Depending on the time of day, the creepiest creature in my basement is probably me.
🧟♂️🧟♂️🧟♂️🤣🤣😂
LOL
I just look at the family.
Honestly same
Same here
Seeing a black widow in the wild never bothered me much... it's when I look away, then back and it's gone that I tended to get nervous.
My camel spiders never fail to give my friends the shivers. Especially when it is feeding.
Gotta love those mandible moves.
I´ve heard that camel spiders die in captivity and its nearly impossible to keep them alive long time.True?
@@wollewolf9863 The ones we have here in Utah are pretty hardy little buggers. I haven't had any species from anywhere else but from my research they are very similar to each other in care much like preying mantis are. They are pretty short lived though. Typically they live for a bit more than a year and when you just happen to find one on the porch (how I got all mine) they are usually middle aged. So as a pet it will only last for about 6 months or so. I think that there may be longer living species but I am more of a tarantula guy. Some tarantula females can live to 25-30 years.
Same here my other 1/2 thinks they r a demon the way she act to the ones I gave . But she pkay with the rest of the inverts what is odd to say lol
@@jeffreybrugmans5325 they are harmless. I have been bitten numerous times and they can't even break the skin.
Millipedes are just the cows of the arthropod world.
They’re too adorable to be creepy 🤣
Well tgere is one factor if you handle one they leave a poisonous oil on your hands tgat smells foul
@SuperFm101 if I remember correctly, that poisonous foul smelling oil is actually cyanide, as a lot of species of millipedes are Able to produce it as a defense while stressed from predators and handling
Honestly quite an interesting fact for a truly beautiful and adorable creature
But needless to say, wash your hands immediately after handling, you really don’t want to ingest that while eating
This was seriously like movie quality stuff man! I got an immense amount of entertainment value out of this as well as information! Keep it up, I never wanna see these end.
That video was so kick-ass, especially the ending... was too funny! Hey have you guys ever seen (very not creepy) peacock spiders? Get some of those little beauties! Definitely check them out on you tube if no one has! Also spiders on drugs, super funny video. Thanx so much!
I have several species of mantis, they’re more cool than they are scary, their eating habits on the other hand 😬
What species r they, cause ima get videos of those guys freaky eating
I love my mantids! I have popas, a budwing, ghosts, and violins.
Adhamelmaghalawi _ , at the moment I have an adult male rhombodera basalis, an adult female deroplatys truncata, and subadult female parablepharis kuhlii asiatica, and planning on getting more in the future
Kevin Poe ......my taxonomy is terrible
Of all the spiders I've seen and read about, I have actually never seen the green lynx one and I must say it is beautiful!!!
Agree 100%. That was the one in this video that impressed me the most!
Yeah my scorpion bangs on it’s enclosure when I’m trying to sleep, it doesn’t have a lid
Perhaps it's listening to the rock band the scorpions.
The green lynx spider is out of this world, creepy crawly!
That was a sick intro my man 🤙
Thanks dude!
the_tarantula_collective no prob brotha keep up the great work!! If you ever plan a meet up on the east coast put the word out I’ll be sure to stop by
One of the creepiest invert things for me was the sound a bin of Scolopendra make, laying waste to a box of crickets. A slithery, crunching cacophony.
Okay, I just re-watched this video and I've gotta stand up for my beautiful widow ladies. Those males they eat after mating deserve it - lazy jerks hardly ever web up on their own, they let the ladies do all the hard work of catching and incapacitating prey, then they come along, wreck the web and steal it right out from under her. Rude.
I love my widows. If the tarantulas aren't enough to keep people from dropping in without notice, mentioning that I have more than a few widows usually does the trick. ;)
- Has a fear of spiders
- Gets attacked by a tarantula on Animal Crossing and freaks out
HOW DID I GET HERE AND WHY CAN'T I STOP WATCHING? I have been watching tarantula videos for over an hour now.
I'm sitting on a chair currently coveted on Brown Widow and California Funnel Web Spiders....
Yet, TRUE Black Widows still send shivers up my spine
I found this channel by accident recently. I love your content, and the photography is INCREDIBLE! Keep up the good work dude!
I dont know what but whip scorpions have always given me the shivers
I’m up to 14 tarantulas now! Every time I get a new one I watch this dudes video on that species. Best CZcams channel ever!
I keep Lynx Spiders and Huntsman Spiders.
You deserve a hundred thousand subs bro! Btw I think you can add the skeleton tarantula as a special mention. I know it wasn't spooky all the time but I think it fits for the holloween. Great vid bud!
No doubt! That would've been perfect for this episode.
Once we had an spider hunting under water (german name: Wasserspinne). Translate in to english this means water spider. They build an air bobbel under water and can ceep some air whit them at their hairs while hunting.
