarantula!) in a few months and your videos have been super helpful!
You are on hell of a teacher! Very very interesting feed.
I’m finally going to be adding some T’s to my scorpion collection and this video really made me much more confident in the switch. Keep up the great videos man
Looking into getting one! I watched a bunch of videos and thank goodness i cane across yours! Keep it up man!
This really works as a first primer. When I first got into the hobby all the new vocab confused me, and it took some time to read more and learn to understand. This vid would have helped me when I first started out, so good job.
Just ordered my first Tarantula a Brackypelma Hamorii. Your channel has provided so much insight, inspiration and help. just want to say many thanks :D
I'm about to get my first T, this was a great video ad I love that you spoke about the longterm commitment! I'm a longtime animal rescuer who always pushes that angle. Whenever getting any animal as a baby...think 1st about it as an adult. And the years of care ahead of both of you.
And I can see exactly what you mean about quickly growing your collection in excitement! Very cool that you mentioned how much room they take up as they grow! I imagine a lot of excited newbies may not initially think about that when they fit on a shelf!
Great vid!
Great information, thanks for making all the informative videos. Love watching exotic lairs feeding ones. But love the more care information in yours. Getting more interested in maybe getting one, probably a pumpkin patch some day. Or maybe praying mantis, but they don't live very long I hear only a year.
Just got my curly hair trueform spiderling today and super syked this video was great help!
because of getting so addicted to the intro and the content of the collective
i just bought
1pc cm size auratum
1pc cm size fireleg
2 inches size chaco
hahaha and planning to add pmet and a shitload more
Thanks it really helps me
aweosome! I am so glad this was helpful!
Great, great video man. top advice. looking to get my first spiderling soon. Been 31 years since I had a Chile Rosehair when i was 20!
I love your videos
Thx for the amazing videos I’m a animal and reptile Mama I’ve never had a tarantula but I love them (the only thing holding me back is the Urticating hairs) I just LOVE THESE VIDEOS and am binging them rn and learning so much!
Fantastic information Mate I already have Ts but still really useful especially as a reminder not to get to many lol
Wow! The way they eat! You know your stuff Sir!⭐️⭐️⭐️💯
My first two T's come in tomorrow! B. Hamorii and a T. Albopilosus! Thanks for the informative video :) very excited to get into this hobby
Brilliant video! Great tips and things to remember!
i appreciate that! thanks for the comment
I Love your word "If you are comfortable, your T also comfortable." This video is so helpful to me. Thanks Richard :)
My first ever T, a 1.5 female B. Klaasi, should be here tomorrow! Can't wait to meet her. Such a beautiful spider.
I'm getting a pink toe tarantula next month and I love your videos about them! I'm Learning a lot from you About them from uou and other people on CZcams I even have a friend that had one and teaching me the thrm to! It's my first tarantula!
2 minutes into the first video I've seen from this channel and already I'm subscribed. Well played.
I currently have 4. I have room for 6 more. I already know what ones I want and know where to get my adult enclosures. You are the reason I bought my Brachypelma boehmei 😍 I can't wait until it starts showing it's adult colors!
Awsome video as always. One thing I will add just from personal experience with ordering slings is I thought I was getting a 1/2 inch sling but it ended up being closer to 1 inch due to molting during shipping or they just put a larger sling in. Not a big deal but I have had to rethink the enclosure I was putting them in a couple times.
Awesome video, I was debating on whether or not to get an adult tarantula but I think I'm going to get a smaller one
Ordered my first T’s this Is very helpful!! I think
I’m getting a juvenile and a sling.. so I have 2 different housing options!
YES YES YES, this is the video/answer ive been waiting for! Private breeders recommended by the man himself! Thank u very much! Ill make sure my country allows the import of tarantulas before i buy one of ur suggested breeders. Again thank u very much!
Always wanted one growing up but my mom got me snakes, frogs, turtles instead. Now that I am older doing research and now I found a expert hope to learn more and be ready when I get my first Tarantula.
Hi Richard! Nice video again!
rock on...thanks for the support
Grear video sir! I have a tiny B. boehmei from the year 2017, now totally a semi-adult and now I have 12 species of tarantula with different sizes. I had once bought an adult B. emilia but I failed to took care of it because of mites and inexperience with the hobby but I have learned from it and now I enjoy taking care of my T's starting from slings. 🕷️
Good solid info as usual.
thanks Shawn!
Great video, epic shirt. :-)
Thanks....I designed them and have the for sale on my website along with a few other styles of shirts beyond just the normal logo.

Wish me luck on my journey
I have a G.Porteri 3/4” sling, as well as an A. Seemani juvie/adult. Both are great!