They even catch small fish in rare situations.
I've been arachnophobic all my life, but since I have been binge watching these videos, I have grown to love tarantulas, unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever get over my fear of Black Widows or Brown Recluse spiders.
Great video sir. The black widow bit was way cool. While not necessarily creepy to me,I have a male Gonodactylaceus graphurus (Orange Spot Mantis Shrimp) thats a total boss. I live in a 3 story house and can hear him smashing things in the basement while upstairs!
Oh wow....that sounds pretty cool!
9:09
Awww. This spider wanted to be in the video too❤😂 That's a cute one, not gonna lie.
th first invert that I ever got in my collection was a vinageroon, his name is Hephestus and still alive today!
The legendary scorpion how long have you had him?
That's awesome! Ive always wanted a vinegaroon but my family is scared TO DEATH by them
Awesome video! As always, thanks! Former arachnophobe here but still can't get over those dumb spider crickets, creepiest things ever! Getting the chills just thinking about it right now!
I captured a brown widow that was in our garage when we started breaking it down, that’s currently my creepiest pet,I have a grammastola pulchripes but I find it more cute than anything else 😬😂
The Egyptian Giant Solpugid isn't dangerous and lacks venom, but it is still horrifying to look at. They're also super fast and have a reputation for following people's shadows to escape the heated desert. I'd argue they're more terrifying than amplypigids and vinegaroons just by appearance alone.
The black widow was the first non-tarantula arachnid I added to my collection and I love them so much. I don't think I'll never NOT have them in my collection again. The way they carefully and cautiously hunt is mind boggling to me after owning tarantulas, plus they're gorgeous
You've got a wicked collection love thm all especially the black widow. 😄
Harvestmen are pretty creepy. They are often mistaken for spiders; particularly cellar spiders and also share the “daddy long-leg” moniker. I used to see harvestmen on Ken the Bug Guy’s webpage, and he had some different colored ones also. They are not venomous and they are not actually spiders at all. Black hole spiders are a good alternative, and are super easy to take care of. They looked like young wolf spiders when I saw and held one. The are fairly creepy and skittish.
You say creepiest . . .
I say natures most beautiful !
👍😉
Check out the giant orb weaver spider ! It’s pretty creepy to handle.
solifugae certainly are missing, they are super creepy yet harmless
I get the creeps just seeing those things behind my phone screen
i miss the camel spider on this list. those things creep me out but i also love them
I use to have female and male Sydney funnel web, I had red back spiders in jars.
Here red back spider will be found on eastern side of buildings.
We have some lovely tarantulas here but would love new world species.
My Asian forest does the same thing I have all of mine in my room and it keeps me up some nights clanking around. So sick to watch though
The tailless whip scorpion is what was in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! Didn't know what it was called until this video haha! Thanks, really fun video to watch, even not on Halloween!😁
Vinegaroons are so cool, I loved taking care of mine. I'm also glad I don't have to worry about a venemous sting or bite
how can your production quality be this good but you have only 16k subs
how tf. should def have more. I'll send my fellow invert lovers your way ♥
Thanks a lot! That is a very awesome compliment. I'm glad you like the content. I've only been putting out videos for about a year and started out with my cellphone and no knowledge on how to use a camera or edit a video. So I've been learning on the fly and upgrading my gear and trying to learn some new editing style with every video....so hopefully in time people will start to discover my channel. Breaking through on CZcams is tough work.
@@tarantulacollective fur sure fur sure! and everyone's gotta start somewhere. I'm actually an arachnologist, so I know a quite a few people who will be interested in watching. I'll recommend you wherever i can. you definitely deserve the boost, if for no other reason than your tone, after watching quite a few videos now I've seen not only are you willing, but you're very pleased to be corrected and desire to learn. it's an awesome trait and i really hope it takes you far.
When I used to Live in Zanzibar many, many years ago, they had Giant African Millipedes there (Archispirostreptus gigas.).
They used to call them the Tanganyika Trains as they would grow over 12 inches long.
My dad used to collect and put any invertebrates that were found in the house into a large specimen bottle of formalin to keep to remind us when we got back to the UK of what he'd found. Some of the ones he had were upto 10 inches long. Still only 2/3rds fully grown!! :-))...
And then there were the centipedes too. Some of those were 8 inches long and as thick as your index finger!! :-((...
8:00 lol, yup....got a guy that comes out once a month a sprays our perimeter for these suckers.
I don’t mind them but don’t want them around my pool or home and near my pets.
Cheers from Las Vegas 😂👍🏼💋
I once walked around New Mexico catching black widows, super cool
Me: oh look..centipedes... Oh hey there's the skip button... 😂
Ya hit it with the centipedes. *shivers*
This video was freaking amazing. As always. And the ending cracked me up! 😂 Keep up the great work!
LoL....centipedes ARE creepy....I dont blame you...lol! Glad you enjoyed the video....I spent A LOT of time putting it together...but you gotta go all out on HALLOWEEN!
@@tarantulacollective I got bit by a little red centipede when I was a kid and let me tell you... their venom might be mild up here, but it still felt like I got nailed by a hornet. My hand throbbed for days.
Never went near the fuckers again
Nope we use to get the house ones but I like millipedes.
The black widow you showed looked like a red back spider
Your black widow spider has the most beautiful red markings on its back, and a beautifully shaped hourglass 🕷️🕸️
I appreciate this guys production value
thanks!
Honestly, I just found you, just watched a few of your vids, and I love how you present your information and your collection.
Awesome, thank you! It is great having you!
🦂💀😱😈Cool video!🤡👻🎃🕷
Armoured crickets freak me out! Crickets and roaches generally, but these are just too much for me.😂 And praying mantises are also creepy bc of their eyes... they seem to look right into your soul...😬
Thanks Sandy! Armoured crickets do look creepy...I just googled them!
My son and I really enjoy your channel. Love your enthusiasm.
Not spiders but camel crickets. They freak me out! I think they are harmless but they look like something out of Resident Evil.
My tomato frog is really cute but when it croaks, which it only do at the dead of night. The sound is kind of creepy
Brown Recluse spider...
It's not a pet, but it did try to kill me in 2011...
Not only was I lucky to live, but I was lucky to keep my left arm...
Watching videos like yours are also helping me with my fear (just of spiders, I'm still scared of dying... That didn't change) 😊
Spiders and bugs and insects have never bothered me much but I suddenly have an irrational fear of tailless whip scorpions. Those things are soooo freaky.
When I lived in Phx I saw my share of Arizona Bark Scorpions 🦂. Brown RecluseandBlack Widow spiders 🕷. Fortunately I never got stung or bitten by any of them. Have a great weekend everyone
horrid kings are just AWESOME WITH THEM SPIKES!!!
Loved this video!! I guessed quite a few in your list but some were a surprise. I may have included a house centipede - super cool but freaks me a little!Fun video!
Awesome video! To me the creepiest is a Potato Bug. hahaha! First time I saw one I was like: WHAT IN THE 9 HELLS IS THAT??? lol!!
As for spiders, centipedes and scorpions..well, being born and raised in Hawaii - we had those huge Cane Spiders that were all over the place inside your home. Though non-venomous, they would scare the bejeezus out of me, especially if you move a bath towel and they're right under there - those things are FAST! I got stung by centipedes several times because they'd crawl up my pant legs without me knowing so when I'd sit down...BAM! Yah...fun... And for scorpions well, they're just all over the place so will eventually get stung if you stick your hand in the right place at the wrong time. lol!
That opening... Love that effort.
Ahah, like you for your fear of tarantulas, I got my first emperor scorpions in hope to overcome my "fear" of them! While I found them very pretty and interesting, scorpions, most likely due to there not being anything like them here in Québec, the idea of being close to one always made me uncomfortable. Like... I would be able to admire them, and was quite fond of their look, but could never muster the courage to actually care for one.
Now I'm always looking forward to going back to my mom's place (living in dorm, pets not allowed :'( ) so I can care for them!
Vinegaroons are SO AMAZING!!! I have one, and she's so amazing! I've never been sprayed by her yet (touching wood lol), and handling her is really fun!
I LOVE this video!!!! And that ending lol. Awesome and amazing job!
This guy should be a T.V presenter
When I lived in Fort Myers FL, I saw widows all the time, black & brown. I never saw one with a body that looked like a raw nutmeg fruit before. Very cool. My favorite spiders will always be the jumpers though. Tough little hunters. :)
I give you props to housing an Arizona Bark. I live in Phoenix, born and raised, and I cant get over them. They're everywhere, even in my nightmares. Ive had black widows, and their eggs with hundreds of their babies laying dorment in my couch. But the Bark scorpion reigns as my all time worst experience. Had them coming down from my apartment light fixture. Had babies too. Creepy AF.
Same!! Im in az see them too often ugh
Great video! One creepy crawly that i have has got to be either a pair of ornate harvestmen, kinda looking like a cross between a crab and a spider, OR my newly acquired orange assassin bug, now, im not too keen on them, they freak me out, but i saw him on a floating log at a lake and though, why not? Gave him a second chance, and me a newfound fondness to them. Sorry for the essay haha, but i seriously like your videos!
Oh wow! that is cool...I havent seen an orange assassin bug until i just googled it. Thanks for the support!
I don't know of anyone keeping them as pets, but I've photographed Yellow Garden Spiders, Banded Argiope Spiders and Wheel Bugs in the wild. All three species are large and impressive.
You need a Brazilian wondering spider, six eyes sand spider and wolf spider. I normally walk in the opposite direction when I come across one on my safaris but you seem like a brave fella.🕷🕸🕷😁 Nice video!!!👌
I definitely thought that camel spiders would have made this list!
Loved the list. Personally the huntsman scares me more, they don't move... They teleport...
That Columbian funnel web spider has some LOOONG spinnerettes.
The assassin bugs are awesome. Watching them feed is cool too especially when they start fighting over the food! 💋
Subbed for the assassin bugs. CZcams is fairly lacking in quality content about reduviidae, these guys need their own vid!
There is one coming down the pipe...i assure you!
@@tarantulacollective Nicee!
My tailless whip scorpion was my first arachnid! I love her so much 🤩❤️
Dude, I just want to appreciate you. Great job on all your vids!
Your black widow is really kewl looking with the stripes on it's back. We have them every where here where I live, but the ones here are solid black with just the hourglass. I didnt know how different they could look. Love your videos, cant wait for the next one!
I love black widows... I find them so beautiful! I love their slender legs and that black with the red markings. I've always admired and loved black widows! I had a wild one that chilled near me where I lived... She got food... I got to not be bitten by mosquitoes!
Camel spiders for me are the cutest things ever
Are you delusional???
Peacock jumping spiders tho. They do a little dance for you!
I hate those things
I kept a black widow in a blender when I lived in 29 palms😂. She got bigger than I thought.
I had to let it go when a SSgt found it in my unsecured wall locker during inspection. They really are amazing for a web spider. Very elegant.
At this point, I’m becoming peoples worst nightmare. Every time I watch one of your videos, I walk away like “Hmm, that species was so cool! Maybe if I do my research enough I can get that!” And all my arachnophobic friends and family sigh in the background 😭
Just subbed ! Glad I stumbled across your channel 👍🏼👍🏼I’ve been keeping inverts for years and it’s always fun to watch them 👌👌
I LIVE IN LOUISIANA AND HERE WE HAVE MORE THAN OUR SHARE OF BLACK WIDOW SPIDERS. AS A KID I GUESS I WAS CRAZY BECAUSE I PICKED THEM UP AND PLAYED WITH THEM. NEVER WAS BITTEN.
Happy birthday Richard!!! Have a good one
Loving your videos Richard..thank you
Glad you like them!
i love ur style at making vids very cool and crepy
Thanks a lot...I'm still learning though..lol
Lol that was cool he was hanging on your shirt
I have severe arachnophobia but this video was indeed very interesting
glad you enjoyed it!
I have a tailless whip scorpion in my collection. A Damon Medius species. Her name is Moody after Mad Eye Moody from Harry Potter. She’s cool but she’s definitely creepy at times. Whenever I mist her enclosure, she scurries right out from behind her cork bark to give me the death stare 😅
i’ve been looking for husbandry videos because im going to a reptile convention soon and your videos are so helpful! i love the work you put in editing and the valuable info. subscribed for more!!
**Me seeing scorpion** : "oh it look like a crab...
Can I eat it?
This was Fantastic Very Good Show 👍
Thanks! Happy Halloween 🕷
The camel spiders are also kinda creepy
I had a dragon head cricket, Cosmoderus sp. Which was very odd but cute too. Apparently they can give a painful, but venomless, bite.
This was a fun video dude! Good editing, great cinematography too. Keep up the great work bro!
Hey I just wanted to say Thank You for all the information you provide not only is it informative but you have a knack for the camera keep up on the good job oh by the way I’m a new bee
That green link is beautiful
Aussie Redback! And Sydney Funnel Web! Not sure if you're allowed to import our critters, but if so please do!
Oh and Camel Spiders are just nasty looking beasts!
And LOL with the creepy humour throughout 😂
LOL, I think your neighbors know what you have in your basement by now. 🤣🤣
just got my first pink toe today and found your channel!
Rock on! Congrats on your new Pinktoe! A very awesome species. And welcome to the channel! I'm glad you found it 😎
@@tarantulacollective Thanks man! And I just wanted to say, Its really nice when you see a youtube that is truly passionate about what they are doing. I feel like you have a good future ahead of you on this platform! Keep it up man.👌
Happy Halloween Richard! Amazing how you put your vid together, found it awesome to watch, your Collective looks amazing, always a pleasure watching your vids, looking forwards to the next one 👍😎
I love my blackwidows, they were the first arachnid i ever kept.
Anything in the Latrodectus (widow) family is spooky!
